So far they've been great for us. The most recent example was today. I had spent the entire morning trying to get our sump pump to work, and had tried everything to thaw the pipes. I had come to the conclusion that maybe it was the pump itself that was having issues, so I decided to give them a call. The person I spoke with was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and had someone sent out same day to take a look. I believe his name was John and he was excellent. Super friendly and knew his stuff for sure. In the end it did turn out to simply be frozen pipes, but John took care of it, and not to mention had to work outside on the coldest day we've had in a long time. My basement flooded every spring and through summer. My house was built in 1946 and no sump pump…read morewas installed, and I live next to a large river so the water table is pretty high. I had water coming up through the floor and coming in from the walls. I had a few estimates to "waterproof" my basement. I knew that it was going to be expensive, so I wanted to make sure I found a company that actually cared about my situation and wasn't money driven. I called ABT and Dan came out within 48 hours to take a look at my basement and give me an estimate. Dan took his time, measured and took pictures of my basement. He gave me an estimate; again, I knew it would be expensive, but the cost was pretty competitive with the estimates I had already received. What pushed me to decide to use ABT was the fact that they actually cared about my situation. I opted for the whole package - sump pump and under floor bleeder lines and baseboard system. Once I gave them the go-ahead, they put me on the schedule quickly. It took 3 days to finish the work and each night, before the Jermellio and his crew left, they made sure to clean up. They were very respectful and explained to me what it was that they were doing each day. On the last day, they explained to me how everything works. All was great! About a week after the system was installed, I noticed that water was seeping through a crack in the floor. I called Dan and told him about it. No hassle, no fuss - they got someone out immediately to fix the problem - no extra charge. Great! About a month after the install, I noticed a lot more water coming up from one section of the basement floor. Once again, I called Dan and he had someone come out and assess the situation. After about 45 minutes of testing the system and taking measurements, it was discovered that the pitch was off on the bleeder system under the floor and the water was not draining properly. Again, no hassle, no fuss, they got someone out to my house - dug up the concrete, re-pitched the bleeder lines and tested it - works great, poured more concrete and it was finished - only took a couple of hours. Again, no charge. Bottom line, ABT cares about their customer satisfaction and will not stop until the customer is satisfied with the results. I will not hesitate to contact ABT again for other concrete needs. I ABT

The owner educated us and gave us peace of mind that our basement was great, especially given the age. He didn't try to sell us work that wasn't necessary. We dealt with Andy, the owner of the business, on a deal to acquire some heavy equipment he was…read moreselling, an old loader that he wasn't using any longer. We communicated with him for a couple of weeks, test driving the machine, inspecting it closely, and asking a lot of questions about it. It had a lot of miles/hours on it, but we decided to purchase it fully aware and understanding the issues with it (leaky diesel tank, leaking air from the tires, yet the transmission was good). He was firm on his price, we felt he was being fair, and he spent a lot of time with us during the process. On the day the check we wrote to him was approved by his bank, he had us come by to pick up the loader to take it home. Andy assured us that the batteries in the unit were good. Trusting his communication, we drove it off his property over 1 mile away to meet the flatbed truck delivering the loader to our Milwaukee address, and when we arrived at the meeting point, we shut the loader off awaiting the driver's arrival. When the driver arrived, we proceeded to try and start the loader to drive it on the flatbed, but it would not start. After trying lots of different tricks, we couldn't get it started, and finally decided to drive a few miles to a farm supply store to purchase some batteries, which once installed, allowed the loader to fire right up! The batteries cost us an extra $275 + $150 for the driver's time just to get it home. When we followed up with Andy via his cell phone leaving him 3 messages over the course of the week that followed, he would NOT return our phone calls. Before he had our check for the loader, he was VERY responsive. But upon calling to ask him about the batteries and the additional $$$ he cost us, he wouldn't respond. We were hopeful he would be understanding and share the costs which inconvenienced us following his comments that the batteries were good. Not knowing Andy beyond this transaction, I question his desire to do the right thing, and thought others should know about it. Is this how he provides customer service to others?

She also was very helpful with design ideas and guiding us to choose things that would work together. When we wanted a style or product they didn't have she was able to find it and get it in stock for us. She didn't make us feel rushed and she and the team did a great job installing all the tile and flooring. Hailey was very responsive and answered any questions we had quickly and accurately. Hailey also helped us on pricing when needed and if we were able to find the same product at a lower cost elsewhere she was always willing to price match. Some other people involved in our build would be visibly bothered by late changes or requests, but that was not at all the case with Hailey. Hailey and the whole team at Tile and Stone were great to work with throughout the building process and I would highly recommend them for any of your tile and flooring needs.

