I'm still not sure how I stumbled across Unhooked Sports and eFoiling but I'm so glad that I did. Paul was SUPER responsive to all of my emails was actually able to get us a private lesson for 2 within a week. Boyfriend researched eFoiling online and I was beyond stoked to try it. I was petrified. Until we met Paul at the lake and saw how organized, professional and prepared it all is. Paul provides helmets equipped with microphones and headphones, so he stayed in constant communication with us the entire time. Whether he was reminding us to speed up, lean this way, or just cheering us on; I never felt disconnected. Boyfriend is good at everything and it look him about 5 wipeouts before he picked it up. I never got to my knees, so I ended up having the most exhilarating boogie board experience. It is fun and a surprisingly good work as we're both still sore 4 days later. It is expensive; but consider that each eFoil board retails at $12,000 and we were using 3. There's also the tech for each of the helmets and Paul provided us with lifejackets. If you're into novel, one-of-a-kind activities, then the price tag won't scare you off. The 2 hours we spent outside, on the water, away from the world and having fun was worth it.

Seeing the refinement of No Comply had me smiling as it truly has a ride range of decks, bikes, clothing, shoes, and more. It's so well lit and organized and everything is easy to follow from the naked eye. The team was also super friendly which was refreshing and you can tell how much pride they have. I found a pair of white leather shoes that were on sale and I was ready to buy but sadly they didn't have my size womp womp. Talking with the ski guy, who also is a bicycle guy, I decided to bring my mountain bike back to get a tune up. It's been cold, so I won't miss it. The bike is taking longer than expected due to most of the guys helping out in the ski shop side. Very knowledgeable and chill dude. He is quite the teacher and continuously gave us tips to get better. By the end of our 2hr session, Scottie was teaching my boyfriend how to carve in and out of the wave and even let him use a more advance board. Just a testament to how awesome Scottie is and how he can challenge you to do more once you nail the basics. We hope to be back in Austin and wakesurfing again with Scottie when we can!

He was an amazing driver, great coach, and almost *too* friendly. The boat we rode in was very nice, comfortable and threw a HUGE wake. We were 20-30 minutes late, and he graciously extended our lesson to get a full three hours on the water. I would recommend this to anyone interested in trying out the sport- or just wanting to spend some extra time on the water trying new tricks. I am already ready to go again!

This place has plenty of room to paddle and an amazing view of the city. Such a good view that your girlfriend will ask you to take photos of her in front of the city while on the water and you clutch her phone with a death grip knowing if you drop it it may be your death. Only issue here is limited parking. Don't park on the sides of the road. Tried that got a ticket. So come early and get a spot in their tiny parking lot or über on over here. Austin PD makes bank on parking citations from this business, wait to support the city of Austin.

As someone who goes shopping for clothes only to replace old, worn…read moreclothing, or to search for an article of clothing that meets specific criteria, I tend to look for durable, quality materials, weight of the fabric, construction, color, and feel. I look at zipper construction, button construction, and inspect the stitching. The three times that I've ended up purchasing items here, the staff here have been extremely helpful in searching for items or looking for specific colors or sizes. I've never witnessed them selling or attempting to sell, as their items are able to sell themselves. Since they are what one might call athleisure, for each clothing type (whether shorts, pants, shirts, jackets, etc), they usually have multiple variants, including those made of different weighted fabrics, offered in a palette of colors. I have found their clothes to be functional (e.g. multiple pockets, including extra zipper pockets) and durable. That said I've only worn their higher weight fabric clothing. They do have a fitting room with several stalls. And the staff working there are more than happy to offer and assist you in retrieving extra items from the store. Checkout is also a breeze; they tend to do electric receipts via email, although print outs are possible. I think their pricing is fair. According to the frequency with which I wear the purchases from here, I seem to be getting good value and utility out of the clothing here. Also, their fabrics are quite comfortable.
