BEWARE OF BUGS! The patio has a great view but unfortunately laughlin has those pesky little water flies, so beware of that if you sit on the deck after 7pm you will have to move. I brought my Mom here for her 90th birthday. I am such a bad son, as I failed to mention it was her birthday. Apparently they make a big deal out of birthdays here. Anyway, the vibe here is amazing! I love that they have Forrest Gump on a loop on some of the TVs while you eat. The night we came didn't have many people here, but you wouldn't know it by how the staff treated us. They were all very attentive and super polite! I am allergic to shellfish, so I ordered the Texas Chicken Sandwich while my Mom got Mama Blue's Fried Shrimp. I get full fast these days, but inhaled that entire sandwich because it was so good! And my Mom absolutely loved the shrimp. She asked why we don't have restaurants this good in Vegas! lol! I was here on a five day trip and decided to eat here on day 3. I had the chicken tenders as the appetizer and the Cajun Crab Boil. The food was absolutely delicious. So I stopped in for their Happy Hour, which is actually a pretty good deal. There are several bar appetizers on the menu and a special on beer and certain drinks. I opted for the queso dip, and the popcorn shrimp. The bartender was friendly enough and service was fine. The queso dip was incredibly salty but the portion was way more than I expected for the price. But damn it was salty, and it became kind of cloying after a while, just too rich and salty. The PCS was ok but it was also salty as hell. But again the portion size was much larger than I was expecting. It also had some deep fried hot and sweet peppers in the dish as well. My blood pressure probably went up 20 points eating these dishes. But I'd probably do it again with the PCS, but doubt I would get the queso dip again. The atmosphere is nice, the bar area is a good place to have a beer or two, so overall I guess I'd recommend it if you're already in the area. read more

It's less crowded, quieter and offer a great view of the river. Their misters help to keep it cool. Hostess and waitress were very polite. Jill was very helpful with menu options. My fish and chips were perfectly cooked and the small potion was perfect size for a light dinner. They do offer small or large size. If you enjoy seafood, give them a try. read more

We were passing through Laughlin on a road trip and decided to stop for a meal and to enjoy a view of the river. This was a nice break in our drive and we enjoyed sitting on the covered patio very much. I suggest sitting where the patio is covered and not on the extreme edge which is not covered and the birds can have access to harass you your whole meal long. Real fun space with fire pits and views of the river in every direction. Food was good, I enjoyed my fried fish fest more than I expected and my mom sure enjoyed her grilled salmon. Took a LONG WALK down the street to get to this place from our hotel. Why? We'll everything I was in Times Square I thought about going in but my deli radar won out. So we show to all the Forest Gump stuff in their little store. Started with a shrimp cocktail. Shrimp were GINORMOUS and fresh, no freezer after taste The main course were shrimp butterflies and stuffed with crab and cheese. This was great to a new level. Nothing beats a beautiful day with tables available with a gorgeous view of the lake. The seating area outside offers just that as long as the weather cooperates. Today it did! Love this outdoor seating area. We arrived shortly before noon and the place was pretty much empty. We were seated right away with the perfect view. Server was prompt with taking our order. However, we were missing service items and it was a little tough getting what we needed delivered to us. Other than that, things were good. Fish and chips were delicious! We had a reservation and were seated right away, which was a good start. We ordered immediately, but then waited over an hour before our food came out. Strangely, a large party of more than 10 people who sat down after us received their food before we did. When our food finally arrived, it was barely warm. My husband's dish was actually cold. To their credit, the staff replaced it within five minutes as promised, but even the replacement wasn't hot -- just "warm enough." For the prices here, that shouldn't be acceptable. Ambiance-wise, it's nice. The location by the water makes for a good atmosphere, but honestly, the food didn't live up to the setting. My coconut shrimp was overcooked to the point that the coconut flavor was lost. On top of that, service was lackluster. At other Bubba Gumps I've been to, the servers explain the "Run Forrest Run / Stop Forrest Stop" signs and ask if it's your first visit. None of that here. No warmth, no extra effort -- just average at best. Overall, I left feeling that this location is overrated. You're clearly paying for the experience and the view, not the food. This was my first time at Bubba Gump Shrimp, and overall it was a great experience! The staff was friendly, and they were able to seat our party of 13 just 20 minutes after we checked in at their opening time of 12:00 PM--pretty impressive for a large group. The interior was clean and comfortably cool. They also have a patio right on the river with cozy fireplaces you can sit around, which added a nice touch to the atmosphere. The food was a little on the pricey side, especially the seafood, but still within reason for the location and setting. Our waitress was fantastic--super friendly and incredibly attentive. She checked in with us often, kept our waters full, and really made sure our group was taken care of. Amazing service all around! I ordered the All-American Cheeseburger (BBQ style) and added fried pickles. It was pretty good! The chipotle mayo was the standout for me--it made a perfect dipping sauce for both the burger and the fries. Overall, Bubba Gump Shrimp has a good atmosphere, friendly staff, and a surprisingly wide variety of food options--even if seafood isn't your thing. Worth a visit! The only thing I'd change? We ordered the Shrimp New Orleans, Jambalaya, and Mac n Cheese. Both entrees were a 1 out of 5. I chose the Shrimp New Orleans because the description said it came with a spicy sauce, but there was nothing spicy or enjoyable about it. I only ate the shrimp to avoid being wasteful. My partner ordered the Jambalaya, and it was probably the worst we have ever had. It had little to no flavor. The Mac n Cheese was okay, but it is hard to mess that up. Somehow, they almost did.
