After unsuccessfully trying to place a reservation in multiple venues, Diane and I started our 2026 Cinco de Mayo quest from our Laughlin home headed to Oriol's in Bullhead City, Arizona. Then we noted that the restaurant was within 30 minutes of closing. So, we quickly diverted to El Charro in Bullhead City, only to learn that it, too, was about to close. So, I turned around and headed here, even though OpenTable reported that no time slots were available. I dropped Diane off before parking, and she easily scored a table here. In fact, hardly anyone was seated inside the restaurant, and it did not seem like a festive Mexican holiday at all. The Tuesday Night Menu was very limited, but I selected very tasty and smooth Stone Guacamole not prepared tableside but including tomatoes, White Onion, and jalapenos, to go with house-prepared salsa and spiced up Tortilla Chips. By request Diane received a complimentary basket of non-spicy Tortilla Chips, as well as a Kids Cheese Quesadilla. Somehow this filled her up. I, on the other hand, ordered a Southwest Beef Burrito with added beans inside, and Roja Sauce and Queso on top. The burro was large, but I finished it, along with more beans, and included rice. Everything tasted good and washed down well with Diet Pepsi. Service by Brett was very good, and at least the decor of the restaurant had the festive feel of Old Mexico, in this instance without the camaraderie of fellow celebrants. read more

really thought this would be an exciting eating adventure. Given the name Guy Fieris.... There was a 30 minute at 6:30pm Which is so irritating when there are so many empty tables. We had a group of 6 and seated at the rear of the restaurant. The margaritas great! The food menu is not impressive. Ordinary Mexican dishes. Some made with flavorless ground beef, which was disappointing. Although the plates were presented "hot plate", the food was luke warm. That the consensus around the table, once the temp of the food was brought up. Super disappointed If you're just wanting Mexican food, then it's run of the mill. Besides the servers pushing alcohol on you every time they walked by, the steak fajitas were served as grey meat with no seasoning at all. The carne asada chimichanga was very dry The fried ice cream was soggy, the 'infused' sauces tasted like straight alcohol. read more

Pretty disappointed with the churros. Not really a churro for me. The consistency was off. It's more of a donut shaped like mini churros. The dipping sauces were just okay too. Wonderful experience from start to finish. Host greeted us and Westberry, what company. Then the busboy brought us chips, salsa and water immediately. I will hide the lead and start off and get right to the point. This is the best guacamole I've ever had. I highly recommend it. My husband who is not a big fan of guacamole in general absolutely loved it. I had the short rib enchilada which was delicious. He enjoyed his burrito. They do not have refried beans and have very limited vegetarian options. The food was OK and a little bit greasy. The queso was pretty tasty and their chips and salsa were pretty standard. Me and my two sisters arrived and got in line before they opened. Please know - they sit people with reservations first. The restaurant looked nice. Chips seemed bought, not made in house. The salsa was quite spicy for a house salsa. I ordered the carne asada tacos and the meat was cold - I don't think they warmed up the food long enough before opening. My sisters pork tacos were cold two. I did not eat my tacos. I made the server aware and she apologized. The server asked us if we wanted the fried ice cream, we thought it was complimentary because of the cold tacos, but it was not complimentary. I think the restaurant could have made up for the cold tacos with a complimentary dessert. Nope! Apparently cold tacos is ok with them. I would not go back. read more

So I finally decided to try this place out, I was greeted at the door and asked to sit at the bar which was completely empty at the time. Not long after I sat down a very pleasant woman brought me a huge basket of warm chips and two bowls of salsa. The chips were fresh and dusted with a chili lime salt, and the salsa was delicious. I ordered the build your own platter and a tall beer. The food came out ridiculously quickly which is usually a bad sign. My platter consisted of a red chili pork enchilada, a fish taco, and a so called Al pastor quesadilla. It also came with ranchero beans and rice, both of which were quite good. The enchilada was ok, but barely Luke warm, the quesadilla was an absolute joke, it was a small tortilla with some cheap yellow cheese and very dry al pastor, folded like a taco. The fish taco was so disappointing, the breading was soggy, and the fish was mushy not flaky. Overall the meal was a bit disappointing, but service was very good and the staff were very friendly. But I can't recommend this place for anything other than a beer or two and the complimentary chips and salsa. read more

One person ordered a beer and they don't have IPA. Another order we placed concerning a specialty type of beans and they didn't have that either. They provided plenty of chips and salsa which as tasty. Once I got my tostada, I noticed the carne asada was cold. I asked the waitress if this is the way the dish is prepared? This place is inside Harrahs. Nothing fancy, just the typical casual Mexican fair with an American twist. (We call it Tex-Mex, but I have no idea what its called in this area of the US) We walked up and were asked of we had a reservation. I recommended you make a reservation. We said no and were offered a small table or seat at the bar. We opted for the bar and thus begun our experience. We enjoyed some great service and margaritas from the bartenders. The bar was clean, and we got the obligatory chips and salsa. The hunger level wasn't high so we were looking for small dishes/appetizers. He really just wanted 1 taco but we were told they don't serve "a la carte" items. So he opted for the appetizer quesadilla. I'm told the sauce that comes with it is "amazing". I had the ceviche, which is a twist on a traditional ceviche. Good, not great/amazing, but satisfied the hunger level. The price is on point for the area and what you get. Excellent service from the greeter to the chip lady and our server! Cute restaurant and comfortable. The music not too loud. The chips and salsa rocked! And we got more salsa and did not have to pay for it. They allowed us to split a meal without an up-charge as well. My only issue is the high price for the amount of food you get. The burrito was a decent size with decent amount of meat but the rice and beans were miniscule amounts. HOWEVER, those pinto beans were AMAZING! I have never had any beans with that hint of what tasted like nutmeg? At first I was like, "What???" but after a couple bites I loved them! Too bad I only got a few bites.
