I trusted Juan and Carlos his son but I was wrong he replaced my electrical panel all was done right but Juan offered me a free attic inspection. A few months later he called me to do the inspection and he coated me $2000 to repair some wiring that was chewed by a rat he send me pictures of the electrical damage and burnt wires that I believe he did according to Avco heating and plumbing. I called Juan back after Avco can to repair a mistake they made and they did a full attic inspection. I told him the rat was nowhere to be found and he said he removed it that day which is a lie because he told me originally he did not wanna touch it and caused any more damage or get electrocuted. I would definitely not recommend them after he tried to rip me off. Be careful who you trust and ask for his license number. If you do contact him, I believe he will not give it to you., read more

I had a couple electricians quote me for some major electrical work. I ended up choosing JC Electrical for the work. They were fair in pricing for a full panel replacement and attic work that needed to be done. Juan and his son did great work. Would highly recommend them and if I had any other issues I would use them again. read more

If it has juice and it's not the refrigerator, call JC! Professional, fast, quality work, and fair price. Thanks to Carlos and his team, we now have so many ceiling fans our house is lifting off its foundation. I used to turn on the AC and cool the entire house just so 1 room would be comfortable, but no more. JC installed 2 new ceiling fans and replaced one--hope I don't get the remotes confused. I am certainly not going be confused about who to call if I need electrical work. And they also fixed a faulty GFI outlet, installed another GFI outlet in our kitchen, and replaced a gable vent in the attic. Highly recommended! read more

I have used the JC Electric on several electrical jobs big and small at my home. From replacing outlets and switches to replacing electrical panels. They are responsive and reliable and reasonably priced. Carlos showed me that a stupid handyman I hired earlier to install a subpanel and extra outlets in the garage had the outlets run on a 220 volt circuit instead of 110 which burned out my garage freezer. The handyman even used Romex inside a conduit which is a no no. Carlos made the correct repairs to meet code. From now I'll use JC Electric for all my electric needs. read more

Juan and his son were awesome. We had an emergency electrical need right before Thanksgiving. BEWARE!!! If I could LEAVE ZERO I would. I found this company online and reviews were good so I decided to try. I contacted a guy named carlos who through email and text seemed friendly. But then it got weird. I asked for a license number and no reply. The next day, They were supposed to show up at11 am and never showed or called. Then I HAD TO REACH out asking what happened. They blamed it on "their system being down " and apologized, gave a license number ( which bythe way doesn't belong to carlos) and rescheduled. Today was the reschedule date. I stayed home from work to get this electrical job done. At 10:10, no one has shown. I text again asking where they are. They responded with "we will be there at 11or 1130. I declined. I am so ridiculously angry that these jerks didnt have any courtesy not one but TWICE!! No real license...wow. I'll make sure to let everyone I know understand that this couple of wanna bes are a joke. Too bad Carlos didnt realize I'm a blogger with 2.1 million followers. read more

We were having electrical issues (specifically the breaker that controls the AC) for about a week in the middle of a heat wave. We had someone else fix the breakers that they thought were the issue, but still no solution! We figured our electrical panel had to get replaced because it was so dirty and over 30 years old. Sure enough, Juan came to check it out and advised us to replace the entire panel. He was able to get all the parts to complete the job the same day he quoted us. I am very pregnant so being in the heat was not an option, and he understood. It has been over a month since he completed the job and we have not had ANY issues with our power. Overall, he gave us the best pricing and completed the job that very same day. read more

I called because the reviews were good ... they can and looked at the job , I told them I needed outlets moved up to above counter , the can lights hooked back up to existing cans, and 3 switches moved to other walls due to remodel kitchen. they later send me a text with a vague estimate that said a bunch of things but not itemized. they showed up on a Monday sr and jr. they worked half a day and tried to tell me they were going to have to cut through my stucco and run a wire outside. I said no cut the drywall and I will have it fixed. they left without picking up anything. left a mess and then when they were supposed to come the next morning , jr texted he had a emergency and they would come the next day. when the came they started telling me that some things were not included in the estimate, again i told them all I needed done. first day. so in think they just wanted to make no money. the third day when they left , I was not able to look before they left I was working. but I was shocked to see that they had put a cup or more of bondo on each of the cut drywall areas. not professional at all. I was there they could have asked. butt did not. so I was lucky it was not dry so i removed it from both areas. I went to turn off my ceiling fan in dinning room ,I realized it was not there nor was the other ceiling light switch in other room. he texted to get paid , and I told him I would pay him when he put both the switches back. He told me they never had switches. i told him they did. He more or less called me a liar. Argued with me. Asked what I wanted him to do about it. I said to put them back. He was so rude(jr). So they came and put them back. Making it hard for my cabinet contractor to get his job done. When he was there he Al's was asked to move one outlet up , tried to charge me 150 more. The cabinet guy told him it was wrong and would not work he didn't care. Then they had to come back again to fix that. It was the worst experience ever. The sr. Hanged me 150 more forabout 10 inches of wire. They are scammers and don't follow through with what they say. they said price was for materials and labor. They used all my switches and never credited me for that. it was a nightmare I don't recommend them at all. feel like they totally took advantage of the fact that I was a women. Actually called my husband after I talked to he (jr) as if he was not going to listen to me. My husband told him he was on speaker and he listened to the whole thing. No receipt , nothing read more

