I had no knowledge of firing a gun prior to this visit so i came here and ended up having one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life. Big kudos to Matthew who was my safety officer. He was beyond friendly and stellar at explaining the fundamentals and made sure you had a great time. The safety officers are there for you every step of the way. Although I will say the prices are a wee bit on the hefty side; that's the only con I can point out if any. I have been shooting firearms for many years and have visited many ranges across the United States. This is undoubtly the nicest range that I have visited. The facility is large, clean, and very visually appealing. They have an unique display of firearms for sale. There is a digital description behind each firearm. They have a large assortment of firearms for rent, including ammo for sale. I was able to tell them my preferred firearm for renting and it was available. There are an abundance of shooting lanes that are roomy, clean, and high-tech. The target distances are electronically controlled and can reach 25 yards for the pistol lanes. They have 100 yards available for the rifle lanes. The shooting area was clean and well maintained. The prices for classes, rentals, ammo, and purchases are reasonable. The cost of membership is also reasonable. Membership is not required. This place made a great first impression with me. I will be returning. I will be bringing my family with me on the next visits. I have already referred this place to many of my friends and associates. I'm sure that they will be impressed, as you will be also. read more

We planned an afternoon at the range as part of a bachelor party weekend and we had a great time. Jesse and all the people took good care of us and made helpful suggestions for what guns to shoot. However, they also didn't push us toward really expensive guns and were upfront and honest about pricing and everything. They set everything up for us and helped us learn how to load the guns and shoot them, which really helped make everyone comfortable in the environment. My mom and I booked the pistol introduction package. We both had pistols that we hadn't shot yet and liked the idea of having one on one time with a range safety officer to walk us through them and answer any questions. We were paired up with Batman. He was very knowledgeable and extremely patient. He made sure we felt comfortable loading and shooting our pistol safely. We both walked away more confident in our ability to handle and shoot our pistols. We could tell that Batman really enjoyed teaching and sharing his passion with us and his customer service was exceptional. read more

First off, the place is very nice. Layout is awesome. No doubts about it. That being said, there customer service sucks. I was in there for 35min walking around and checking out everything. Not a single person said a word to me. No hello, welcome can I help you?, nothing. I'm in the market for a new gun. Not here though. My cousins and I were excited to check this place out. We'd been members at Bentley's for a while and wanted to try something new. The employees here resemble security guards who have never passed a police test. My cousins and I have been to a lot of shooting ranges since we were kids (we are a military family). We felt like they were urging us to put our hands up as we take off our unloaded rifle out of the holster. The thing that annoyed us the most was that the staff singled us out among plenty of other groups with some annoying trigger-happy kids. My cousins and I were having none of it, so we called it a day and went to Bentley's. That's a shame because I really like the man cave vibe. I'm going to try to go by myself in the near future. Groups can be intimidating at times, or perhaps the workers are simply having a bad day. They have a great collection. Hopefully next time will be better. read more

I had a great experience at The Range. Was in town for a few days so visited twice to take a couple of the instruction packages. I learned a lot from Patrick in a relatively short time; for people looking to gain some proficiency in the use of firearms, I would highly recommend Patrick and The Range in general, which was well-appointed, clean, and well organized. It's a nice place to shoot but don't fall for the WAY over priced corporate memberships. Not worth it! The management has a long way to go. They've been open a year but still don't seem to have their act together. They seem to have a ton of turn-over too. And I know safety is paramount in places like this, but many of the range safety officers seem to enjoy making you feel like a 5 year old when escorting you in and out of the ranges. I have been shooting my entire life, I have my concealed carry permit, carry daily, have taken numerous gun safety courses. Yet every time I was there one of the range safety people found something to knit-pick me on and belittle me or my party for. Almost as if they felt it their duty to do that with everyone. What's most frustrating about this place is that my company spent $20,000 on a one year corporate membership. Truthfully, we haven't used the membership enough to justify the enormous amount of money that it cost us. Considering the number of times we have used the range, our cost per use must be in excess of $3-4k. Frankly, we signed up for the corporate membership VIP because of the food and drink and entertaining options that were supposed to accompany the shooting. As of a couple weeks ago when I was there last, they STILL do not have food or drink available daily at the Patriot Club. Its really been a disappointment so far that our very costly membership to The Range hasn't turned into what we were told it was going to be. Its simply a nice indoor gun range. Not quite the versatile entertainment space we were told it was going to be. I am sure once they do get the food and beverage going that it will improve the experience but the way I see it right now, I wasted $20,000 on our membership. Took my LTC class here and really loved this place. All the different associates I had questions for throughout the day were ultra nice and informative. The facility was ultra well taken care of and clean. The guy doing rentals was awesome and gave good advice/direction. Class was a little long but ultra informative and well done by Hank. I've taken three separate items into the range and all three have been damaged in the gunsmith shop. Bear the head gunsmith was nice enough to help replace the first one which was a buffer tube, castle nut, and end plate. But since then I haven't been able to reach anyone via telephone, email or even in person. The young gunsmith staff is not a pleasure to deal with at all and even though I have sent in pictures/been onsite/and called I still can't get anyone to help me. Do yourself a favor and do not trust the shop with any of your high end items you will regret it. read more