It was finally delivered in July, and we explained that the concrete slab we were having poured as part of our backyard project would not yet be done. No problem, we were told - and the hot tub was delivered to our garage. The delivery went smoothly and the delivery team was professional and helpful. They wrote on my receipt that a second move would be necessary so they could come ensure everything worked and all the features and processes explained (since we are new to this) once the pad was ready. When my project was completed two weeks later, I called to arrange that second move and was told "we don't do that" by the most unhelpful and rude customer service person ever. When I said - wait, it's written right on my receipt, you should have that record - he told me I was giving him "a little too much attitude for 9:15 on a Thursday morning." After he located the record that confirmed I was correct, (and after I picked my jaw up from the floor) he said "I suppose just because we don't normally do that doesn't mean we can't" - and he promised to have the delivery person call to set up a day and time. It's six weeks later and no phone call. Needless to say we had to pay someone else to move it for us and I figured out the system, chemicals and controls online. What a terrible way to reward someone who spent $12K with your company. The experience took the shine off the purchase for sure - and we have told EVERYONE we know who is considering a spa to STAY AWAY. And it's too bad, because it IS a nice spa....but wow. CAN NOT RECOMMEND - and I would NEVER do business with you again. Now I'm wondering who I can get to winterize it for me and reopen it without voiding my warranty - because no way am I putting myself through that again. I'd also like to add that this happened one day after a death in the family - so perhaps I sounded a bit upset - but regardless, that is no way to treat a customer. I'm just disgusted. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had working with landscapers. Beyond horrible communication and unprofessional crew. If you choose to work with this company, know that you will never hear from them once you sign a quote, they will randomly show up at your home unannounced whenever they please, and will never ever discuss anything with you before, during, or after the process. Our experience: We were told that work would begin weeks ago on a Monday, and would take about 3 days to complete. Monday rolls around and no one shows up, no one calls, nothing. Tuesday: no one shows up, no one calls, or returns our calls from the day prior. The third day, around noon, a couple of guys pull up to my house, and I go outside to greet them. They look confused when they see me and I ask if they are here to work on the lawn. They say yes. I tell them to watch out for an underground hornets nest and point to it. One of the men walks up to it and proceeds to spit a loogie down into the nest in front of me. I was completely grossed out and highly uncomfortable. They worked for a half a day and never returned the rest of the week. Again, zero contact. After many calls, attempting to gain clarity on when they would be working on our yard, my husband was able to speak to someone who finally revealed that they are "behind schedule" due to rain. They said the crew would be back over some time next week to keep working. The following Monday, I'm working from home, and hear some random person walking all around my yard and the side of my house. He drove up early in the morning in an unbranded car, did not introduce himself, and it actually freaked me out so bad that I nearly called the cops. Turns out it was just one of the landscapers checking out the work that was already done, which my husband was able to confirm after (yet again) reaching out to THEM to inquire if they had come to the house. A lack of communication, yet again. The rest of the week they never returned, with (you guessed it) zero outreach. At this point I'm beginning to feel like we're getting scammed. Finally, the third week later, after many calls and texts back and forth, they show up two days in a row to complete the job. Again, no knocks on the door, no communication whatsoever. They finished on that Wednesday, and not once contacted us to let us know the job was done. They rolled out sod in our backyard, and never gave us instructions on how to care for it or what to even do with it. Yes looking back we should have done our research, but this is also our first time with sod. Keep in mind, we had no idea if they were still working on the yard due to ZERO communication throughout this entire experience. We thought perhaps they had more they were working on, as we had several things they were doing. How hard would it have been for someone to knock on the door, let us know they were done, and asked if we had any questions??? It is now the Monday after. Surprise, surprise, We had to reach out to THEM to ask if they were finished with the job. They said yes. We are literally missing TWO peony bushes they claim to have trimmed back and "replanted". I have no clue where they even replanted them. I won't be surprised if they never bloom next spring. Please please do yourself a favor and find someone else to work with. I so regret working with this company. Save yourself the stress and money. I am angry beyond belief that we have had to do all of the communication with this business. I understand being behind schedule due to circumstances out of your control. But as the consumer paying thousands of dollars to have work done, I should not have to BEG you to contact me back to let me know when you'll be showing up, and to have a progress update every now and then, especially when you claim to be finished with the project we're paying for.
