I appreciated the recommendation, but I was disappointed that it increased the price by $100. I felt that option should have been discussed during the initial phone calls so I could make an informed decision before the appointment. After I posted my original review, the owner personally came back to my home to make things right. He offered to refund the $100 price difference, but I declined because I didn't feel it was fair after the work had already been completed. Instead, he replaced two breakers that genuinely needed replacement at no charge. I really respect a company that stands behind its work and makes the effort to address a customer's concerns. While I still believe the pricing options should have been explained upfront, I also believe it's important to recognize excellent customer service when a business takes responsibility and follows through. Because of how they handled the situation afterward, I'm happy to update my review and would not hesitate using them again. Thank you Sam and Robert!

Nick was the first to respond within minutes...at 8 o'clock at night! We FaceTimed him (after seeing all of his five star Yelp reviews) to show him our problem, and he gave immediate advice, which we followed. He said he would be out first thing in the morning. He was! We had to replace a few circuits that were fried and decided to do a full breaker box maintenance (to prevent this from happening again) because it probably hadn't been serviced...ever...in 25 years. Nick went far over and above expectations. He threw in upgrading a garage outlet while he was here and put in a whole house surge protector at a very discounted rate since we went with the full breaker box maintenance package. Our breaker box now looks and works like it is brand new. His work comes with a two year warranty! Nick was extremely personable and honest. I added him to my contacts because we will be contacting him with any future electrical issues. In short, there is a reason for all of the five star reviews, you will rate him with 5 stars as well when call him for service, I guarantee it!

It would have been easy to push for an expensive repair, but instead, they suggested giving a try with the builder's electrical contractors before committing to their proposed work, as the house is relatively new (3 years), though it is out of the builder's standard 1-year warranty. He even took the time to greet my children and was very warm and friendly with them. Daniel was able to determine that a faulty line/wire was causing the power issues in the bedrooms. After checking the attic, he also discovered some problematic wiring and conditions involving the subpanel. He recommended running new wiring and replacing a damaged breaker in the attic panel, which would not only fix the problem but provide a much safer setup and help prevent potential hazards like an electrical fire. The price was fair, and the work took about two hours, just as he estimated. He worked diligently the entire time without taking a break. I honestly felt bad for him being up in our attic because it had to be easily 120° up there! I offered him water throughout the job, which he graciously accepted. Before leaving, Daniel also gave me an estimate to upgrade our existing breaker box. However, now that we have been customers for years and our sales rep left, it takes multiple calls to even get through to customer service and then multiple follow up calls after since they have to email other departments to get an answer and do not call back. It seems like they are short staffed and for a big company like this should invest in more staff for customer service. That way they can provide the same experience we received in the beginning. It's been almost a month after I initially contacted them and my question still has not been answered. Seems like there is only one customer service rep and she definitely needs help.

