The overpriced kitchen sink omelette. Can to show scale.
Maeve B.

$20 for an omelette?! No thank you...it wasn't big, the eggs were overcooked, and the bacon was rubbery. This was the location on Montgomery and Wyoming.

After years of moving to ABQ, I had never been to The Range Cafe in person until recently. I was really surprised by how crowded/busy the place was. Even then, the staff told me what I saw was actually not their busiest hours yet! It was still some wait time for those who want to sit at tables. That said, I sat at a bar across from the kitchen...and frankly enjoyed seeing and learning how food got prepared and dished out to customers. To be honest, seeing how busy and how much hard work the wait staff had to do..I was so glad I didn't have to work there! It's real hard work! I got a homemade granola with fruits and yoghurt for breakfast ($11.99) and soda ($3.99) and was quite satisfied. The food was on an expensive side of scale, but seeing how hard the staff ahd to work and maybe how off I was with the whole inflation since I hadn'at eaten out properly all that much these days...I might be wrong to judge about pricing. That said, lots of options for breakfast/brunch. Also, I saw their homemade desserts,...and those were ginormous!! If you go by yourself..you probably need to make sure to bring leftovers home..or bring someone else to share with you! Good, lively place! I will be back!

Chocolate two-layer 10'' cake with chocolate fudge frosting and raspberry added to the frosting between the layers. Delicious!

I've always enjoyed the desserts at The Range restaurants but I didn't know they also make custom cakes until I checked out the website while planning a birthday party. I ended up ordering three 10'' round cakes in three different flavors: choc cake with choc fudge frosting plus raspberry filling(my fav); strawberry cake w/ strawberry frosting and filling; and carrot cake (w/o the carrot decoration). Andres was great at helping me pick out just the right variety. An added bonus for me was that, unlike most bakeries, The Range is open on Sundays so the cakes could be picked up on the way to the birthday brunch. And the icing on the cake was that they were very reasonably priced.

While the original Range in Bernallilo remains my all time fav, I love how delicious and consistent each location is. This one is closest to my house, so I tend to come here most often. I love how quickly the food arrives, the high quality of the food and the variety. They offer lunch after 11am and have a great breakfast menu with a mix of sweet and savory offerings. I have suuuuch a bangin omelette this weekend that I can't stop thinking about. Both the hostess and servers were so lovely and attentive. And don't get me started on the cute decor, I love the cows and whimsy!

For 13 of us, the service was exceptional! Rudy, our waiter had help from his buddies in the kitchen bringing out amazing dishes. We'll be back!

We walked in Range Cafe and was seated at a booth right away. It was very convenient while we had a small toddler who needed to sit in a booster seat. Service was very prompt with everything until the end where it did slow down bc it got busier. We did order a lot of food for 3 adults and 1 child. We spent about $120 after tip. I really enjoyed my Ruby Red Grapefuit juice, and would order it again. I had to share it with my toddler. I actually finished aafter we were done eating. I didn't finish my breakfast, however, bc it was a lot of food. I added impossible chorizo patties on top of my huevos rancheros with Christmas chili. Everything tasted fantastic. I will mention that my biscuit wasn't as tall as I remembered it last time. It looked like a basic biscuit, which was a little disappointing. I did enjoy it with the jelly anand butter. We ordered a brownie to-go, and I didn't enjoy it. I've never had trouble eating brownies, either. Even my family didn't really enjoy it. :/ Overall, will come again and try other dishes, and the pastries.

Stage area that has live music but I think it'd be even better for karaoke

Don't miss this place when you're in the Santa Ana Pueblo/Bernalilo area of New Mexico. In fact make it a point to go out of your way to get there if you have to. It is an amazing meal. We came here to try the Christmas breakfast burrito. And my friend had the Blue Corn Relleno Plate. Both were excellent probably the best chile relleno I've had in a while. The red sauce was a little too late for me a bit on the mild side and not so heavy with the red chile, but I was able to get an extra side of the green chile which more than made up for it. Tried the pickle juice bloody Mary which came with all the trimmings and was so delicious and my friend had the scotch ale. Hands down the service was excellent and attentive. Just wish we had had room for dessert. Especially when we past the bakery on the way out. The whole environment was wonderful and interesting with so many wall hangings including art for sale. The café is an institution.

