I took my husband and two friends out with my comp dollars. I ordered the ribs and shrimp. The ribs were dry and cold like have been sitting in the kitchen since last night. I returned them and ordered the captains fish and shrimp. This dish was hot, but the main course fish was long and the fish was very thin inside mostly batter. The shrimp were good. The waitress was not really friendly. She asked if I wanted fries or the mashed potatoes that I had ordered for the first dish. She didn't bother getting me fresh mashed potatoes. I ate them cold with the fish. My friend also got the no fish inside the batter dish. My husband got the stuffed shrimp. They were also lukewarm, but good. My other friend got the Mahi and shrimp. The Mahi was good, but on the small and on the thin side. All the meals were lackluster and sad. The prices sure are high, and the quality has gone down. read more

Golden Nugget has a few restaurants and we seem to visit Bubba Gump's often. The location on the lower level is convenient with the river walk. The decor/ ambience is fun. A nightmare for vegans. Nobody in the whole town of Laughlin knows what a vegan is or what plant based cuisine is. That's for starters. This utterly ridiculous Bubba Gump menu not only doesn't say the word "vegan" anywhere (surprise, surprise!) but the "steamed rice" comes with butter in it----no mention of that on the menu. The "steamed broccoli" comes dripping in butter and a strange parmesan sauce. Again no mention of this on the menu. And no, the chef will NOT be able to steam a new batch of broccoli for you in just water-----we asked. So everything is being sent back. We HATE this. We HATE having to work so f-ing hard to order something. The waitress was cute and nice! She had a full one week's experience working here----had never heard of vegans and was nice enough to run back and forth to ask the chef a bunch of questions. You know what we ended up with for our dinner? *drumroll* One small piece of corn each----like half a cob. I guess there's a small instant before they slather their Bubba corn in disgusting stuff, where it's actually just steamed. What a f-ing horror story. Of course in Los Angeles and New York and many other major cities, and even some minor ones, you don't have to be tortured by sadistic restaurants like this one anymore. There will be some nice vegan offerings right there on the menu and you can just order them. read more

We've been here a handful of times. Service is hit or miss. Food is hit or miss. Speed of food is hit or miss. I'd say we've had great service more than half the time, decent some and poor once. It was rough when we first started visiting the area a few years ago but has gotten better in time, or maybe it was a good weekend, I'll never know. But, my husband and loves Forrest gump so we come every time were in town. The entire atmosphere is set to the movie. Food is a little more than what it's worth, but you're laying for the whole experience and it's a touristy area so to be expected. I will say, though, this is definitely one of the best restaurants of the casinos. I've eaten at most of them. read more

I visit Bullhead three times a year and I always stop in at Bubbas each time I do. The service is always phenomenal and the food is delicious. I've never had to ask for more napkins, silverware or had an empty condiment on the table. You can sit outside on the river and take in the amazing scenery which is a bonus. The managers often visit your tables to make sure everything is well and you're taken care of. Dakota always has a smile, is down to earth and you can tell she takes immense pride in her job, the employees and the restaurant in general. While I've had several different servers and even bartenders , they all do a great job and Dakota always seems to be there keeping it running above standards! read more
