The service is my absolute favorite but everytime I've been I've always been around the SWEETEST ladies! I haven't even gotten my food yet and I want to walk out. The service was terrible from the start. We got waved down from across the restaurant to sit down which would have been fine if he said any words to us. But he got to the table before us around a corner, dropped off the menus and kept walking. My dad asked where did he go and he came back around the corner to say "over there with the menus". At first I didn't care until I noticed him smile and ask how others were doing as he walked them to their table. Then the server acknowledged us but passed us to take those same people's orders. I asked about the sides and she kept rushing me asking me how I wanted my eggs. Which whatever until I asked about toast she asked what kind I said "I'm not sure, regular" she got visibly upset and started rushing me again listing types of bread. I wasn't sure if french toast was an option This is my first and last time here. She was able to calmly take the couples order next to us answering all their questions. We came polite and all smiles in unsure why it's so unwelcoming here. I guess if you're coming down from the casino skip this place they don't take kindly to non locals. I'm sure the foods fine. UPDATE AFTER FOOD: Food was good service got better as it got busier maybe they ran out of time to be rude lol. Walked in and immediately sat down which is a nice thing when you show up on a Tuesday morning when most people are at work. Kathy was our server. She was very attentive and even assisted with suggesting the Create breakfast option. This offers smaller servings and the option to choose four selections from a variety list. This was perfect since we weren't sure exactly what we wanted. I would say everything was good but the gem of the breakfast was the biscuits with gravy. I lathered everything in the gravy. The waffle was also very good with a tad bit of sweetness. I wish the restroom had a bit more TLC maybe a few updates would really go a long way. We just ate here for a quick breakfast! We are looking into buying a house in Sonora and my husband mentioned his grandfather used to take him to this restaurant 35 years ago! We swung by today and it was SO SO good. Our waitress was Morgan and she was so sweet, we're from the Bay Area and trust me.., we do NOT get good genuine service like that ANYWHERE. So refreshing. So this review is based off of this incident only. We have eaten here many times and the food has always been what you would expect from a diner style restaurant. Yesterday like at least once a week I called to order takeout, When the gentleman (and I use that word lightly) answered the phone he was very rude. I asked to place a to go order and was told "We are to busy to mess with to go orders" Well we usually either order out from here or eat in at least once a week. Four of us went to Barrow's for lunch. The restruant was full when we entered with several others waiting. We gave our name and we're seated fairly quickly. We were seated in a comfortable booth. Our drink order was taken quickly and our drinks brought. The menu has a lot of choices. Once we placed our order we didn't have to wait long for our food. The corn chips for the nachos are made from real tortillas, not bagged. The nachos had lots of meat, guacamole, cheese and sour cream. The burgers was juicy and cooked as we ordered it. Even though they were super busy, a huge party of 30 came in, we were seated pretty quickly. Our server Sarah was beyond sweet. Super happy and was on it with asking if we wanted certain condiments and if we want more coffee! My husband had the Rancher Skillet which came with a side of Biscuits and gravy which were awesome. We loved this spot! Conveniently located and with ample parking, we needed to stretch our legs and get some good breakfast after driving 2 hours to get to the area. I'm so glad we stopped here - it was one of the first places that came up on our search when we tried to find a good breakfast spot. This is the place you go for a big portion of home cooked food. The ranch is their own recipe, and can be purchased to go. I didn't get a photo of my salad, but it was fresh and had lots of toppings. I wasn't impressed with the mashed potatoes -- they needed more butter and milk, but you can tell they are homemade. This is just my own preference. All our food came as we ordered it -- extra this and that, hold the whatever. Ingredients are generous in that you can easily find lots of bacon and avocado on the burgers, biscuits covered in gravy, and pot pie with chunks of chicken.
