I am so sad to see so many mediocre or bad reviews, since we had an amazing meal! As many have said due to COVID and NV state regulations of only having 25% capacity, you have to have a reservation. Although we had to wait until 8:45pm for our table, it was worth the wait! We had the wedge salad to start, and then just did a variety of apps and sides for our meal. I highly recommend the crab cakes and lobster macaroni- they were our top favorites! We also enjoyed the grilled asparagus and shrimp cocktail. The staff was all great and good service! If I could leave 0 starts I would, I came to Laughlin with my wife for our anniversary, I made a reservation a month ago for this place. On the day of I called to confirm my reservation and they said I was all set for dinner that night. Upon arrival mgmt decided to close due to lack of reservations... No call no nothing from the restaurant... I guess I am the lack of reservations. I would like to say thank you to the staff that saw my frustration, got me and my wife into the Mexican food place and treated us so well! We went to dinner here last week and were super excited. After all the hyp, we left disappointed and still hungry because we ended up hardly touching our food. We ordered the oysters Rockefeller- Unless you like eating giant pieces of Rock Salts- stay away from this. They serve it with the shells sitting on the salt. When it bakes and overflows, the rock salt ends up in the food. I ended up spitting it out. When we told the server assistant, his response was "fill out a comment card, we've gotten complaints on this before." Seriously? I also ordered the crab stuffed halibut. It was dried out and rubbery. The stuffing was good so that was all I ate. For a $44 dish, I expected more. All the steaks looked good, one person said his was cooked medium, not medium rare though. Also, another rare opportunity I had was to enjoy the Tuna Tartare. What I learned from this experience is to never discredit a place just because it's a steakhouse and you aren't a carnivore. We ordered the crab cakes for an appetizer and stuffed halibut for our meal and it was AMAZING! The perfect mix of flavors tickled my taste buds as I chewed every bite slowly enjoying it as long as I could. The creamy mushroom orzo pasta was better than any Mac & cheese I've ever eaten and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. Don't let me forget to mention how attentive and accommodating our waiter, Cole was. We really were pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. We had our Diamond celebration dinner here. The restaurant itself is very nice, and the view of the river was awesome. The staff was very polite and attentive. However, the food is another matter. My husband had the prime rib which was delicious. I had the ribeye. It was tough and dry, which you don't normally get when you order medium rare. The side dishes were good and big proportions. Absolutely disappointed... YES, we did not have a reservation however, the hostess did say they were waiting for a party of 10 who were late already for their 5 PM reservation. They said if they do not arrive by 5:15 PM their reservation cancels automatically. It was 5:18PM and the hostess said we could have the table and they will seat us in a moment. As we were waiting to be seated the party with the reservation arrived 25 minutes late but they still honored their reservation and were seated. Then, the hostess told us they were sorry we could not have the table anymore as the party arrived. We told her what she had told us previously we can have the table if the party did not arrive at 5:15 PM. She stated that there was nothing she could do and was sorry. Dear Restaurant Manager, please get your stories straight and if a reservation does not arrive on time or within the grace period. You should be firm with your policy and have your guests respect it. Let me start by saying that the food was AMAZING! The Lobster Macaroni and Cheese was fabulous!!!!!! My husband had a steak, he said it was super tender and delicious. We had an order of crab cakes they were delicious as well. The manager found out it was my husband's birthday and brought him a drink! I thought that was an awesome gesture!! Especially after all of our other sour experiences.
