I never throw away blown out tennis shoes because I use them when I work in the yard and walk for short distances. Just like food or other items that expire fitness shoes have a life. Depending how frequent you use your use, you could average 6 months to over a year. When I was training for marathons, I literally bought a pair of running shoes every 6 months because of the long distance running. I always know when I am ready for a new pair of fitness shoes. The red flag sign that scream shoe replacement is needed primarily is pain. I have a high arch and when the arch falls in fitness shoes, my feet hurt. Another sign for fitness shoe replacement include worn-out shoe soles, and a noticeable decrease in traction while you are moving in class. When your feet are cushioned, your feet are happy. They maybe singing Pharrell's song, Happy. Smile. To my surprise Academy was open until 10 pm. The customer service desk managed by Rick was super helpful. He allowed me take my shoes that I ordered online back to their shoe section to see if I could find a match in black. Unfortunately, black was sold out. However, I decided to keep my fitness shoes because they were comfortable on my feet, on sale ("Hot Deal") and I did not pay tax on the shoes. Happy feet...Happy Delores!

Therefore, I had to pick the backpack up in store after order. I have many North Face products but have never purchased a North Face product at a North Face retail store. When I arrived at the location to retrieve the backpack, I was greeted by two employees. I was also greeted by a smell of mold (yikes), which was present throughout the store. When I advised that I was at the location to pick up an order, I was asked for my I.D. (although the employees never looked at it). I gave the employees the name for the order, and without hast, one of the employees went to retrieve my item from the back. The North Face company has been through many iterations related to the way it has positioned itself in the market. One particular change focused on DEI occurred in March 2024. The North Face began offering a 20% discount to customers who watched a four-part, one-hour "racial inclusion" course, titled the "Allyship in the Outdoors" program which aimed to "foster a deeper understanding of the unique challenges that people of color face when accessing the outdoors" (North Face). I find it fairly interesting that a company this large took this approach to educate consumers. Overall, I was pleased with the level of service I received when in the store and happy with the product. I also appreciate the North Face's forward-thinking approach to inclusion.

Just expect to drop $50 minimum for something small, and maybe $300 for a full sized ice chest. This location won't help with online returns. So if you order something online you'll need to handle it with online reps before bringing it in. Staff is friendly here and very willing to help as much as possible, but still within company policy.
