I believe this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Laughlin. We had an amazing experience and our server was super engaging and took very good care of all of our requests. Although I can't remember his name, I know he was a huge Star Wars fan. The chips and salsa were delicious. The chips were freshly made and the salsa was also very fresh. The salsa had a little spice but wasn't too spicy. I wasn't super hungry so I just had a taco. The tortilla was freshly fried and very crispy. My husband had the enchilada plates which was also very good. The ingredients were of good quality and the flavor had a slight new Mexican taste. We love the ambience in this restaurant. It was very festive and you could tell they took pride in the decor. Was like we were transported into a wonderful fiesta! If we ever go back to Laughlin, this will be our number one restaurant to visit.

Wow from the moment we walked in everyone was friendly. Service was quick top notch. Milton at the bar was super quick and Deb with the chips and salsa. The ambiance is pretty the colors are beautiful. We watched the soccer game here they accommodated us and turned the TV up for us.

Good food and drinks plus free chips and salsa! Can't go wrong here if you're in the mood for a strong marg. Our service was fast and pleasant, the vibe is chill like an old style Mexican restaurant but brought to the modern age. They used to give free bean dip with your chips but it is now $1.50 add on but the beans are really good I do recommend them.

I went to Casa Serrano inside the Don Laughlin casino in Laughlin, Nevada, and overall it was okay. The food was pretty basic not bad, but not really good either, if that makes sense. It didn't really stand out or feel like memorable meal. What really made the experience better though was the staff. The server and employees were amazing super friendly, attentive, and welcoming to our big loud Mexican family lol so over all the service definitely make up for the food. The view was really nice, and I loved the decor. It was cute, bright, and had a lively vibe. It wasn't busy at all when I went, but I'm sure it probably gets packed during the summer since it's in Laughlin. I'd say it's a decent spot for the atmosphere and service.

This is the worst Mexican restaurant I have tried in years. We are from San Diego which has many fine Mexican restaurants and there are a lot more just south of us in Tijuana, but Cafe Serrano was truly a memorable bad experience, the worst restaurant of any kind we have experienced in Laughlin or Bullhead City. The waiter kept forgetting about us, forgetting straws, sauce, and dressing. The frijoles refritos tasted like salt. The carne asada I had with my verde salad tasted like it was made from the hide of a horse headed to the glue factory. It was overpriced as well. Avoid Cafe Serrano, perhaps the only bad food establishment at the Riverside Resort.

It's been awhile since I ate so thought I would see if any improvements have been implemented. Unfortunately, NO! Hostess was at the front desk when I arrived, but on the phone. I know she saw me since we were facing each other. I waited a couple of min for her to complete her call, when it became apparent that was not going to happen anytime soon I started drumming my fingers on the counter and tried to flag down a waiter, waitress or bar tender. That is when she handed me a menu and gestured toward some tables. I took the menu then sat at a table where I could observe her to see how long she was going to remain on the phone. My waitress, Nicole greeted me soon after I sat down and took my drink order. My drink was delivered fairly quickly and my meal order was taken. I had to ask for the "complimentary" chips and salsa. Y entre was delivered in a timely manner. Rice and beans cold, meat and zucchini over cooked to the point of onions and some of the meat burned. Still eatable otherwise I would have sent it back. The best part of this visit was Nicole. Very friendly and checked on me multiple times. Hostess was on the phone during my whole visit and treated other customers much the same way she treated me. Needless to say it will be awhile before I return.

Wonderful Mexican Restaurant in Laughlin. The food is reasonably priced and delicious. The restaurant decor is done in bright, cheerful colors. We shared a sizzling fajita, and had plenty of food. Service was good as well.

As far as I am concerned, this is the best Mexican food on either side of the Colorado. Starting with the freshly made corn and flour tortillas (I usually eat flour tortillas, but at El Charro, I will choose corn tortillas 99.9% of the time.) The chips are terrific with two salsas brought to the table. The Choriqueso is a cheesy deliciousness. I am not really a pozole fan, but here, it is very good and really has an awesome taste. I always get their menudo. Lots of honey comb and a good ratio of corn to meat. For me, the fact that I can get pata is great because it is becoming harder to find many restaurants that will provide you with that delicacy. I always alternate between their different tacos and this time I got a tripa taco. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it is great here. Well fried and crispy and with their hotter salsa spread over it, with fresh tortilla, I am in heaven. From my first trip to this restaurant, I have always loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. It truly feels like a great little Mexican restaurant and I am happy to see they have expanded. I envy all you folks who live in Bullhead City and have easy access to this restaurant. I live in Phoenix and no trip to Laughlin is complete without a stop to El Charro.

