I've been hearing creepy noises in the walls of my bedroom. It sounds like gnawing or groaning or creaking, but very repetitive and only in the same area of the house - for months now. First I had another service come out and charged $500 to set rat bait stations all around the house - didn't catch any rats inside but I think we fed a whole bunch of neighborhood rats. Sorry for them they ate poison. Still the noises.  I called TCPM and Angel (who is appropriately named), came out and looked and listened but felt certain it wasn't any kind of critter. They easily could've charged a lot of money to set more traps and do an expensive exclusion/rodent proofing and I likely would be having the same problem. I had Total Control Pest Management come out to do an initial inspection. I told them I wanted to start bi-monthly service and set up our first appointment. I told the office that I have a young baby and another young child who both need naps. I was given a window between 10:30-12. I scheduled my whole day around this appointment. The technician never showed or called. I called the office twice and left a message without any call back or answer. This company apparently has a total disregard of people's time. I readjusted my children's nap schedule and my schedule to accommodate this service, and now I am left very inconvenienced. I will now be starting my pest control service search all over again. Angel was our assigned technician when I called about a possible rat/mouse problem in our home. From start to finish he was everything you'd want in a professional - communicative, on-time, polite, and of course knowledgeable. I contacted Total Control after seeing the good Reviews here on Yelp. I'm surprised by how unprofessional the consultation was and I'll Never do business with them. I scheduled for an inspection after one of my employees thought he saw a cockroach in our office's kitchen. I called 2 hours before the appointment and asked Total to tell to their technician that I wanted him to be discreet - I didn't want to unnecessarily upset my entire office about cockroaches before we're even sure there's a problem. The person on the phone assured me that he would contact their worker and that they never discuss treatment with anyone but management. Well, as soon as he walked into our office he announced loudly that he's here about the cockroaches! If that wasn't enough, it actually got worse. He barely glanced around the kitchen, said that he -thinks- he saw signs of them and tried to schedule a fumigation treatment followed by another one 2 weeks later and a quarterly treatment contract. I asked him about alternative methods like Diatomaceous Earth, bait and traps as an alternative and he gave me nonsensical reasons why those are not an option. I'm not against spraying, but he clearly was Not knowledgable about pest control and couldn't answer my questions. On top of everything, he had to step outside to take a personal phone call during the consultation (which only lasted about ten minutes so I'm not sure why the phone call couldn't wait until after that), he only had one business card left that he could give me and it had writing all over it that he'd scribbled out. I guess it's also too much to ask that their employees wear a clean shirt when meeting with first-time customers. I thought for a minute that I was being Punked. So unprofessional. read more

Very professional! I'm bad with names, but a very nice gentleman came out and helped us with our ant problems. They came in a timely manner. They came on time. He sprayed for ants and let me know that he would need to come back to finish the job. We signed up for an annual contract to save a little money on the service. Initial Services are $225 and with the annual contract it was $175 for quarterly visits. But to save a little money I used Yelp deal that gave me $50 for $25 read more

The promised that they could get rid of the problem . After the first week they caught the first gopher and by the next week they caught the mate and that was the end of my problem with gophers. Since we moved in pretty recently, we were shocked to see these little black pellet things appear in our house. We weren't sure of what it was, and decided to get a professional's opinion on what exactly was going on in our home. When I contacted several pest control agencies, Total Control was among the first businesses to contact me back and to make a free investigation appointment. When the time came around, Jose came by our house and quickly got to work. I showed him the crime scene and after looking both there and around the house, he was able to figure out exactly what was in our house- we had mice possibly coming from a hole in the wall under our sink!! After explaining everything such as how mice can get in, what their behavior for savaging was like, and how they could quickly reproduce, Jose told me exactly what he was going to do. These guys are the real deal and super professional. I couldn't get rid of fleas in my 1-bedroom apartment with two kittens. I called them in, and Angel, one of their rockstars, did a flea treatment for us. The fleas were all gone instantly. I highly recommend this company. I discovered I had bats on Saturday April 22, 2022 . I googled bat exclusion and saw the 5 star review for PEST EXPERTS in Santee. On Monday Juan came out and gave me an estimate. It's expensive to reach roofline of second story, at night, after hours, with 2 men - but it was in the ball park of my online research. Tuesday night after my bats flew out, Juan began the exclusion process, blocking potential entry points. Friday morning was another expensive process - removing years of bat droppings in my attic - about 25 pounds of it. 3 men in hazard suits, masks and gloves - a job for pros. They are very professional and did a great job. And I got in under the wire, before the May 1 deadline when it's breeding season and bats can't be excluded.
