Sunday morning, lots of cars in the parking lot, so we thought we would face a long wait. Not so. Got right in even though they were busy. Coffee and tea right away, order taken a bit later. Food came out after a short wait. Efficient and friendly service. Breakfast menu has lots of variety, including a senior and junior section. I had eggs Benedict with home fries ($15.95), my wife a more modest order. I would have preferred a bit less ham (Canadian bacon?) but that's just me. Home fries - excellent. I'll start this review by stating we went here on Black Friday morning, so they were slammed with customers. Despite this, staff were friendly and attentive. This is your typical, cozy diner and we were lured by the very positive Yelp reviews. My husband chose the meat lover's skillet, and I ordered a half portion of the crunchy French toast (still a generous portion) and a side of patty sausage. Our food came surprisingly fast given how busy they were. My sausage could've been hotter, and it was a little too crispy (again, this may be a function of being really busy). That said, the sausage was bursting full of zesty flavor. I loved the crunchy texture of my French toast, which did arrive hot and with heated syrup (always appreciate this touch). The French toast lacked a punch of flavor (like vanilla, cinnamon or citrus notes)--my only criticism. It may have been eclipsed a bit by the robust flavor of the sausage. I will try the cinnamon roll version next time. My husband loved his meat lover's skillet and practically licked his plate clean. This was an unexpected gem tucked across the street from Safeway. We will definitely be back, likely at a slightly less busy time next visit. read more

The service was friendly and welcoming; the food (breakfast) was good, but that's where an otherwise good review ends. While we were eating, a group of people with two large breed dogs came walking toward the restaurant; I thought to myself, surely they're not going to try and come in with those dogs! But, yes, they did. I get the sense the waitress, a young girl, was a bit hesitant about it, but in the end caved. These were not service dogs, nor would that make a difference. They were two very large breed animals in a small area, and they filled that small area with the smell of dogs. It's remarkable that people can be so arrogant, presumptuous, and inconsiderate, but that is exactly the behavior of these people. I suppose as the culture comes to behave more like animals, we will have to eat with animals more often. Sorry Willow Wisp, this local won't be back, nor will I recommend this establishment. read more

I was visiting friends in the area and they told me about the Willow Wisp. Yum! I had a Greek Gyro and eggs breakfast and it was delicious. My friend had eggs Benedict and it was also wonderful. Try this place and you'll be back again too. read more

Enjoyed an excellent lunch on our way up to Pinecrest Lake. Service was on point--lots of friendly, energetic servers! Eclectic decor. The food was exceptional. We had the hamburger and steak fries off the senior menu and the fried calamari salad. The salad had spring mix lettuce that was very large and tasted very fresh. The calamari, rings and tentacles, was seasoned very nicely! Wish I had room for the root beer float. Primarily a breakfast/lunch place, with every kind of potato--shredded hash browns, cottage potatoes, steak fries, seasoned fries, sweet potato fries, and tater tots! Steak fries are my favorite but would love to try the breakfast potatoes. Don't miss the Greek specialties of gyros, lamb, falafel, and more. We sat indoors but there are several tables under a canopy outdoors. We were very glad we stopped at here. Highly recommend! read more

Brittany is the bombdiggity. $13.00 for a Big Mac meal at Mickey D's! No thanks! Only $15.95 for the biggest burger you've had in forever. The patty is REAL meat and at least 1/2 pd. Yes it comes with seasoned fries for that price. Great fast and smiling service. Brittany is so sweet to me I can't stand it. The Cowboy burger is humongous & highly recommended. If you're looking for a good basic cafe, this is it. The service has always been good (sometimes not quite as friendly as others, but still good service). The food is good and fair for the price. The cafe itslf is very clean and the setting is nice. Overall, you can't go wrong here! read more

We just ate here for the first time. We drive by all the time, but never have stopped in...?! We had breakfast on Saturday. We were promptly seated, where we chose to sit outside. The table were clean, chairs were comfortable. Our server came by to take the drink order soon after we were seated. Our drinks arrived and we gave our server our order. Food arrive somewhat soon.... The quality of the food and presentation was good. I got the Vegetarian Skillet and the BF got the Bacon Skillet. Dining outside for breakfast was refreshing. There is a cover to shield the customers from the sun/weather. The weather was good, and the traffic was not too loud on the road in front. Across the street is Auto Zone, Safeway and Walmart.... I would definitely recommend this restaurant for breakfast; where dining outside or inside it will be a good experience. BTW- the price is right for breakfast! Sorry to have to report that my wife and I were quite disappointed. The scrambled well eggs were as dry as toast, the bacon chewy, not crisp. The feta omelet was short on feta and not well distributed within the omelet. The amount of country potatoes was enormous, way too much. Also, they should fix the pothole out front. read more

This spot was awesome! Got the friendly vibes from everyone. Greeted as we entered, warm smiling faces. What a way to start your day. Now for the food....I ordered the western omelette, home fries and marble rye toast. Wife ordered the chicken fried steak, home fries and biscuits and gravy. For appetizer we ordered the zucchini sticks. The amount of food for the price was insanity. So much food, we couldn't finish. The food quality was great, omelette was fluffy and stuffed with perfect flavors. Chicken fried steak was huge and was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Breading on zucchini was crisp and flavorful. Matched perfect with their ranch sauce. The home fries were crispy and soft inside...perfect. Oh and let's not forget their awesome hollandaise....literally liquid gold. It wasn't scooped out of a huge pot, it was freshly made to order. Wowza! The decor was nice and did I mention that they were super attentive, drinks were never empty and EVERYONE was so helpful. My husband and I love this cafe! We've been here several times and have ordered both breakfast and lunch items. The atmosphere is light and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and always friendly. The service is always wonderful. I have a gluten allergy and am always taken seriously when I tell our waitress. I've never had an issue after eating here. The burgers are awesome (they have gluten free buns and bread)- they're very large and flavorful with lots of fresh toppings. My husband has tried several of the breakfast plates and enjoyed every one and the veggie omelette is a favorite for me. It's a great place to come back to! read more

The restaurant does get busy and there's a good reason why. Excellent food and the staff bust their buns to make sure you have a great meal! If you're there for breakfast try the omelettes. Had lunch here today for first time under the new ownership. We had a chicken gyro and a pita falafel sandwich. Both were stuffed with fresh, tasty ingredients. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. They serve breakfast and lunch from an expansive menu. Like the former Pete's restaurant the menu includes all American fare as well as many Greek options.
