This is our family's fave restaurant period. The food is always great. They are super accommodating with my family of 7. Service is fabulous and every server is super friendly and rarely gets anything wrong on an order. The new owner made the right choice in not changing any of the things everyone loves about this restaurant, and so far has only enhanced the atmosphere with some redecorating and building upgrades. I would say this restaurant can be quite noisy but that works out really well for me and my 5 kids. I don't feel like I need to shush my kids during dinner which is such a nice feeling. Absolutely fantastic quick bite to eat. I saw the pastrami sandwich on yelp so I called them and said yes please she said come on down. Is it me and Jacob rolled in and said give me one of those sloppy pastrami sandwiches covered in sauces so she brought lots of side sauce including the world-famous Punkin sauce got a try it. Also had another garlicky sauce chipotle phenomenal Then we had the tricky Dick Fries off menu selection. Come eat at the peppery if you don't mind screaming to have the people your dinning with hear you! They put there customers dining last and the bar first. They let the bar patrons scream, yell, hauler and ruin any Special occasion you might be having. The food is great but the atmosphere absolutely is not worth the food! I've tired different times and days as my wife enjoys there food. I must say that this review hurts me to write. My wife went in to the Peppery yesterday and came home to report that they began charging for an item they've always provided for free. Their bread and dipping sauce is a favorite and one that any restauranteur would consider a lost leader. They have now begun to charge for this item. The unfortunate thing here is that the management is not thinking this through and simply knee jerking to rising costs. People don't like to have things taken away from them and they don't like being nickled-and-dimed. Note to management: Return the free bread and dipping sauce and pretend it was all a bad dream. Instead, raise the menu prices 5% across the board. That is something everyone expects to happen in these times and no one really notices that the $27.95 whatever now costs $28.95 (slightly less than 5% due to rounding - you get the point). read more

Came here on a Saturday night. More servers standing around than actual parties being served, yet had issues with how often the servers actually came to our table. Additionally, the server did not write down a single thing on our order, got our orders wrong, and completely forgot my order as well. Didn't even come up to the table 30 minutes after delivering every one else's food, and didn't think it was weird that I didn't get any actual food. By that time, the restaurant was about to close. Walked up to restaurant and it looked really nice from outside. The interior was just average.wouldn't go on a romantic date here. There are TV's everywhere and the full bar looking bar is only beer and wine. The food is above average. The jambalaya was tasty, but not quite enough seafood in it, the vegetables were less warm than the jambalaya. The bread was fresh and crispy crust. French dip was too salty. We sat next to hallway where you could see kitchen dumping food into garage can. The lady was really nice who served us. I recommend if your just hungry , nothing super special come here. Good place to eat with the family. Overall pretty good atmosphere super sweet and nice waitresses, food is pretty good overall have tried about 70% of the menu. The fried asparagus are unbelievable and what keep me coming back here quite often. Those alone deserve a five star. I'm rating at four for overall. without the Fried asparagus I would come here probably every three months or so. What goes good with blistering hot weather? Blistering hot food. The peppery provided a cool haven from the heat, and at the same time provided excellent food. First up on the table are the Pepper-jack poppers. As one could tell from the name, they are jalapeno poppers, stuffed with Pepper-jack cheese, and then deep-fried. They tasted just as good as normal jalapeno poppers do, but they also have they added flavor of the best cheese ever. Not all the cheese was melted in every popper, but they were amazing nonetheless. I also ordered the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, with a side salad. The salad came out first, and it was the biggest side salad I have ever seen. It tasted good, and they offered a generous dish of dressing on the side. My sandwich was out of this world. After a disappointing soiree with the same type of sandwich at a place that didn't know how to make it recently, this was a much-deserved breath of fresh air. The sandwich was decently sized, and cheese was gushing out of the sides. The meat was tender, and both the meat and cheese were stuffed to the brim. The cheese skirt that the sandwich was wearing had a sprinkle of pepper flakes on it, just in case you needed more of a kick. The sandwich was beyond delicious. They have a beer flight on the menu, but sadly it wasn't much to rave about. Ten beers, and most of them were flat. Overall, this place was pretty good. Came in to The Peppery on a Thursday at 4:30, place had maybe four tables seated and a handful at the bar. No staff acknowledged us when coming in, stood around and waited a bit to be seated and the waitress in our area acted as if we didn't exist. As if we were a bother, coming in before her shift ended. Had we had cash we would have paid for the two beers and left. The food was below subpar and quite bland. The cajun chicken fettuccini (w/GF pasta) was oily, semi cold and chicken was dry. We picked up a beautiful Mother's Day basket this morning and it was perfect! Delicious food, mimosas, yummy desserts and the best part, no cooking required! What a lovely idea! Great food, good selection, friendly server, excellent price. This was our first time at this restaurant driving through town, and we were very happy at the experience. I was the sole vegetarian in our group of nine people, and was delighted to find out that they actually had a veggie burger that they could make any of the 'hamburger' listed sandwiches with. Make sure you ask because the veggie burger is not listed in the menu. The regular non-veg fare was excellent as well, as I heard from others. My parents would like this place. For me it is mediocre uninspired generic american food. The place has not seen a remodel since...1979, just a guess. Weird bar layout and lights too bright. Just an FYI, the Peppery has just changed ownership July 2021. Sometimes that's a good thing, most times not. I had the special, a Southwest burger, and it was delicious. My wife always gets the fish tacos and she was super disappointed. Just scraps of fish, not like before. She talked a friend into ordering them too, and the chef, Scrimpy McScrimperton, was just as frugal with her fish as he was with my wife's. read more

Great chowder, sandwiches, and salads. The pasta was quite disappointing. It was served luke warm and lacked in flavor. The sauce seemed to come straight from a can of diced stewed tomatoes and the chicken was dry and possibly from yesterday's BBQ. Went there two days ago for dinner. Nothing to write home about. The food came out really fast and I don't think that's a good thing. My son did not like the burger and he eats burgers in every restaurant. I found that odd so I tasted it and found that it did not taste fresh at all, kinda tasted like it's been sitting there for a while. Love this place! This is our must stop place when we are headed home from our long day of snowboarding at dodge ridge. I always order their Steak and Avocado Salad. All their salad dressings are delicious. The ranch vinaigrette is delicious. The raspberry vinaigrette is scrumptious. Their dishes are deliciously consistent. They always have a line so be prepared to wait during peak times. Our average wait time from 5pm-7 pm is about 30 minutes. Worth the wait. Can't wait to go back! read more
