I went here 2/27/23 m. We're a couple from CT. I personally have never fired any weapon nor held a gun before. My boyfriend on the other hand has, but recommended that we try it out while we visit Texas, since the rules are a bit different, and I could try it for myself. I called a day before booking the reservations and already could tell the staff was super informative and sweet, they answered all my silly questions. Dillion Campbell, I highly recommend as an instructor. He's super kind and was extremely patient with me. He answered all our questions and reviewed gun safety multiple times. He shared detailed about the variations in guns and what other packages we could try out for next time. He is super knowledgeable and I can tell he's passionate and enthusiastic about his job. He was super encouraging. Dillion was extremely professional and made our experience great. He's friendly and extremely brave for standing behind a super scared, nervous me. 10/10 would recommend and would love to go again. read more

I called ahead of time to let them know I'd be there at 8:50. He assured me twice it would not be an issue. I payed for an Uber to get here. I showed up on time and the line level employee at the door locked the door and told me "oh sorry we're closed" I explained I just talked to the manager who assured me they can still help me and he just went inside and locked the other door. Absolutely ridiculous. I'm not sitting awkwardly in a parking lot waiting for another lyft. Insanely poor customer service and they need to fire the key holder. It wasn't closed, he was just in a rush home to probably cuddle his anime bottle pillow. Beyond me how this occurred. Higher better people or get a job that you see the value of a paying customer. First time here and felt completely comfortable with instructions, prices and customer service! After signing up for a lane the guy that actually checked us in took the time to explain my new gun to me( 380 s&w bodyguard) showed me how to handle and take apart for cleaning purposes! Several dos and don'ts...Even walked us over to gunsmith to show me Proper dismantling! Husband couldn't use his as he brought his 12 gauge and you can only use slugs there for that which he didn't have! No ammo available for sale either... so that was disappointing! Took the online class for concealed weapons and will certainly go back there to finish up for permits! Thank you to all that helped us that day for your patience and knowledge! I've been here several times and have had a good experience each time. I have been there with friends who really weren't into guns, but they had a good time and expressed an interest in going back. Perhaps most importantly, the last time that I was there the guy on the lane next to me started shooting at the lights and the ceiling and generally being a jackass with his AR (I think he was showing off for his girlfriend?), and the range officer immediately asked him to leave. That impressed me because 1) it makes the whole place a lot safer, and 2) it showed a willingness to prioritize safety, even at the expense of potentially making irresponsible people angry. I enjoy shooting, but I guess I'm boring enough to still really want people to be responsible with their weapons. Anyway, it's a clean, comfortable, professional place, and I hope that it stays that way! read more