No handloads.... No draw and fire. It's extremely expensive for the target system they use. No ability to have the targets turn 90 degrees and back with a timer. I asked for a rifle lane and was put in a 25yd pistol range.... If you're not a member you can only get 1 hour per trip. No ability to collect my brass that's gone past the bench. If you're burning up ammo for fun then it might be ok. It's a place for new shooters and nothing more. I won't be going back. It's pointless for me. read more

Without a doubt this is the finest looking ,and stocked Range / gun store I've ever seen! Always a pleasure to enter this establishment. And my wife absolutely loves this range. Then like clockwork I have an interaction with Ruger Dan and I instantly want to burn the building down to the foundation around him. The fact that he is at the front desk as a point man, or is allowed to have any interaction with the public is beyond me! This man has the personality of a cinder block! Rude curt and very abrasive just to say the least. I seriously question the the mind set of management for allowing him to even be near other humans!! First of all, I think the staff is bored. Why do you have to constantly be watching me? I'm just a normal dude wanting to shoot. Go clean the bathrooms or something. Secondly, there is only 1 other person wanting to shoot when I happen to be there. I have a little 9mm and he has an AK. Why do you have to put me on a lane right next to him? His brass was flying over the partition at me. Why can't I be a few lanes away? Then I have staff standing right behind me watching me shoot. Why? I take a personal day from work because I just need to check out mentally and do something for me. Now I have to have people around me in an empty range? Give me some space...jeez. The Range is a state of the art facility and their membership rates are a pretty good deal if you shoot frequently. However they do not adhere to any social distancing policies. During the beginning stages of isolation they were being mindful by wearing facemasks and placing people in every other shooting bay. However now it is rare that you will see a facemask at all, but worse, they are cramming as many people tightly together in the shooting lanes as they can. At one point during our visit there were about 10 people within a 6 foot radius, all in an enclosed space, without any safety precautions. The email they sent out to prompt Yelp reviews from their customers asks us to "Stay safe", however when visiting the facility you can see that's clearly not a concern of theirs. I really enjoyed seeing them enact precautionary measures upfront and hope to visit them again soon, but with what appears to be a complete lack of regard to the safety of their customers and staff, I cannot recommend using their facility at this time. read more

Came from pflugerville to take the the LTC shooting test. The range is one of the nicer ones in the Austin area. Parking is good, our instructor Frank Tooker is informative. If you're going now you might need to bring your own 9mm ammo. They don't have any and don't know when they will have it back in stock. read more

I love this place - the people are super nice, sales guys are right on top of things, and most importantly, the range has the nicest RSOs I've ever come across. Twice now I've had RSOs be super friendly, helpful and even lend their own gear. Kurt in the 100 yard range helped me with teaching my son the basics on a Ruger .22. Their prices might be a little high but that buys you a great facility, and the employees are an absolute font of knowledge. Very well run. read more

Nicest range around. The showroom, lobby and the range are all very clean. Inside the range you don't have the typical gun powder smell due to an awesome air circulation system. The staff is very friendly, without the ego many gun ranges have. As an added bonus there are sitting areas for people not shooting to sit comfortably and enjoy WiFi. read more