I called J/C electric due to us having power outages and lights flickering. Juan came out and provided a free estimate, and explained the different options I had to get the repairs made. After his suggestions, we decided to go ahead and hire. Next day Juan and his team arrived, and they went strait to work. They completed the work in a short period of time( I was expecting it to take all day ) didn't leave anything behind. He and his crew were polite and professional. One thing I appreciated is he gave options on what would need to be done in order for our issues to be resolved. We did not have to do total electrical box upgrade like another company quoted me and charged me $175 to just look. I really appreciate the free estimate this company offers and the problem solving abilities of Juan. I appreciate very much when I come across honest and professional people. Happy to know you still exist Thank you very much to Juan and his crew you all are amazing professionals read more

This job was done in Pasadena. They should have provided a dedicated line to the refrigerator according to their own proposal. They charged me for a dedicated line to the refrigerator, but they bundled it up with all of hallway, one whole bedroom, all plugs. The circuit is overloaded and trips and the refrigerator shuts off. They will not answer the calls or emails. The response time 40 minutes that they promise is only if they want to get new business. They took full payment and all these problems I am finding out as time goes by, even workmanship was very poor. They are more expensive and not trustworthy at all. From Pasadena read more

The nicest and most patient gentlemen. They didn't charge my grandmother and I anything for an assessment, and were very honest about the abilities they had to fix the issue. They were incredibly prompt, prioritized our needs even when it inconvenienced their schedule, and also came back (again at no cost) after the work was done to make sure we were satisfied and had all our questions answered. Can't recommend enough. read more

I called JC Electric because he was referred by a local customer. On AUGUST 15 I left a voice mail message but received no response for 3 days. Juan C, the Owner, finally returned my call on August 18 and said that he was very busy and asked me to send pictures. He then showed up on August 21, unannounced, took more pictures, and said he would see if he could repair my pump or order a new one. He called me on August 24 to say that he had one in stock and would come over that Monday to install it. When he didn't show up I called him but received no answer. I called him again many times and he would occasionally call back saying he would be there the next day but didn't show up. This went on UNTIL NOVEMBER! Then he sent me an invoice claiming he had done a lot more work than he really did, but in fact I had contracted someone else to do the big part of the work. I don't know why I was so stupid as to let this guy keep dragging me on and on for three months, and now he's obviously trying to cheat me, but don't let that happen to you - DON'T CALL JC ELECTRIC!! read more

I was having issues with my new electric fence having any power from its solar charger. I called a few companies and JC Electric got back to me right away. Juan came by my house within 20 minutes to troubleshoot. He walked my entire field, checked my set-up, and assisted in resetting some wires that were touching. After another day of charging in the sun, my fence is now working and keeping my animals where they should be. Juan was very nice, prompt and knowledgeable about what I needed. He was even kind enough not to charge me for his time. I would definitely recommend giving this company a shot. Thanks, Juan & JC Electric! read more

I recently bought a home and I started having some issues with my A/C. After that, I started having some electrical issues (appliances not working, lights flickering, etc). I called my home warranty's electrician and he could not identify the issue and said the issue was on So Cal Edison. I've contacted Edison and they said there was an issue with the meter bracket. I did some yelp research and found JC Electric. I called them around 11 AM and they were able to come home the same day around 2 PM. JC electric came out to change a breaker for me as my AC had been tripping it during this 100+ heat. He discovered that it wasn't a bad breaker, but rather a short in my AC. Juan came out and installed an electrical outlet in the closet of my new home, the work was fast, clean and reasonable. I had to call them back out a few days later when my sockets were not working, Juan came out and showed me how to reset/test the sockets, as there was nothing wrong with the electricity. He did not charge me for that call, nor did he treat me like a idiot for not knowing how to do something so simple, instead he, graciously showed me the correct buttons to push, and even gave me a small lesson about my electrical panel. I will definitely continue to use JC Electric for any future electrical needs. read more
