What a terrible experience. We bought the pool April 11th which we were told was in the warehouse. One month later some of the pool was delivered. It took weeks for the rest to be delivered. When the installers came, right off the bat we had parts missing. We called the Wausau pool people and felt dismissed. Eight days late we contacted the owner and the missing parts were never ordered and the emails were rude as if it was our fault the parts were missing. It took almost another 2 weeks for the missing parts to come. We however love the Tidal Wave Pools installers. They were so professional and kind. They went above and beyond to pick up the missing parts for us. read more

Unfortunately new owners have caused it to go downhill significantly. I purchased a new hot tub from them 6 years ago. Lately it has been having a problem. I contacted them for service and was told since they no longer carry that brand they won't service it. Even though I bought it from them and they can still get parts they refuse to even look at it and suggested I call around to find someone else to service it. Considering my family has bought several spas, pool tables, and foosball tables over the years, it is apparently now a what have you done for me lately type of business. read more

My original post was 11 months ago. It is coming upon a season when consumers tend to buy pools and hot tubs. I strongly urge consumers to read reviews and make an educated decision. My hot tub is finally fixed but not by Pool People or the "warranty" that it was under. My hot tub was fixed by another local business in only a few days! Thank you SunHarvester. Pool People/ Juniper Pools you are shameful. ORIGINAL REVIEW POSTED BELOW. It's generous that I have to give one star. We have been dealing with Juniper Pools formally Pool People for the last 8 months. We have been struggling with a wire mesh piece that broke free from the neck jet (Pool People do not feel needs to be replaced), to plastic pieces shooting out from the pipes (Pool People feel is common debri from the manufacturer nearly 3 years later), leaking pipes (Pool People failed to return a call for 3 months-my husband fixed the leak), overheat codes that shut down the tub (very concerning in Wisconsin winters), a tub that heats to 109 degrees (unsafe to use). I have spoken with Juniper Pools/Pool People and Artesian (manufacturer) multiple times with minimal response or repairs. I have been informed that the tests on the tub state the tub is running perfectly and if we continue to have problems after the warranty expires the costs will be my responsibility. They state the problems with tub are attributed to a chemical imbalance, a flow problem, the filter settings, dirty water, mice in the factory (bringing in the debri). I have emptied the tub twice, keep a chemically balanced tub, change the filter multiple times per month, changed filter cycles per their recommendations, leave the lid open to allow the heat to escape, power up the tub every day for 2 hours,,, and many other interventions. Pool People/Juniper Pools technician/manager suspect it is the circuit board/pack but refuse to order the parts because of the warranty. However, they do not stand by the warranty because it is an Artesian warranty. Juniper Pools/Pool People have asked me to stop calling the store. We have filed a claim with Better Business Bureau Business Chamber of Commerce and have also contacted an attorney. The attorney suggest filing a claim thru small claims court first. This takes time and winter is approaching. I have postponed posting on social media to give them ample time to correct these issues. I don't wish this on anyone and hope that this reaches anyone interested in purchasing a hot tub, spa or pool from Juniper Pools/Pool People. I will gladly update this post if the company is able to fix my hot tub. read more

This company takes no responsibility for there poor sales and schedules. we had to higher another installer as they said we were the first one for the season to be installed since we purchased in March by August still not installed. Horrible company read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!! Purchased a hot tub 4 years ago and have NEVER purchased filters or chemicals from anywhere but The Pool People. First called them 5 weeks ago to set up a service appointment because hot tub is leaking and we want to purchase a new cover. I have called 4 times in 5 weeks and have never received a returned phone call from the service department. Two of the phone calls I was told I would receive a call the very same day. I am trying to pay them money and that apparently doesn't warrant customer service!! Looking for suggestions for hot tub people that take care of their long term customers. read more

The pool people is a terrible company. They do not take care of their customers at all! Bought a hot tub two years ago this August 2 weeks or three weeks in to having the hot tub needed a new pump then it stopped working again and they came out and ""serviced it's still not properly running this February started making noises still not working properly. They kept coming out putting different parts in one part would cause another issue to break. Never contact us when they're in parts were ordered very very rude to us. They've been out to our house 9 times in six months hot tub is still not fixed. It's leaking underneath and there is still not taking responsibility for it , very rude to my husband. They do not stand behind their customers whatsoever can't get a hold of the company that made the hot tub artesian at what point is the pool people going to work for their customers? I haven't seen it yet paid over $9000 for a hot tub that I've been barely able to use maybe six months out of two year period of time , horrible service at this point they should've told artesian. Our hot tub was a lemon and we should have a new one sitting in our backyard right now still waiting on hearing what they're going to do about it and pool people never ever contact us. Very unprofessional! We bought our hottub out of Stevens Point which was delivered scratched inside. We were given $250 credit for that right after delivery in July. We could not get an electrician out here to hookup until November right before Thanksgiving. When we hooked up water was flooding out of it. Called service right away and had to pay $266 for a service fee because over 3 months. Scott in Stevens Point knew our tub was not hooked up. The serviceman could not find the leak after 4 hours working on it. We've called Schofield 3 times for a followup. No one has called us back to reschedule even after speaking to a manager. We are very upset! We've thrown almost $9,000 out the window! Our hottub is sitting unused! read more

This is the first review I have ever written about any business. After calling pool people to have my hot tub repaired pool people sent out a repairman who broke our jets, left purple primer all over the outside of the tub then left saying WE had to fill it and see if his work was ok (it wasn't). We were told by the repairman they would take care of the broken jet. After 6 months the broken jet was fixed by a different company and pool People never came back . I have heard from other people about this companies lack of caring for customers. I have called a repairman who replaced the broken jet that pool people said couldn't be fixed unfortunately it still has leaks and since pool people screwed with us for so long I don't thunk we can get insurance to pay for it. read more

This is in regards to the Wausau Location. They have taken over a month to fix our pool pump that we were told would be fixed in a week. Still no ETA of when it's done. They had been told multiple times we did not have a back up pump and this was needed to close our pool. Multiple times we called and were given the run around and literally no update or ETA on when our pump would be fixed. Our pool is now green, slimy, filled with leaves, and frozen on the top! Making it near impossible to close for the winter. We were finally told 11/1/19 that we could "borrow" a pump they had in stock to at least get the pool closed. My boyfriend goes to get it and they charged him Full Price!! $220.00. Now we are stuck heating the pool so the ice will melt so we can even vacuum and close it, and it's snowing outside. Horrible customer service for someone that has been a loyal customer for over 10 years. ALSO, this "new" pump is only one speed whereas our old one was two, so inferior product offered to replace the one we had. read more