We hired Homeland Electric to upgrade our fuse panel to a 200 amp panel. Daniel and his company were very professional and completed the job plus took care of all the city permits and inspections. His whole team, from the front office to the crew were hands down beyond fantastic. What amazed me the most was the crew member who stucco around the panel. I am a very analytical person and he match the texture seamlessly. He painted over the new stucco to blend the everything together. She was told by another electrician that she needed a whole new electric junction box at a cost of $6-8K. She told me this story so I gave her Daniel's number. On Dec. 9, 2022, I found the contractor's advertisement (free estimate) on Craigslist. I called him…read moreand texted him the address where my tenant complained the lights inside the house intermittently flickered. The lights flicked before and then they were back to normal. After checking the electrical panel, he called me and explained to me that the circuit breakers didn't function well. By replacing the circuit breakers, the issue should be solved. He offered me two options. The first option would be to replace the circuit breakers. If the issue persists after new breakers are installed, then the second option would be to replace the panel. He gave me a quote of $1300 to replace the breakers and $977.81 to replace the panel in case the new breakers don't solve the problem. The quote to replace the panel is good till 12/23/2022 so we have 2 weeks to monitor the new breakers to see if they work. To replace the breakers, he was willing to do the job for $1186.45 if I could pay by cash or Zelle so he could avoid tax. I asked him to provide a detailed estimate breakdown of replacing circuit breakers and he refused to give me one and told me he would send it over only after the payment is received. He kept telling me and my tenant the fire hazard is imminent. Feeling the pressure from him, I agreed for him to replace the circuit breakers on the condition that only if his quote is in line with market rate. About 30 mins later, he texted me that the job was completed and the issue is solved. He demanded the payment sent to his number by Zelle. I asked again for the breakdown and he said he will send me later that evening. After numerous text message requests, he finally send me an invoice that night. He asked me to sign that invoice otherwise the quote to replace the panel will not be valid. He never gave me any detailed quote for circuit breakers replacement. Next morning, I did some research online and find out the materials cost for circuit breakers is about $200. He charged me almost $1200 to replace them. I questioned him about the charge and he finally gave me the breakdown that the cost of breakers is $204. Since then, I have obtained 2 verbal and one written estimate to replace these 8 circuit breakers. The average cost is between $450 and $500. His charge is far well above the market rate . It is a breach of verbal contract. He took advantage of the situation and it is a rip-off and price gouging. The contractor conducted illegal activity by defrauding and deceiving the homeowner. Stay away from him. A complaint was filed with contractor license board. The violation has been posted on the contractor license board's website. Brandon and his assistant, Cole did an amazing electrical upgrade on our home, which included the following: - Main Electrical Panel Upgrade - Added Ceiling Fans to Bedrooms, Living Room and Breezeway - Added Dusk-to-Dawn Outdoor Lighting to Garage/Driveway, Front Porch, Breezeway, Side Yard, Back Yard and Back Door/Pool Side - Added Recepticals/Outlets some with USB Charging Slots in the Kitchen, Breezeway, Living Room and Garage. - Added a Light Fixture and Switch to the Guest Hallway - Added a New Garage Door Opener The magnificent change in and out of our home has made such a huge impact on us, that it is strongly felt and seen throughout our entire home and property. Our outdoor living space is brighter, it gives us that secured feeling during the evenings, it's cost effective/energy saving and and it feels cool with the outdoor ceiling fan during the hot California weather. Our indoor living space feels so much cooler with the ceiling fans in each of the bedrooms and living room. Looking forward to not always having to run the central AC in order to keep the house cool during the hot summer days. The added light fixture and switch in the guest hallway is an excellent added touch, as there was no lighting installed when we first purchased the house. Also, the dedicated circuits to the microwave and one for the fridge has completely stopped the breaker from tripping. The owner, Brandon is an easy person to get along with, carries himself professionally and is a straight shooter in a tactful manner. He makes sure his work meets the expected standard codes of today. His quality workmanship and craftsmanship is superior. He cleans up after any mess made, which is a plus. Brandon can definitely get a lot of work done in a days work. He has so many years of experience and knows what he's doing. His pricing is competitive and lower than what most large corporate companies would charge. My Husband & I plan to utilize CES's services in the near future for further electrical upgrades done onto our home. We plan to refer his business to my Husband's business colleagues that are homeowners, as well. Also, we encourage anyone and everyone to hire CES as your one-stop-shop for any type of electrical needs/upgrades done to your home and/or place of business. When we first moved to our house, we had an issue with our other side of the house not having electricity whenever it rained and hired 2 five star rated electricians on yelp and they were able to fix the problem and problem would come up again when it started raining. Those 2 electricians we hired were a waste of time and money as they didn't troubleshoot well like First Tri Electric. I called First Tri Electric and the owner Ney sent his employee to check it out. He did some troubleshooting that the other 2 electricians I hired before didn't do. It turns out my wires were getting wet inside since my pipes weren't water proof. Ney's employee took everything apart and rewired everything and BOOM everything was working perfectly even during the rain. I hired Ney on another big project at my house to upgrade my panel to a 200 AMP and this turned out smooth swell. No problems at all and I have my AC on all day and charge my EV at night. Look no further for another electrician, these guys are all you need. Their pricing is well priced compared to the others aswell! They also installed my Chargepoint and Tesla charger. These guys get the job done!
