First time and I wish I was a local!!! This place was recommended by the staff in our hotel and we are so glad it was. The food was amazing and so was the service and the reasonable prices made us swoon! We loved the ambiance: light, clean and fun.

Came for a Saturday brunch and we were seated promptly! Cute space for a get together or date - service was great as well. I ordered the french toast (which I've never had before) so I can't compare to others but it was delicious! Great portion as well, I left satisfied but not dreading the fact that I would be walking around downtown afterwards. I also got the ginger beer since I don't really drink and it was refreshing!

very cute atmosphere. good music. we sat down and the waiter didn't even ask for our drink order until we were ordering our food, usually you ask before they order food. my freind asked for the ceasar salad and she just blatantly said that they're all out of that. the food was very good 8.5/10. the people were just kind of rude

I found this place from google maps. I wanted a chicken sandwich, and they have one . It was so good ! It hit the spot with honey and bbq sauce. The pace is know for the Moscow Mule. I had mint julep. With a upscale look you know you're in for something good . It has an inviting pleasant atmosphere. Casual dress attire. We were greeted with good old southern hospitality . The owner took time and showed us local vodka , and bourbon. He was friendly

I I ordered takeout from Rarebit after seeing some good reviews. I got the chicken club with fries, and it arrived quickly. The restaurant was also kind enough to add ketchup to my order. The sandwich itself was just okay--there was too much bread, and the chicken breast got a bit lost in all of it. The fries were good, though--they were softer by the time they arrived, but still tasty. I might try something different next time.

Attended the Don Luchi Brunch. Loved the ambiance of the restaurant! Food was amazing with a nice variety on the menu. The waitstaff and bartenders were very friendly and accommodating.

Stopped by midday and sat at the bar. It had a great diner vibe to it but also a gave up a nicer vibe. I bet the cocktails would be great there after work. Bartender was kind enough to ask the kitchen staff if they were able to make me the Chicken Fried Steak since I was like 30ish minutes away from when it was available so kudos to both for accommodating the request. The green beats were great and cooked well with a soft texture inside but left a crunch when you bit down on it. Wish there was more flavor to it, but a dash of salt did the trick. The chicken fried steak itself was great. Still had a good enough crunch when you bit down on the chicken. This is probably more preference, but I like my gravy to be more smooth and creamy. The gravy here had a grainy/sandy texture to it. The seasoning was great, just wished it was a smoother texture.

I wrapped up a night on King Street at the bar here. They offer a late-night breakfast menu, which was appealing, but my friend and I opted for just drinks. Our bartender was friendly, as were other patrons. I had the mule, and my friend had the gin and tonic. Both were good and well-made. Prices were reasonable, the bar seats were comfortable, and the vibe was chill, unlike some other spots in the area.

This is such a great find on king street! The food & drinks are delicious and affordable and the vibes were relaxed yet upscale. I came here on a Saturday night for dinner and sat at the bar where they serve a full menu. I had the Moscow mule for a cocktail and it was probably the best Moscow mule I have ever had! It's their speciality cocktail which they have on tap so I'd highly recommend ordering it. For food I had the fried chicken sandwich served with honey which was so delicious. I also shared a side of Parmesan fries that were great as well. Service was friendly and efficient throughout the meal. I'd overall recommend stopping by here if you're looking for a nice yet affordable place to eat and drink.

We ventured downtown for a full day of shopping. By 1 pm, I was fading quickly and needed a pick me up. We found ourselves in The Rarebit. This looks like a perfect place for a cocktail and I'd love to have one on a future visit. For this busy day, we stuck to water to rehydrate. Inside, it feels cozy and elegant, sort of that vintage cocktail bar feel with brass, rich colors and velvet draperies. The service was so friendly and prompt, without feeling rushed. I found the prices to be quite reasonable, especially on the sandwiches. The portion sizes were good, too--filling without being too large. I had the shrimp po boy with fries and my spouse had the grilled chicken club with mac and cheese. We both declared the fries to be the superior side, but I'm glad we tried the mac and cheese. It is good, but we liked the fries better. The shrimp po boy was great--very nicely balanced with the right amount of each topping. The shrimp was flavorful and crispy, without being too greasy. The sandwich stayed together nicely, which is a real achievement. I'm already looking forward to what we'll try on our next visit.