Stopped in for dinner and some drinks since I hadn't been in a while. I love the decor in this spot, it's really just a fun atmosphere. It wasn't crowded and we got seated right away. Probably a good thing, since otherwise I would have been hanging out near the dessert case and they all look so good that that's never the best plan. I might forget that I intended to get a meal! The server was great about giving us time to read through the menu and make our decisions. She was also good about checking on us periodically, making sure the water glasses were full and we didn't need anything else. I got a house margarita and the relleno plate and they both hit the spot perfectly. The rellenos had a good amount of cheese and the chiles (I got mine Christmas) had a good kick to it. The margarita was a good accompaniment and definitely paired well. I need to remember to go back more often.

Here we are again at a restaurant in Albuquerque where I just want to start off by bragging about wonderful customer service. Annemarie was amazing, bubbly, and positive! It's professional servers like this that almost make you demand yourself to return. Thanks for making our day! The atmosphere was cute, with bright colors and lots of characters to see, and a giant bar! The food was..... amazing! Darn it! I want to find something not near perfect. Sitting next to my beautiful women makes it even better! I ate the huevos rancheros. She had the carne adovada and grits. And shared a turtle caramel, apple cheesecake! O'yeah! It was great. We're talking about returning after church tomorrow! No joke!

Cream Puff

Wonderful lunch at range cafe!! 10% off your entree if you order a dessert before you order your meal, so I got the cream puff and it was AMAZING!! We all did the Thursday nacho special and it was delicious and a great deal! The service here is always INCREDIBLE, the staff is so sweet and kind!

It still feels like its former incarnation as a JB's to me, but Matt DiGregory's The Range Café on Wyoming has been here for some time now. It's reliable, but it's not the first place I ever think to head. The food is usually okay but sometimes disappointing and somehow doesn't ever seem as good as at the newer EDO location (that used to be DiGregory's Standard Diner) or the original location in Bernalillo, and the room doesn't feel as nifty, either. End result is that, while this is the closest outlet of the restaurant to where I live, it's the one I visit the least. But I'd like to pay well earned respect to our terrific server Nikki, who made our lunch today feel like something special: she was patient, on-it and welcoming in such a friendly way that we are more likely to give this location another go here soon.

The venue instantly charmed me with its classic American aesthetic recalling the sophisticated, welcoming cafe style I used to adore in Georgia. Arrival was effortlessly smooth with convenient parking positioned right out front, complemented by a lovely, breezy outdoor seating area that creates a delightful ambiance for an outdoor lunch. Stepping inside, the air is filled with the comforting aroma of fresh, high-quality coffee. The interior is spotlessly clean, pristine, and wonderfully organized, complete with a spectacular selection of artisanal breads and baked goods. The hospitality was top-tier from the start; the staff member who took my order was exceptionally warm, gracious, and attentive, setting a polished tone for the visit. To pair with my midday meal, I ordered my personal favorite a vanilla latte which arrived exquisitely crafted, smooth, and perfectly warm. For my main course, I selected the Prosciutto toast, which proved to be an absolute culinary triumph vibrant, wonderfully balanced, and executed with superb ingredient quality. Between the spotless environment, charming decor, divine espresso offerings, and stellar service, The Grove Cafe & Market earns full marks from me. A thoroughly marvelous spot I shall most certainly be returning

It has a modern, bright, aesthetic vibe with marble-style tables, clean decor, and a great atmosphere to sit and hang out. Visually, it checks all the boxes for a trendy brunch spot. The staff were very kind and went out of their way to be helpful and attentive to all guests. Unfortunately, the food and value simply don't match the ambiance. We ordered two straightforward breakfast plates and iced coffees, and the bill came out to around $40--which feels way too expensive for what actually ends up on your plate. The first dish was a basic breakfast sandwich on an English muffin served with a small side ramekin of kale salad. While the presentation was neat, the sandwich itself was fairly standard and underwhelming for the price tag. The second plate was a traditional breakfast layout featuring scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, jam, and the same small kale side. The eggs were cooked fine and the bacon was crisp, but there was nothing unique or memorable about the flavors to justify charging high-end prices for staple breakfast ingredients.  All in all, while the aesthetic and atmosphere are definitely inviting, paying $40 for two plain breakfast plates leaves a sour taste. If you're looking for an impressive food experience to match the high price point, you might end up

