Fast forward a few weeks when I was ready to place my order for their Brown Sugar Red Oak engineered hardwood series. I was about to place the order through my local store but they dropped the ball on customer service, so I called From the Forest directly. WOW!! I was so happy I did. Not only did I save about $1.50/sq ft by ordered directly from the manufacturer but I got great customer service (they work with me over the phone and over email). The product has since been installed in our whole first floor and we love it. We even placed an order for more so that we could do our basement stairs and part of our basement bar area. I live in the Chicagoland area and the product has been delivered in as few as 4 days ; so fast and convenient! Highly recommend this company and their floor and I can't wait to try some of their wall boards in the future as well.

We were very happy with the selection and quality of products offered as well as the expertise of the installers. The installation took quite a while as well with the hiccups but it was worth the wait to have it done right. If you are looking for someone to come in tomorrow and get the job done this is probably not the place for you. If you are patient and are looking for quality over convenience then I would recommend Carpet City 100%.

The second size planks were on the bottom of the pile. They put down all the planks in the top boxes. They got to the last 5 boxes and discovered the other size planks. They gave us the option of tearing up the planks that were already set and they would reorder the entire floor or they would just order 5 boxes of the same size that was already down. We went with ordering the same size planks that were already down . It took another 2 -3 weeks to get it. Meanwhile our house was a real mess with furniture from the living room and dining room all over the place. No reparation for their mistake.

You're a customer service representative for John Menard -- dealing professionally with customers is part of the job. Hopefully there won't be a next time, because after this experience I'd much rather spend my money with professionals at Home Depot. But if there is a next time, I can promise you I won't be calling him "sir." I came in needing help with landscaping stone. I wasn't sure exactly how much weight my trailer could safely hold, so yes, I bent the normal process a little while trying to figure it out. I wasn't trying to cause problems -- I was trying to safely purchase well over $600 worth of landscaping materials. Instead of anyone simply explaining the situation or helping me work through it, I was met with cold shoulders and treated like I was some kind of monster for not already knowing exactly how much stone the trailer could handle. Customer service doesn't mean every customer is going to know every rule or procedure before walking through the door. Sometimes people need help. That's literally the point. Robots can't come soon enough. They don't have egos, they can remain professional, and they don't let their emotions dictate how they treat paying customers. And don't get me wrong -- I'd probably be in a bad mood too if I were working on a holiday. But taking it out on customers who are simply asking for help isn't professional.

Ignorance and greed at it's very best. Apparently they are making oodles of money and don't want to do anything outside of their business model.
