Dog parents BEWARE. Everything below occurred during the 1.5…read morehours we actively watched on camera. We brought our dog in for her intro on 1/21/26 at 3:30 PM, recommended by our trainer. Check-in was wonderful: front desk staff were kind, attentive, and genuinely seemed to love dogs. They pulled up the cameras so we could watch while completing paperwork. Our dog was timid at first but began warming up after about 30 minutes. We were told that during the 4 PM break, dogs would be kenneled no more than 15 minutes. Instead, our dog spent about ¾ of her visit locked in a kennel, crying and begging to be let out. While another trainer fully cleaned their room and had dogs back out promptly, our dog's trainer delayed cleaning and only spot-mopped visible messes, pushing the mop over pee puddles and putting it back in the bucket. Dirty mop water was never changed. They use one mop for both clean and dirty water, and the buckets appeared not to have been cleaned in some time. Major safety concern: Mop buckets and spray bottles were left within reach of the dogs. Our dog was left alone in the room multiple times, jumping on kennels and sniffing at chemicals and mop water while unattended. After cleaning, all other dogs were released first. Our dog got ~5 minutes of group play, then 2 minutes of attention, and was placed in a kennel in a second room. She was never let out again until we arrived. Other dogs repeatedly approached her kennel wanting to play. She play-bowed, barked, spun in circles, and cried to be let out. She was ignored. At one point, a trainer was on her phone, leaning against the counter, while responsible for supervising multiple dogs. With this level of inattention, a serious fight or injury feels inevitable. Staff knew our dog is a recent rescue from the county shelter and that our main concern was kennels and barking being triggering. That concern became reality because she was kenneled most of the time she was there. When we reported everything, the front desk staff were genuinely upset and stated they had told the trainer multiple times to let our dog out. Based on their reactions, it appears the trainers involved have known issues. Front desk staff also had camera access, yet no manager checked on the trainers or the new dog. We chose to leave rather than wait to speak with the trainer. This facility charges premium prices so dogs aren't kenneled all day, yet they couldn't keep our dog out of a kennel for even an hour. After pickup, our dog curled into a ball in the car--behavior we hadn't seen since the day we brought her home scared from the shelter. She's normally happy and excited for car rides. A trip to the dog park immediately restored her usual demeanor. They knew we were watching. If this is how dogs are treated when parents are actively monitoring, imagine how dogs are treated when owners are at work. I'm grateful I watched the entire time. Don't learn this lesson the harder way.

If I could give a review for Bill's Mutt House I would in a heartbeat! A little bit about us: we have 3 pups we adopted from a rescue almost 2 years ago, 2 littles and their mom. When we adopted them they all had some form of past trauma, but even with the challenges our pups have, I can confidently say that all the employees who work here are AMAZING with ALL dogs, even ones who need a little more TLC like ours! Our pups have never been boarded or to doggie daycare before, so naturally we were nervous about how they would do at first, but after the initial meet and greet all our worries were gone we could see right away that this place and all the people here are amazing with dogs and passionate about their work. Jonathan was the first employee we met at the meet and greet, he made the initial process easy and seamless. I really appreciate all the time he spent explaining everything in detail, answering all our questions, and bringing other dogs out slowly to get our pups adjusted and see how they did. Jonathan also gave us a tour of the yards and facility, so we got to see the kennel our pups would stay in and feel how great their AC is (which in AZ good AC for fur babies is a must have!) We knew when our nervous reserved boy Apollo attached to Jonathan right away that this was the perfect place with the perfect people While our pups were there, the employees even worked with all 3 of them on leash training and got our boy Apollo a LOT more comfortable on a leash! I was worried Apollo might not be able to work past his trauma with leashes, but having the amazing people at Bills work with him during his stay has helped him improve drastically. The rotation system they use is also wonderful, they put pups in groups that do well together to ensure all the dogs are in a group that fits their individual needs and comfort level (because like us humans, not all dogs get along with eachother ). They rotate the groups outside constantly throughout the day, so every pup gets lots of time outside in the yard to play and socialize. They made sure to put our pups with a calm group so they could ease into this new experience. Another thing I liked is that they post videos on their Instagram several times a day, so while we were out of town we were able to see our babies while they were in the yard playing and socializing I love the fact that we were able to have all 3 of our pups in the same kennel during their stay, so they could sleep together and be more comfortable. They have a wide variety of kennel sizes and can have your pups stay together or separate, depending on what they need and their size. I also really appreciate how transparent they are about their pricing, it was very reasonable and fair, plus there were no hidden fees/costs or anything that suddenly changed at pick up. It was all laid out and explained thoroughly during the meet and greet, and since we were able to have all 3 of our pups in the same kennel we were able to save a little on the daily rate! The wide range of pick up/drop off time is very convenient too. You can drop off and pick up anytime between 7AM - 9PM, which made planning our weekend trip sooooo much easier! Overall we are 1 million % happy with our experience at Bill's Mutt House! It's puppy paradise If you're on the fence about where to go and took the time to read my novel then look no further! I can confidently say beyond a shadow of a doubt that this place is the BEST place for all doggie boarding and daycare needs. Our fur babies deserve the best care, and we will only go here from now on because they are THE best! Thank you again to everyone at Bill's Mutt House, we appreciate the wonderful care you gave our pups and are excited to bring them back for more daycare and boarding visits! I know the pups are excited too The Radke Family
