Juan answered all of my questions, addressed concerns, and helped decide on what route to take. His technician, Eli, was just as helpful. On the day of installation, I had other "bright ideas" that Eli actually entertained and evaluated each task that would be needed to complete my changes. At the end of it, I was quoted for 3 different paths, and without pressure allowed me to choose what suited me best. Our instalation of EV charger ended within schedule and was mounted perfectly. I mentioned it Eli when he was here, but they weren't the cheapest, nor most expensive, but Juan was the most straight forward and willing person to discuss my projects goals, and that's what won the bid. I highly recommend Reel Electric for any electrical or smoke detector issues. I was having constant trouble with my smoke detectors, and they quickly sent an electrician out. Luis Montano was fantastic at troubleshooting, he pinpointed the exact root of the problem, and even scheduled the installers to come out and handle the repairs. Be careful with these guys. When something sounds too good to be true, it normally is. They entice people with the "free" inspection/diagnosis but pull the old bait and switch once they do their initial "inspection" where they try to swindle $600 for their more detailed consultation. What's worse is that the issue we had was nothing more than faulty light bulbs, which the HONEST company was able to figure out right away. Yes, we paid for the consultation with the other guys, but they didn't try to rip us off without even performing the inspection. Beware! read more

My home had flickering lights intermittently. Inside and outside. Though friends suggested loose wire connection(s), I watched as circuits grew from kitchen ceiling, to down hall, to bedroom table lamp, to outside garage wall, but not to living room table lamps, to ... Lightbulbs (we removed, replaced, endlessly). Decided to seek talent - but after searching online and by words from locals, finally decided I'd best consider Distance (cause I knew this would not be solved with a single trip! And trips from furnace job done in 2025 had jumped from $45 to $90. Each) . Phoned REEL ELECTRIC, nice voice (Juan), listened, set appt, it was Nathan who arrived and went into a low-key analysis of my situation thru words and examination of fuse box, switches and light-flickerings, etc. He offered five or six paths to remediation. From $1500 to $25,000. Path #1 is complete, and I am observing if more needs to be done. Path one started with the fuse box, and ended with the connectors in the attic. Contacted Reel Electric to diagnose and correct an issue we were having with loss of electricity to the master bedroom. Pros We were able to get the appointment quickly and they arrived promptly. Luis, the electrician was very knowledgeable and had great customer service. He walked us through a lot of the different things that they check for. They offered a free estimate appointment. Cons It would have been $295 to change out the GCFI if we let him try that and may not have been the problem. The prices were on the high side. Luis offered 3 options $595, $795, and $1295 for an analysis. The options were based on the number of rooms we wanted to get checked out. We asked if the price included the repair and were told that one outlet would be. I figured the analysis was already done when he was checking the sockets with his handheld tool. Then came the estimates for full rewiring and a new electrical panel with the highest price bring $20,000 and the lowest being $1776 for a subpanel and a breaker for the room. They offered financing options but the prices just seemed way too high. We got another company to come out and were quoted much less $12,000 to $13,000 for the rewiring, panel, outlets, electric vehicle hookup, solar panel hookup, and breakers and under $700 for the diagnostic, repair, 1 year warranty, and membership. Overall, I would say it's always a good idea to get multiple estimates. Although we got a friendly vibe from the company, their prices were inconsistent with our expectations given the work to be done. In response to Juan: thank you for your response. Unfortunately when we were asked if the issue would be repaired with the diagnostic charge we were told it would cover 1 outlet. Unfortunately given the problem consisted of multiple outlets and areas of the house a $600 diagnostic (that covers 1 room) would not have corrected the issue. read more

I contacted this company in order to get some information about a new/upgraded electric panel (as part of the 'charge ready' program), as they were on the approved Edison list for this service (and they had good reviews on Yelp). The person that I spoke to didn't know anything about the program/service that I requested information about. After telling me that they were an electrical company a couple of times, he told me that someone else would call me back to discuss the work (potentially $4000+ value).
