    Regal K9's - Training session.

    Regal K9's

    (3 reviews)

In January 2025 we took our dog Cooper to Regal K9's to get boarder training over a 3 week period…read more We paid $2400. We talked over with the trainer our concern that Cooper needs to be around other dogs and get socialized and learn to not be so excited when he comes in contact with other dogs. She said we would give us back a gentleman after his training. I was told we would be updated with videos and pictures of Cooper since we were going to be out of town and wanted to know how he was doing. We dropped him off Jan. 16th and on Jan. 20th I asked if she could send a video of Cooper. We didn't get a video or pictures until Jan. 23rd. I called her and asked how much time she was spending a day training Cooper. She said to start out it has to be short increments of 10- 15 minutes. I asked where he is the rest of the time and she said in his kennel. I said that is a long time to keep him in the kennel. To this day Cooper hates being in a kennel. He cries and howls so loud. Cooper only played with mainly one dog that was there for one week. We were hoping to bring home a better trained dog and we worked with him so much and still do , but he has a long way to go. I could not recommend this place. We have a sweet smart dog, but the training for $2400 was like throwing money in the garbage. I wish I would have done more research and found a place where they weren't afraid of getting dogs together to socialize. We are going to take him to another trainer that does so much more than this place did. I hate writing reviews like this, but so many people told me I need to. Pamela D.

Amazing.. Compasionate.. Phenomenal... Those are just a few of the words to describe Dog Trainer…read moreUS! The team here is everything and more you want for your furr baby! Kristi and Wesley in particular will make you feel like you have hit the jackpot on dog trainers! I had originally sent my dog to K-9 games when it had Kristi and we loved it... My dog had some regression and needed a new session that was a part of the lifetime package and the new K-9 owners said for another fee she could fix it. We went along with it, bad decision.. This not only increased the regression but caused more fear and then we were told that they were no longer going to train. Thankfully Kristi and Wes stepped up and took Dexter under their wing! They came in when we had lost hope and helped us. While Dexter is a very difficult case, Kristi and Wes agreed thy wouldn't give up on him, even when he had to be rehomed to be in an only dog home. If you are looking for trustworthy, skillful, amazing dog trainers these are your people! You wont be dissapointed !! Thank you for being amazing trainers and helping those dogs in need!

1/2/26 What a gorgeous day; Happy New Year!…read more Service 5/5 Just nail trim and pad hair cut. Marissa is her regular technician and she is great as are all of them. She enjoys Khloe's gentle nature and we like how she cares for her. While I was there, I watched several large breeds being trimmed and was surprised how chill they were. Great training was done with these Dogs. Another came in Heavily matted and looked like another dog by the time we left. The Pet groomers here are friendly, show care for your pets which is why we schedule Marissa faithfully. Best care for your furry kids my Friends-SYOY!

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at the PetSmart on Signal Butte in Mesa…read more I brought my goldendoodle in for grooming, and the groomer told us there was only slight matting behind the ears. Based on that, there was absolutely no reason for my dog to be shaved down this drastically. Not only did they take her extremely short, but they went even shorter than expected without calling to confirm or getting approval--which is completely unacceptable. My mom dropped off the dogs for me, and when I saw the result, I honestly felt horrible. This is not just a "short cut"--it's uneven, way too close to the skin, and not at all what was discussed. If a groomer believes they need to go significantly shorter than planned, the bare minimum is to call the owner and explain the situation before proceeding. I paid $100 for this haircut and feel like my dog was butchered. Grooming requires communication, care, and professionalism, and this experience lacked all three. I will not be returning and would not recommend this location to anyone who cares about how their dog is treated or groomed Attached are two images before the groom

It's been a month since our…read more4-year-old rescue, Angus, completed his 3-week board and train--and we can confidently say we have a completely transformed dog. When we adopted Angus, an American Bulldog, he was extremely reactive, had zero impulse control, and was tough to manage. Walks were stressful--he would bark, lunge, and completely lose it around other dogs. Recall was non-existent, and previous trainers had little success with him. After his time at CharlieBar, everything changed. Angus now walks calmly on a leash, his reactivity has decreased by at least 90%, and he thrives during his daily training sessions at home. The most remarkable part of Ricardo's approach is that it goes beyond basic commands--he teaches dogs how to think, make decisions, and self-correct. It's not just about punishment or praise; it's about helping dogs understand their choices. With a simple "uh uh," Angus now stops, thinks, and chooses better behavior--without fear or confusion. We're beyond grateful for the results and highly recommend CharlieBar to anyone looking to make a lasting difference in their dog's behavior.

We hired Nate to train both of our dogs and paid over $1,000 for the program, which was a significant investment for our family. After the first private session, we were told that one of our dogs was essentially "untrainable," yet no refund or adjustment was offered for that portion of the service. That was our first concern. During the first session, I personally observed handling of my Chihuahua that, in my opinion, was unnecessarily rough and alarming. At one point, the dog was grabbed by the top of the neck and forced to the ground. I understand trainers may use different methods, but this felt excessive and inappropriate to me. Initially, we were hopeful because the first session seemed productive. Unfortunately, things declined quickly afterward. Multiple scheduled sessions were canceled or rescheduled by Nate. After the third change, I called to explain that repeated rescheduling was difficult for our family because both of us had to coordinate time away from work. I also noted that the client cancellation policy appeared much stricter than the flexibility being shown on the business side. During that phone call, Nate became hostile and used disrespectful language. We recorded the conversation after the call escalated. In my opinion, the tone and behavior were unprofessional and concerning. He also accused me of not following through with the training and claimed only my husband had been participating. That was inaccurate. I work from home and was the primary person consistently implementing the training exercises every day. We also attended a group training session where Nate brought his girlfriend along with a German Shepherd. She was never introduced, no explanation was given as to why she was there, and the situation felt awkward and unprofessional. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere for what was supposed to be a structured training environment. Most importantly, the training did not produce the results we were promised despite our consistent effort and compliance with the program instructions. I have since spoken with others who shared similar dissatisfaction, though I can only fully speak to my own experience. My advice to anyone considering group sessions is to stay afterward and speak directly with other clients about their experiences and whether the training has been effective for them. In my opinion, it is valuable to hear honest feedback from others before making further commitments. This review reflects my honest personal experience and opinions. Others may have different results, but based on our experience, I would not recommend this service. If you would like to hear the audio recording of our phone interaction, feel free to reach out to me at Rayrayforthewin66@gmail.com. I strongly encourage anyone considering hiring a trainer to research thoroughly, ask detailed questions about methods, policies, and scheduling expectations, and choose someone whose professionalism and approach make you feel confident.