The kids are happy, I'm happy, and honestly, that's a successful breakfast in my book. The only downside is the limited seating. It's a smaller location, so it can fill up quickly, especially during the breakfast rush. If you happen to come during a really busy time, you may have to wait a bit to find a table. That said, I don't think it takes away from the experience you just have to time it right. We usually come for breakfast since they're open for breakfast and lunch, and this time I tried the Grande burrito. And let me tell you, "Grande" is not an exaggeration. That is a LOT of food. I got the bacon-smothered burrito with red chile, and it was delicious. Unfortunately, I could not finish it. I do wish there was something between the Grande and Junior because the Grande is a serious commitment, and I'm not sure the Junior would be enough. I'll have to try it next time and find out. My daughter ordered the steak sandwich, which comes with an Angus sirloin steak on Texas toast. It looked a little wild when it came out, but she ate it and said it was delicious, so apparently the presentation was just part of the experience. My son got the sausage, egg and cheese biscuits. He ate the whole thing, so clearly he approved. His only complaint was that the biscuit kept falling apart, but considering he's a little kid, I'm going to blame that one on the user rather than the biscuit. The staff has always been friendly during our visits. On this particular morning, a gentleman came around several times to refill our house coffee, which I always appreciate. Good service and a full coffee cup go a long way. And if you're into pastries and coffee, they have plenty of options. I've tried their blueberry muffin, and it is divine. They also have different baked scones, and I've had their lattes and macchiatos, which have all been really good. I still need to come back during the lunch hours because there are several things I want to try. The hot beef sundae caught my attention, and the Philly also looked really good. There are so many different options that I feel like I could keep coming back and ordering something different every time. This is definitely the kind of place where you can stop in, grab something really good, enjoy a little coffee, and get on with your morning. It's casual, welcoming, and consistently good. Limited seating is really my only complaint. Otherwise, I've been here multiple times and have yet to leave disappointed. Definitely a must-try!

For our meal, we ordered two Chicken & Waffles plates, a Blue Corn Lavender Waffle, and a kids' plate. The Chicken & Waffles were the highlight of the meal, offering a satisfying balance of sweet and savory flavors. The Blue Corn Lavender Waffle was a unique touch and a fun way to try something distinctly New Mexican. Neither my wife nor I cared for the drip coffee, so we asked a staff member if we could swap it out for double espressos. They were happy to accommodate us, and the espresso was a significant improvement. The service was friendly, and the staff made a positive first impression from the phone call all the way through our visit. For our family, the total came to about $80, which felt a little steep. We ended up eating inside since the patio tables were either occupied or unavailable (due to a sleeping homeless person). The restaurant is housed in a renovated older home, and they've done a nice job making the most of the space. One of my favorite touches was the collection of retro waffle makers displayed along the walls, which added a fun, nostalgic charm to the atmosphere. The blue corn is just a tinge sweet so was an interesting mix. The waffle is a decent size but is super filling and dense. I had the traditional Benny. I read the good review. The first eggs were hard boiled. I could have made deviled eggs. But Leo got them remade and broght out with very little wait. The kale salad was good and I really liked the pickled onion in it. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and were very tasty. But the main dish, the Benny, was so disappointing. The sauce was on the sweet side and it tasted like sweet cream with no other distinguishing flavors. It was also very thin. I prefer a more traditional flavor, a more flavorful flavor if you will. It was just so bland! If this is their standard benny...well, just disappointed. I usually try a place at least a couple of times and different food but I'm not sure I would bother here as the terrible parking lot, loud interior, and frankly inferior Benny makes me wonder about their other offerings. It's close to home and I really wanted to like it but no. Prices are on the high side but if the food is good that is not a deal breaker. Three stars because of bland Benny and bad parking lot.