Before we were seated, one of…read morethe staff members told us that we couldn't bring the baby's water tumbler inside and that we needed to take it back to the car. When we politely asked why, we weren't given an explanation--just repeatedly told that we couldn't bring it in. We were confused and even debated whether we wanted to stay. I eventually asked another staff member, who kindly explained the reason behind the policy. Once it was explained, we completely understood and were fine with it. A simple explanation from the beginning would have made all the difference. The rest of our experience was wonderful. Our server was attentive, friendly, and on top of everything throughout our meal. The food was also delicious, and everyone in our party really enjoyed it. The place looked great except for the restroom trash can was overflowing with paper towels, maybe invest in a bigger trash can if you have that much foot traffic However, toward the end of dinner, we noticed another family with a child who had a water bottle at their table. That left us confused all over again. If the policy applies to everyone, it should be enforced consistently. If there are exceptions, those should be communicated clearly. Overall, we enjoyed the food and service, but the inconsistent handling of the water bottle policy left us with mixed feelings.

We stayed 5.5 miles away, on the River Walk, made the leisurely return drive to Bonito once we saw the colorful frontage on an earlier foray into Bullhead City for necessary provisions once we RECOILED from the sky high prices at the Harrah's Tropicana (ex, $7.49 for a 20oz jar of Diet Pepsi). BG greets its guests with festive, brightly painted dark orange. We began our course with a titanic mango margarita. To their credit, they feature warmed bean dip topped with crumbled queso fresco as an accompaniment to their chips/salsa. Leti, after choosing BG for its seafood heavy menu, threw a curve and opted for a bowl of birria soup. I chose an Asada Chimichanga with a duo of asada tacos dorados. The tortillas are handmade and delicious! Both Leti and I marveled at the quality of the house Mexican rice, super fresh, fluffed and teeming with a light, florid tomato-dense taste complimented by Lima beans. Quite the refreshing departure from the bland rice dispensed by 90% of Mexican restaurants! My wife said that her Caldo de Birria was good...but that it wasn't super plentiful in meat. My chimi arrived golden brown with a heap of melted cheddar jack cheese bullseyed on the top. The interior is studded with asada, bell peppers and onions. First time I've ever seen bell peppers utilized inside burritos! The asada crunchy (dorado) tacos were generously stuffed with asada...but zero accompaniments like onions/cilantro/lettuce or tomato. I hadta redeploy the lettuce/tomato served alongside my chili, inside my tacos! If you're gonna charge $5/Taco at least send them properly attired! Gentle suggestion: Consider offering guests a side serving of fresh lettuce, tomato, diced onions and cilantro to dress up their tacos. Or, serve them with a ramekin of steamy birria broth... The mango marg was not "super sweet" (as our server Daniela had described) and we both thought it was stingy on the tequila, esp for its $16.99 belt, er, tab. Our bill was $86 incl taxes and tip for two entrees, a cocktail and a soda.

So, I turned around and headed here, even though OpenTable reported that no time slots were available. I dropped Diane off before parking, and she easily scored a table here. In fact, hardly anyone was seated inside the restaurant, and it did not seem like a festive Mexican holiday at all. The Tuesday Night Menu was very limited, but I selected very tasty and smooth Stone Guacamole not prepared tableside but including tomatoes, White Onion, and jalapenos, to go with house-prepared salsa and spiced up Tortilla Chips. By request Diane received a complimentary basket of non-spicy Tortilla Chips, as well as a Kids Cheese Quesadilla. Somehow this filled her up. I, on the other hand, ordered a Southwest Beef Burrito with added beans inside, and Roja Sauce and Queso on top. The burro was large, but I finished it, along with more beans, and included rice. Everything tasted good and washed down well with Diet Pepsi.