There's no way to say this without sounding like a dick so I'm just gonna say it: This place belongs in LA, not ATX. Don't get me wrong, I'm stoked that it's here, but everything about it screams LA. It's like if the W Hotel were a firing range. The interior reminds me of a spa. Sleek, modern, clean, calm...well, except for the gunfire. This is the kind of place A-List schmoozers would take clients to impress them while reinforcing their standing in the old boys club. Even Hollywood libs with their gun control rhetoric couldn't resist this shiny happy place. So, here are the highlights: -The store is incredible. It's more like a showroom than a shop. I half expected them to attempt to up-sell me floor mats and Lo Jack. -The range appears to be divided into 4 sections. Each section has around 10 bays (maybe less, I didn't count). We went on a Friday afternoon so it was slow-ish. They had all shooters crammed into one section and the other 3 were empty. There were probably 25 people crammed in there. A fraternity appeared to be sharing one lane, with multiples on other lanes as well. We had tried to rent two adjacent lanes but couldn't so we had to share. Had they been willing to open a second section, we could have shot in 2 adjacent lanes. It really was quite crowded, so it's disappointing they didn't split up the RSOs and open a 2nd section. -The overcrowding was such that even with 3 RSOs I was standing in a pile of brass. I finally went and grabbed one of their floor squeegees and policed my own brass. Not what I expected from a place of this caliber. -Long guns and handguns are shot in the same sections. If you're going to shoot your handguns, unfortunately you'll have to listen to Lambda Lambda Lambda get all Boyz in the Hood with a rental AR-15. Jackasses. Ideally, they could have put the Tri-Lams in a separate section with a dedicated RSO. The hairs on the back of my neck always stand up when gun-tourists are on the range. Perhaps that's a drawback for a fancy shmancy place like this. It's more of a destination and therefore a draw for amateurs. -Immaculate bathrooms. There was a diaper changing table in there. It's like when you see braille on drive-up ATMs and wonder why. Diaper changing...at a firing range? Whatever. Like I said, the restrooms were immaculate. -There are sinks just outside the range - in the lobby for quick hand washing. The sinks are the type on a motion sensor, so you can't adjust the water temp. I found it odd that there was very warm water coming from the taps when everyone knows it's best to wash with cold water after shooting to limit lead absorption into open pores. Perhaps just an oversight? -Other yelp reviews have already covered cost, so I'll just say this: You get what you pay for. This place is NICE. If all you want to do is throw lead and you don't care about comfort and convenience then save your cash and go to a local joint. This range is all fancy pants, and you will pay a premium. I believe it was $25/hr +$10/hr for the 2nd shooter. We were willing to pay $50 for two lanes but they could not accommodate us in adjacent lanes and it isn't practical to have lanes that are far apart. Great joint. Check it out if you are so inclined. read more

This place is a JOKE very disappointed. Was charged for 5 boxes of ammo when we only asked for 4. Started shooting at 9. Was given a demonstration that lasted 10 min then was told that the store closes 10 min before our hour was up. Only ended up only shooting for about 40 min while paying for a full hour. On top of everything they game my ID to another person which they honestly made seem like they do all the time. Now I have to go out of my way to go to the DMV and pay for a new ID. Will never be coming back..... unless the person who they gave my ID to returns it. Wish I could give NO stars read more

Great gun range, very clean and not like any other ive been to. Joined the membership since its a great deal for anyone that actually shoots their gun. Was helped out by a manager named Jeff Rockwell that helped me out with a few questions as far as hand grip position since I am still a new shooter. Spent about 15 minutes helping me out and I hadn't purchased anything or even told him I was a member. Also was giving alot of info by the guys behind the counter at the range check in. I've been to the range multiple times and I think it is A great firing range but definitely not the place for FFL transfers. Going through my first FFL transfer and was a little confused on how to do so. Guy told me to send the senders email address and he would take care of it but days later to no prevail. Guy ghosted on me and I didnt hear nothing from them. I just contacted another store, because if they wanted my business they could've at least responded. read more

Overall- the staff is too free to explain that they need to make a profit making the experience more like a visit to a car dealership than a gun range/shop. First, let's start with the facilities. If this were a review of just the facilities, it would be 5 stars hands down. The process of getting in, signing up, and leasing a lane is easy and quick. The range officers are courteous and professional. The noise levels and air quality are as good as I have seen in an indoor range. Now for the store front. The displays are first class with a huge selection of Sig Sauer along with an extensive selection of Glock. Sale prices are not too out of line with big box stores, but the rest of their inventory is only slightly below retail. Their sales staff, of which their is no shortage, are eager to mention that they are interested in buying or trading for your guns. After giving them an opportunity to evaluate my offerings, it appears they are interested in making a trade only if you have to sell or don't know the value of your investment. Their appraisal was about one third the secondary market prices. Sell high, buy low! read more
