Hopefully there won't be a next time, because after this experience I'd much rather spend my money with professionals at Home Depot. But if there is a next time, I can promise you I won't be calling him "sir." I came in needing help with landscaping stone. I wasn't sure exactly how much weight my trailer could safely hold, so yes, I bent the normal process a little while trying to figure it out. I wasn't trying to cause problems -- I was trying to safely purchase well over $600 worth of landscaping materials. Instead of anyone simply explaining the situation or helping me work through it, I was met with cold shoulders and treated like I was some kind of monster for not already knowing exactly how much stone the trailer could handle. Customer service doesn't mean every customer is going to know every rule or procedure before walking through the door. Sometimes people need help. That's literally the point. Robots can't come soon enough. They don't have egos, they can remain professional, and they don't let their emotions dictate how they treat paying customers. And don't get me wrong -- I'd probably be in a bad mood too if I were working on a holiday. But taking it out on customers who are simply asking for help isn't professional.

They have these courtesy phones where you can page someone to come to the department to help you. Associates are expected to respond and show up in less than one minute (if I understand correctly). That always has been the case for me. It was no exception yesterday or today when I went to Target to buy a new cell phone and switch (from Tracfone) to Consumer Cellular. They did not have the phone that I wanted in Wausau so Alex called the Stevens Point store and made arrangements for me to go there & pick it up. Today I got the phone and Alex set it up for me. The only glitches were minor and he handled them very well. The main one has to do with the way Tracfone handles accounts when a person wants to keep their phone number. If Alex happens to see this he can show this to his boss when it comes time for a performance evaluation! Thank you Alex!

When my friend in Wausau heard of my flower woes, she offered to deliver from Randy's to Chicago. She had brought me to his shop, Evolutions in Design, when I visited her a couple of years ago, and his excellent taste stayed in my mind. So, thanks to my friend's generosity, I was able to relax and hand my flower problem over to Randy. I put my trust in his design sense. It was trust well-placed. The 12 arrangements were absolutely gorgeous, really breath-taking. They turned an austere, generic room into a place of warmth and beauty. The price was very fair for the richness of the arrangements I got. No skimping here, no fillers, just glorious flowers at their peak bloom. I contacted them for service and was told since they no longer carry that brand they won't service it. Even though I bought it from them and they can still get parts they refuse to even look at it and suggested I call around to find someone else to service it. Considering my family has bought several spas, pool tables, and foosball tables over the years, it is apparently now a what have you done for me lately type of business.
