The food was OK. We stopped by as we were looking for a place to eat prior to going to the court house. The service was okay. We were seated and asked if we would like a drink. We were given time to look at our menus and we were provided suggestions as to what were the most popular items on the menu. We ordered: Mac n cheese (1/5) - the noodles were over cooked and the flavor wasn't that great. Sweet potatoes fries (5/5) - they were excellent! (per my Mom) Gyro (rotisserie) with side salad (4/5)- the gyro was lacking tzatziki sauce and the pita was a little soggy. The ambience was quiet. No background music which made it awkwardly silent at times. The restaurant reminds me of a home that has been renovated into a restaurant. The waitress must have been the only waitress working that day. She was juggling serving multiple tables and we eventually asked for our food to go as it was talking awhile to get our food. read more

Local small business tucked away in the cute town of Sonora CA! When you pass by this local restaurant the parking lot always has cars in it, so long as they are open. Cute decor inside that depicts their Mediterranean style. The service is impeccable! My glass was never less than half full before a waitress arrived to fill it again without my needing to ask for it. The food portions are extremely generous! I had the biscuits and gravy with two eggs, two sausage links and hash browns. The biscuits are homemade and a definite must try. The gravy is not homemade. It was not bad but would have been better if it were homemade. My date had three egg all meat Omlette with hash browns and a fresh homemade biscuit. We both really liked our good and were astonished at the large portions. We drank water and with our tip it was about $46. Not cheap but hey nothing is nowadays! There is a handicap parking right next to the entrance to the restaurant. This is helpful if that is something you need. Lots of parking available in a private lot. early morning departure from the motel before heading to dodge ridge for a ski session...willow wisp cafe open at 6am for breakfast...friendly local restaurant right off the 108 located in east sonora...convenient stop for breakfast for travelers...seated right away and menu provided...some children/senior menu options along with the regular classic favorites for adults...taking coffee for adults first at $3.75 each...endless refills and service is excellent...very quick to check and refill...one child took the 2 chocolate pancakes $7.95...other taking the 1 pancake, 1 meat and 1 egg special for $9.50...selecting bacon and scrambled egg...pancakes were fluffy and good...bacon was crispy and eggs scrambled nicely...no complaints from the children and gobbled it up...self taking the french toast meal $14.95 and taking scrambled eggs and bacon...bacon was immediately taken by my child and consumed...didn't even get a bite...must have been perfectly crispy...eggs were decent and french toast was perfectly fluffy and the right texture...good all around...other adult taking the basic meat & eggs meal $15.95 with wheat toast, cup of fruit, bacon and scrambled eggs...again, bacon perfectly crispy and eggs all cooked the same...fruit appeared fresh cut...toast was leaning towards burnt and that was the only major flaw in the breakfast....overall, a good breakfast for about $75 total after tax and tip for 2 adults and 2 children...great service and good food... read more

Stopped by here while my car was getting serviced at Subaru and while I was waiting for an appointment at the courthouse. The service was great and food was amazing. A local gem! We were in town for a wedding and even though we already had free breakfast at our hotel, hubby had to come and try based on the reviews! Service was great, all the waitresses were friendly and patient with us while we figured out what to order. Loved that they knew just about everyone who walked in the door. We shared the lamb rotisserie with eggs (added peppers & onions) and upgraded the side with biscuits and gravy. Wow! Lamb gyro and home fries were exploding with flavor! The tzatziki sauce was incredible, house-made for sure and full of fresh herbs! The place itself has lots of interesting decorations. We're visitors from Hawaii and this was our first trip to Sonora, CA. It's a beautiful town and the people are friendly. I love the small town vibe with its quaint shops and restaurants. Our last day there, we stopped at Willow Wisp Cafe for breakfast. Their menu had a great selection of American and Greek foods. I chose the Greek omelette and my husband had the meat omelette. The portions were generous and it was certainly delicious! We saw a group of local sheriffs having breakfast there, too. My husband, being the good guy he is, paid their bill. They came over to our table to thank us. In turn, we thanked them for their service and for putting their lives on the line to keep everyone safe. The restaurant staff are very friendly and polite. My husband and I hope to come back to visit again soon. read more

Oh Man, this place is GREAT! Arrived with my family and dog in tow. We read there was outdoor seating and hoped we could bring our dog back. The hostess couldn't have been kinder. She opened the patio up for us and seated us quickly. It was a very warm morning and the sun was already beating down. The covered patio gave great shade and the surrounding pots filled with mint, herbs, and other plants (not to mention a bathtub filled with water plants and koi) added to a soothing environment. The hummingbird feeders on either side of the patio attracted many birds which was fun to watch. The food arrived promptly and was DELICIOUS! My wife and I got the veggie breakfast skillet with the freshly made biscuits and my daughter got a short stack with sausage. Everything was well made, great ingredients and so tasty. I can always tell if a place is good if there's care for the coffee. This was a super solid cup of coffee, the best I had on our trip. This is mentioned above but it can't be said enough how kind, thoughtful, and attentive the staff are here. Well worth the stop. I wouldn't hesitate to go back, in fact already planning to stop by this weekend when we return our rental car. read more

We called in for a huge group and were seated outside although at split tables (totally fine). Our iced waters got dished out to us super fast too. I would say the other tables of our group didn't get their food as fast as us since we were the first table but that's just what happens when big groups mob small town diners. Can't say much about the ambiance since we were seated outside but it was a lovely day and there was shade provided which was more than enough to feel cool. Moving onto the food! We got the: B.l.a.s.t: 8/10, a simple yet well done BLT with fresh ingredients- I have no complaints. Side of fries: 10/10, these fries are to die for. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and PERFECTLY seasoned. Imagine a Popeyes fry except 10x better, that is what these are. Side salad w Caesar: 8/10, again, the freshness of everything was amazing. The salad had a hefty amount of cracked black pepper and seasonings on top, it created a perfect refreshing bite along with everything else. Cinnamon roll French toast: 9/10, not too cinnamon-y and sweet enough for the syrup to do its thing! A dense/doughy texture that made for a good chew Country fried steak: 8.5/10, my friend got this and said that he scarfed down the whole plate. Tasty but a tad heavy on the stomach! First time here. Ordered three pancakes and bacon. Strange that in addition to our regular knife there was a steak knife on top of the pancakes. Glad we had it as the pancakes were tough and could not cut them with a regular. Plus they were cold and syrup was like water. Won't be going there again read more
