The biscuits and gravy... they've ruined it for me... now I can't eat them anywhere else bc nothing compares to this biscuit gravy. It's so good.... I stop in for the 1/2 biscuits and 1/2 order hash browns smothered in gravy. The Bloody Marys are excellent n make it a double for a dollar is a great deal! D'place is my go to when in town. I've gone there for many years and always had a great Chicken Fried Steak breakfast, ( really it's a Country Fried Steak ). We went in this A.M. on 6-17-26. Two tables had two customers each. One table waited way to long for a check to leave. Although friendly our busser and server were nice. "They" seemed overwhelmed. We asked three times for coffee which should hit the table first thing for most breakfast customers. A large group followed our seating and the server was late with menus and setups. Obviously the place was struggling and disorganized. Where was the owner ? Being skeptical since a sign on the front door advertised for an experienced cook. We decided to pass on the CFS. She ordered hash, eggs, and B& Gravy. I went with half order of B&G and a Short Stack (2) cakes. Here it goes, pancakes were under cooked and actually had a bitter taste like sour milk was used. My guest tasted them and totally agreed. Biscuits were hard, a And the gravy was cold, and griddy as though the mixture was inadequately stirred or mixed. The hash was good, but something like papricka or chili powder was added. Fine for us but likely would be to spicy for most since corned beef hash is not supposed to be hot. The check total was $40.11. $8 for a short stack, $8 for 1/2 order B&G. D'place was good and we would tolerate the old smoking allowed in the closed in dinning room ! This location has a huge problem with the hostess station especially on weekends. We often wait more than 10-15 minutes to be greeted because it appears that random waitresses or waiters staff the hostess station very sporadically. Today we waited 10 minutes only to be told that their power went out and they had no idea if they could seat us. Thanks for wasting our valuable time! Based on service and food quality I would give this place 5 stars but the seating situation is just atrocious. read more

Our "go to" place. The service here is wonderful ! The food is delicious and the pricing is spot on. When we go to breakfast, we go to Ds place. AND they have Mickey Mouse pancakes for the kids !! Definitely looks like a dive bar from the outside, but inside it has a treasure trove of cinema memorabilia... The staff seem to not care who's table is who's as everyone was on top of making sure we were served promptly and had full glasses... We had a small hickup as my wife's order got lost, but once it was realized they brought it right out and even comped her order... With how friendly and helpful everyone is we are positive this was just one of those odd and rare mistakes... The food... I have honestly never had better eggs in my life... Had breakfast Saturday was excellent as usual food arrived hot and delicious. I've been coming here since the early 70's.

When you first walk in, you can go to the left and find a tiny little bar that seemed popular. The dining area was to the right and back farther. The theme is really cool with posters of old movie stars and Route 66 booths. It is so loud in there, even on the dining side. At times too loud to hear our own table. I forgot to take more pictures before we ate, but the food was good. The sausage and cheddar omelette was excellent. Bacon and cheddar omelette was tasty but seemed less cheesy. Pancakes and hash browns were nothing special. The water was not good at all. I was going to order coffee, but it was $3.25. The waitress was very nice. The sausage and cheese omelette was almost good enough to bring us back, but we will probably find another place that has more of what we are looking for next time. read more

We love this place. It's a small little place and it has a cocktail lounge also. Whenever we're at our house in bullhead, Arizona. We always make sure we have breakfast here. They're only open until I believe 2 o'clock so it's breakfast and lunch. But it looks like it's family owned and operated. And everybody is lovely. The coffee is very good, and so is the food. Everytime I pass D'Cafe it was always packed so I had to stop and try it. The service was good but the good didn't taste that great. There was a bar which caught be by surprise for it being just a cafe which was pretty nice. I doubt I will be back though, I have had better breakfast from other cafes. read more

this place is always busy, really good food if you need to stop by and have some brunch. the food is breakfast and lunch till 2 pm and they are busy so be prepared to wait a bit, but it's worth it. I visited the restaurant on Saturday morning. I was greeted quickly and seated. The restaurant was fairly busy. I received my coffee and an ice water very fast. The coffee they use is excellent. It has a nice strong rich flavor. My waitress was outstanding along with some of the other staff who continually came by and asked if I needed anything. As you can see by the picture one of the eggs was a little bit off as I ordered three of them over easy. But to be fair I'm being a little picky on that. The hash browns could have been cooked quite a bit more they were barely crunchy. I don't like them dry or well done but they were a little soft. The wheat toast was great and again my service was outstanding. They have a great parking lot easy in and out. I will definitely come back and if I were to order the hash browns again I will ask them to be cooked a little more. read more

Open Sunday morning for breakfast. Decent menu with normal breakfast fare. Our party: Biscuits & gravy, it was ok, sausage gravy could have had more sausage. Plateful with 3 biscuits. Ham & cheese omelette was good. No sugar free syrup for the pancakes. 4x4: Good with a larger than normal sausage link. I created a healthier meal. Mushroom & cheese omelette, minus the cheese and added bacon. I was able to substitute sliced tomatoes for the potato option. An English muffin without butter completed my breakfast. It was all good. We were staying at Avi across the river for a few days so we decided to come here based off of location and high yelp ratings. It's a hole in the wall place with a ton of character. They had a wait on a Sunday morning but we only waited about 7 minutes. Service was a 5...food was a 2....so I am giving a rating of 3. My husband's biscuits and gravy were cold and appeared to be microwaved. His eggs were runny and the cheese in the omelet was sandwich sliced cheese. They did apologize and offer a new meal to him.My avocado omelette was decent and my 2 year old ate her entire pancake. Every employee that we encountered there was very friendly and working hard so like I said they provided amazing service which was a definitely a 5.