Do yourself a favor and don't EVER go to this gun range. I forgot how over priced it is to shoot and on top of that having somebody standing over you while you're shooting is super annoying. Took my girlfriend, paid for an hour for a lane which was $38 bucks total. Began shooting my .223 caliber M4 to be stopped and asked if I was "shooting reloads or green tip ammo" which i wasn't at all and never would waste such expensive ammo at this garbage establishment. The only reason I gave them two stars is because of the fancy shit inside and the building has AC but other then that they are over priced and the range officers can be not very welcoming to newbies. My husband took me here for my birthday and it was awesome! This was my first time ever shooting a pistol or an assault rifle. I had no idea how loud it would be, but I felt so much adrenaline and got this weird giddy laugh like I was a kid who was doing something wrong and just got caught. I thought it was going to be scary and dangerous, but they have several staff members walking around with pistols on their hips making sure that nobody breaks any safety rules or whatever they're called. I bought my first gun and knew nothing at all about guns. Complete newbie, but everybody starts somewhere. I had no idea what to expect going to a gun range and had a fair amount of anxiety at the thought. I booked a private instruction with Jeff Gonzales to get my feet wet. I was very nervous but Jeff put me right at ease. It was an excellent experience and I left with a good foundation on my gun and felt pretty comfortable using it. I learned A LOT in a short time, but it never felt rushed in any way. I felt like Jeff really cared about me as a new shooter and his training was invaluable. He took the time to sit and talk with me both before and after our lesson, both to learn about my goals, recap what we learned and opportunity to ask any questions. I asked Jeff for his advice on the appropriate classes to continue my training and he gave me solid recommendations and why, and with options depending on the path I want to take. I have the knowledge and confidence to begin practice shooting on my own at The Range after my first class with Jeff. I also confidently know the path to go from here to increase my proficiency, skill and LTC goals. The facility itself is First Class! It's gorgeous, state-of-the-art, pristine and professional, and the friendly staff made it a very comfortable environment as well. Thank you Hank! Visiting from Maryland and the first thing out of Ruger Dan's mouth was to correct me and insult my Army buddy, another combat vet. They told me to sign the waiver and I was fine with that until I found out that they wouldn't give me a copy. Um, no. I asked a range officer standing near the pistol range what the minimum distance was, and he told me 100 yards twice. I was pretty sure that was not right since beginners were shooting at targets a foot away from them. I asked again, emphasizing *minimum* and he finally said, "Oh, zero." Great shooting experience and gun library facility. Awesome place to take friends or family to go shooting or just to hang out. I wish I can say the same for thier retail or gunsmith. Ive been a member for two years spent plenty of money and added new memberships for them but their customer service or courtesy can use some help. Im not one of wanting everthing free or discounted but when you spend money and being a loyal customer you would think some gunsmithing would be free or discounted. It simple stuff too....nothing that's to hard to do just don't have time or wanted things done right. This is call Courtesy or Customer Service what this place lacks!! This was my first time shooting a gun along with my girlfriend who only shot once. We found a Groupon for a machine gun experience for the range. We ended up shooting a G36, full auto! Super cool! Our range officer was Monica and she was the best. She made both me and my girlfriend feel relaxed and was very helpful without being any bit aggressive or anything. Very personable. Absolutely coming back. Edit: One small thing is I think their sights on this particular gun may not be adjusted correctly, I was aiming for the blue dot everytime and you can see I had a very small cluster just southwest of the dot. The place is impressively constructed but customer service has declined considerably in the past 3-4 months. As a member I have encountered: Long waits at the check-in counter (staffing issues), if you are a member- you are banished to Alpha Bay (freezing in there) or Bravo without an RSO. RSO's seem to be saved for the non-members. Classes seem to take priority over members and visiting shooters.... we were recently limited to an hour (but were first told we would have to wait 2 hrs. for a lane) because the classes were using two of the three bays. Did I mention staffing issues? Personnel are all friendly and helpful but seems that they are always running on a skeleton crew. Phones are also never answered, so there's no way to reserve a lane ahead of time. Will really need to consider renewing my membership if this is the new norm. read more

Have been to the Range a couple of times to sight in an AR-15 and a Encore 22-250. The folks at the range check in were very friendly, courteous and professional. I subsequently signed up to take my LTC handgun proficiency test after taking the written course online. Jeff Rockwell was my instructor for the proficiency test and he was top notch. He was very professional and it was apparent that he had the necessary knowledge and experience to conduct the class and test. I have also had a suppressor delivered to the Range on my behalf and once federal approvals were received they contacted me to pick it up. The process was seamless and efficient. As a native of Austin, we have never really had a first class gun range until the Range opened. We deserve it. read more

Great indoor range. Very nice. They have a large number of 25yd lanes, as well as several 100yd lanes and a large retail space. Under normal circumstances they have a variety of guns that you can rent to try out on a lane. They offer classes, gunsmith services and more. Booked a bachelor's party here about a month ago. Our group was driving in from another city so unfortunately, my communication with the events coordinator was through email and phone. It was difficult to get a hold of them through email and when I did call to try and get an answer, it was always to leave a message. Thankfully, the day of our event went well. Everyone thought the place looked great. Their display was the best I've seen for any gun range/gun shops so far. Our coordinator was present and did a great job of keeping everybody safe. They even gave some of us shooting tips during our time on the range. Overall we enjoyed our shooting experience. However, when it was time to check out, again there was a lack of attention to detail and communication regarding final costs. I asked for a itemized receipt and was told it would be emailed to me. When I finally did receive it, all it had were on it was the deposit I paid to reserve our spot and the final amount spent for the event. There were no other details on there. There's room for improvement. I don't doubt that improving on the details would make this place much better. TLDR; communication/customer service could be better. If I could give zero stars I would.. super racist establishment. This would be my second time trying to enjoy a fun day with my boyfriend and family and they give the same excuse that we smell like marijuana so we cant shoot. Literally nobody that I was with smoked or smokes weed! On top of that I had my one year old baby with us and I would never allow that around him. Then they wait til our lane is opened to say something. No sir we're just colored & black and yall hate that.. Asked if I could draw from the holster and Was told I would need to be "holster certified" in order to do so. Then I asked how to do that, and was told I'd have to pay 100 dollars what a money grab load of crap. If you don't want people to draw from holster just say that, tell me I can I just have to pay a ridiculous price to do it.