Who knew Moscow mules could be so unique and special! The rarebit is one of the funkiest spots in downtown Charleston and it's always a must stop when we visit! They specialize in Moscow mules (they have them on draft) and make their own ginger beer and ingredients. Each of these things makes their mules sooooo delicious! During happy hour you can snag one of these mules for $7! Today I got their seasonal mule which was a mix of their original laced with rose! I COULD HAVE DRANK 10, they were so amazing!

The bartender, the food, the drinks, the relaxed atmosphere, this place is beautiful for a date. Whether you want some cocktails or even some late night chicken and waffles, this place is perfect for a laid back night downtown. The husband and I love coming here.

Cool restaurant off of King street, with diner type vibes. I ordered the patty melt sandwich, which was a great choice.

It felt cozy without being stuffy and was a great spot for people-watching. The cocktails were well made and balanced, and we got lucky enough to snag a table. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was intimate, beautiful, and the perfect setting for a relaxed Saturday night cap. What made the experience truly special was the bartender. There's no traditional menu, instead, he takes the time to learn what you like and crafts drinks based on your taste. I've never experienced anything like that before. The level of knowledge and creativity behind the bar was incredible. Every drink he made was stunning and tasted even better than it looked. I was honestly so impressed that I couldn't even remember all the ingredients he mentioned because I was too busy being amazed at how good everything was. It was one of those moments where you realize there are real levels to this craft. I walked in thinking I knew a thing or two about mixing drinks at home, and left with a whole new respect for the art of it. The atmosphere, the personal attention, and the quality of the cocktails made this place feel truly top tier. Huge shoutout to the bartender, easily a 15 out of 10. Cool, knowledgeable, and passionate about what he does. If you're looking for an intimate spot for date night or just want to experience thoughtfully crafted cocktails in a beautiful setting, the Annex is the place. I will absolutely be back as soon as possible.

I don't know why but that was such a great little extra touch.. However, the place is narrow and crowded. Ironically the bathrooms were super large and spacious though. I'd come back for lunch perhaps because the food truly is delicious, when hopefully not as crowded instead of an evening experience here personally... Ps. The server who had just moved from Chicago was amazing! I wish I could remember her name. Super friendly, helpful w the menu and sharing about downtown Charleston. The interior is very elegant and bathed in low lighting with soft music playing while you dine. It's a little small so make sure you make those reservations! We started with cocktails, and I ordered the Jean De Florette with vodka, lillet rose, fig syrup, passion fruit, lime, crushed ice, and a fleur garnish. The fig syrup was the star providing a nice sweet and earthy flavor. My wife enjoyed the Harvest in Provence with charred corn mezcal, see the elephant amaro, bonal, lime, simple syrup, and a spiced corn garnish. This drink is so smokey but very refreshing. We were brought a complimentary hors derv which was a house made potato chip with tuna and spices. Really great for getting your palette ready for the coming meal. They only do this from 5pm to 6pm. We have had our eyes on the Raclette Burger Slider for some time. The burger was a good-sized slider, about the same size as a single cheeseburger with tons of ooey gooey raclette cheese smothering it. Of course, we had to order the Pommes Frites to go with the sliders and they arrived super crispy with a nice rosemary-lemon aioli for dipping. The grand finale was the Boeuf En Croute which was their play on a beef wellington. The filet was a nice medium rare with a flaky pastry crust and a delicious sauce bordelaise. A great way to finished. With its beautiful decor, great service and good food I would highly recommend this place for any date night!
