We love this place ... best hamburgers, great salads, wonderful specials. The portions are generous making the meals a good value. The wine list can satisfy the pickiest of palates. The option to sit outside makes this a great choice for summer evening dinners , but indoors is comfortable . It can be a tad loud if it is a busy time of day so for the hearing impaired that could be a challenge but ask if you could sit on the wine side , it is a little quieter. 90% of the time we have GREAT service but on occasion we have had to flag down server for help or to pay . But don't let that small chance deter you , the food will not disappoint. read more

I used to live out here, and my family still does. This was one of my favorite places I used to go. However, I Visited on Mother's Day with my daughter and sister and had a completely different experience. I have a gluten allergy, one daughter has gluten sensitivity, and my other daughter has celiac disease. We informed our waitress that we needed gluten-free options and were told they were out of gluten-free buns but had gluten-free sourdough. After double-checking, the chef confirmed it was gluten-free. Something didn't seem right, so we asked to see the packaging. Wheat was listed as an ingredient. Thankfully, we caught the mistake before eating it. Unfortunately, when our food arrived, two of the gluten-free meals were still served with gluten-containing items, including a flour tortilla and the same bread we'd already identified as not gluten-free. The food itself was actually delicious, and I wish I could leave a more positive review based on that alone. However, for anyone with celiac disease, a gluten allergy, or a serious gluten sensitivity, accurate ingredient information is not optional--it's a health and safety issue. The repeated errors from both the kitchen and serving staff were extremely disappointing and left me with little confidence in their ability to safely accommodate gluten-free guests. read more

Good GRACE if I could give this place 6 stars I would. Everything on their menu is soooo dang good and I've tried just about everything. This time we had some wine as well cups of chili- very meaty and good! I LOVE getting the pesto mozzarella burger with garlic fries but an honorable mention I do also love to get is their salmon sandwhich on an English muffin. It sounds like an odd combination but it's delicious! Don't knock it until you try it! The service is always wonderful the servers are evenly distributed throughout the restaurant and so sweet and able to take care of your section and make sure you have everything you need! Very remarkably great service! The vibe here is busy!! It's the perfect place to have dinner the restaurant has two entrances I suggest parking behind it in the free parking lot so that you can go through the back door, unless you want to try and find somewhere downtown. We arrived at an in-between time, between lunch and dinner, and were seated immediately. We had a fantastic server, who gave a sincere and enthusiastic recommendation when I was torn between two dishes. We started with the brie salad with caramelized apples--an interesting combination. The apples had a dessert-like sweetness, which was odd/unexpected, but the add-on chicken was unbelievably moist and tender. Based on that, I'd highly recommend ordering chicken with any dish here! We also tried the fish and chips, which were perfectly crispy and not at all greasy and the teriyaki chicken sandwich, which was the server's recommendation and absolutely delicious. Beyond the food, the ambiance was wonderful. I especially appreciated the historical touches in the preserved walls and signage, which added so much character to the space. The menu and specials had plenty of tempting options, and prices were decent beside the steak, which was $41 I thought was a bit steep. There was no one at the front desk...staff did see us there as they made eye contact, but went about their business. Arriving around 4, on a Sunday, it was fairly quiet but still had a steady stream of diners. It had a cool interior with a focus on Yosemite images and an exposed brick wall. Service was prompt and we were seated right away along with food arriving quickly. The food itself was good, not great. I ordered the portobello sandwich and the bun wasn't very well toasted and I've had better. The side salad it came with was nice, though, since they added some colorful carrots and tomatoes. Other places will just give you some mixed greens and call it a day. Overall, it was fine-just not super memorable somewhere I'd seek out to go again. We arrived to place an order for their wonderful fish and chips. We ordered then headed over to the outside alley to wait for them to deliver to us. After waiting 40 minutes, my husband ventured into the restaurant to find out what the problem was. He was told that the order had just come up and she was getting ready to bring it to us. They retrieved the order already bagged and he gave them a 25% tip and brought the meal back to me. When we opened the container that held our fish and chips, the fish was very hot and smelled wonderful, but the french fries were room temperature at best except where they had been warmed up by the hot fillet. Needless to say they were soggy and much less appetizing. They had forgotten to put in condiments other than tartar sauce, so I sent my husband back to get malt vinegar and ketchup. When he returned, the small container of malt vinegar only had a tablespoon in it. There was a generous portion of coleslaw, very over dressed. There is a spot to sit outside next to the restaurant, but tables are limited. Literally loved their fries and considered them the best in our region... they were shoestring and no battered... delicious. Went in recently and they changed their fries to some nasty battered fries that are super greasy and rancid tasting. If you're familiar with restaurants, these battered type fries are the absolute lowest quality fries a restaurant can order from the Sysco truck and restaurant food vendors.... From the moment we sat down, she made us feel genuinely welcome--like we were regulars, even though it was our first time there. Hannah was attentive without being overbearing, and somehow managed to be both incredibly efficient and super friendly at the same time.
