Definitely more pros than cons to this place. Wasn't planning on coming here but ended up working out. More of an up scale modern mexican fusion. Got the chilaquiles. What I liked about it was 1) it came with an egg which doesn't always happen. 2) the chips stayed crispy the entire time. 3) came with a side , for the hash browns and they were super yummy. The two things that I didn't like were more just my preference which were that I kinda like it with more sauce or cheese and I love them they have pickle red onion. Perfection! Start to finish.... sort of.... I'm still drinking! Service - we're treated like kings! Our guy (Ronnie), from Costa Rica, was amazing! Not only did he make this place special, but he was a guide throughout this experience! Thanks! Environment- narrow New York style deli. It's clean with TVs so large for there size that i wanted to order popcorn! Food - If you're not eating here, YOU HATE GREAT FOOD. We almost didn't make it here out of habit! The chilaquiles sauce tasted like pure chiles huajillos that were burned during roasting. it could have used more melted cheese and I should have ordered it without the egg mixed in. The tamales were dry and lacked any serious flavor. The atmosphere is typical for a small Mexican diner . The service was very good. We were immediately greeted by Ronnie and we were excited to try our Margarita flights. My wife loved the cucumber lime, and also Tamarindo Margarita, yet all of the flavors were equally as delicious in my book. Ronnie gifted us with one extra margarita. Topped with the syrup and salt, these fights are perfect staple for a fun time with friends or loved ones. Ronnie mentioned that the beer would take a little more time in order to perfect the flavor, and he wasn't wrong. The bowl was big enough for two people to enjoy across from each other, and the broth was to die for, we enjoyed every bite of the steaming bowl of goodness,. The ambience and the cleanliness were on point, I was jamming out to some great 80s music the whole time. You will definitely see How much love and passion. This diner puts into it experience. I really appreciate their hard work. We loved it so much, that we returned the next day and tried their delicious Chilaquiles, lightly toasted tortillas with a subtle coat of sauce and fresh eggs. Cool little Mexican spot in downtown Sonora. Had a court appearance and had some time to kill so stopped in this place. Quaint, cool place and Eddie, from the D.R., helped me out. Really cool guy. I had an omelette and it was delicious. This is a cool spot to grab a good meal. Super-friendly and good food. Try it out the next time you're in the area. I definitely will. I have been here twice, and both times the food was fresh and delicious, and the service was friendly. I do think that they should clarify on their menu that some items are prepared differently than most customers imagine. For instance, while their "Cheese Enchiladas" are delicious, what you are served is what looks like three soft tacos - each being filled with crumbly Cotija cheese (rather than melted cheese). There is no enchilada sauce on top. However, there is sour cream, chopped tomatoes and fresh slices of avocado (and more Cotija cheese). I wouldn't call these enchilladas, however they are really very tasty. read more

Tried this for the first time as a pickup order today. I ordered Mexican enchiladas (menu states these are three cheese enchiladas and can add chicken for $3 more). Ordered this item as a vegetarian and when my husband got home with the order there was chicken tacos inside - no big deal, we called to let them know the mistake but they told me there is no mistake! That there Mexican Enchiladas look like tacos and come with chicken now??? Umm ok? My husband tried his food as well as the "tacos" we are charged for and said it was mediocre at best. Horrible experience definitely will never try this place again. (Also, my mom just came over had her try the taco enchiladas asked what she thought, she said they aren't great and are definitely tacos NOT enchiladas in any way and she'd be irritated if they tried to serve this mess as enchiladas as well!) read more

The best thing about this place is it's the only restaurant on the main strip that is open past 8:30pm. Beyond that, it's awful. NOT Mexican food. They don't even have refried beans and rice. This is essentially American diner food with an identity crisis. An "al pastor" burrito which was just pork swimming in BBQ sauce, wrapped in a tortilla. Ham sandwiches. A "Mexican burrito" which is a tortilla filled with potatoes. Onion rings as a side for your quesadilla. Worst part is me and my whole crew got mild food poisoning. Had a pretty tasty and very reasonably priced meal at Escondite Delatorre in Sonora last night. My husband had the crispy tacos, which were pretty epic. I had the enchiladas. Not very saucy like most enchiladas, but delicious. Also quite spicy, which I don't mind. So if you don't mind eating out of paper boats with plastic silverware, I recommend you check it out.
