Sierra Smoke BBQ catered for our wedding- we had them do appetizers and a buffet style dinner! And oh man did they deliver! We had the DREAMIEST charcuterie table and the dinner was phenomenal as well- we are still getting compliments on the food and it's been months since the wedding! Kim and Louis were AMAZING to work with as well- very VERY kind people. They were so accommodating of any changes we needed to make and provided options for any dietary restrictions we were watching for! I cannot recommend them enough- they are absolutely worth every penny. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would! read more

Kim, Lois and team were phenomenal for our wedding catering!! From meeting them and getting a 5 star service treatment for our "tasting" to performing at our venue on wedding day. All of it blew us out of the water!!! They were professional, clean and the staff were all so sweet. They went above and beyond with their service. The food. Let me just stop.... Their food was so good our guest asked to go back for seconds. We received so many compliments the night of the night of the wedding and days after. We will definitely be working with them again in the future! Can not give enough thanks to this team. Ps. As bride and groom, we didn't get a chance to experience the apps due to taking pictures, but Kim provided us with pics and videos after so we felt like we didn't miss a beat. Thank you again Kim. We hired Sierra Smoke BBQ for our holiday party this year. It was the best decision I've made all year. Their food was delicious, their presentation amazing, and their service outstanding. The charcuterie board was beautiful and the biggest I've ever seen. If you're looking for an amazing, honest company, I highly recommend Kim and Louis, who own Sierra Smoke BBQ. We've already booked them for our next holiday party and are considering them for our annual picnic. Judi A. Simon, Events Director, Mathiesen Memorial Health Clinic read more

Sierra Smoke BBQ catered my wedding at Camp Sylvester! Kim was so helpful and very kind in all of our communication. It was unseasonably snowy at our April wedding, and even with snow, everything was smooth. The food was delicious, and multiple guests commented on how great everything tasted! The service and staff were also wonderful and professional. I was so grateful we had leftovers that were bagged up and ready to take home. Thank you so much for making such great food!! I would highly recommend Kim and Louis! read more

I have been meaning to do this for awhile now. We got married on 10/14/23 at Gianelli Vineyards in Jamestown and we used Sierra Smoke & BBQ. We had previously been to a wedding that they had catered for and I told my husband (boyfriend at the time) we need them to cater our wedding when it happens! One of the first calls we made after the engagement was to Kim to make sure we got on her books. Such a sweet and genuine lady. She was easy to contact and be in communication with through the entire process. She made sure our day turned out perfect! We had only compliments throughout the entire night about how wonderful, delicious and prepped all the food was. Many compliments on the presentation as well. To this day we still are getting compliments from our guests saying "That was the best "wedding" food we've had" I can't say I disagree! It was wonderful and their entire staff was great and kind to all of our guests. This company is 10/10. Her husband, Louis, had the big cooking barrel on site and that was also very neat to be up top at the Gianelli House getting ready and to see them cooking throughout the day. You two make an amazing couple and an even better duo for a business. Thank you so much again for catering our wedding. We hope to have you cater our next event somewhere down the line. read more

Sierra Smoke BBQ catered our wedding at Camp Sylvester in Pinecrest this October and Kim and Louis were great to work with! Leading up to the wedding, Kim was always available and willing to work with us, providing helpful input and suggestions, and went above and beyond to ensure our guests with dietary restrictions were as equally satisfied as everyone else. The food Sierra Smoke prepared was incredible. From the tri-tip to the red potatoes and vegetables, our guests loved everything, especially our non-California guests who have never had tri-tip before simply fell in love. The buffet was tastefully displayed and they even incorporated edible flowers and eucalyptus, which made it extra special. We didn't get to see the charcuterie board during the cocktail hour, however from what we heard, it was a hit! The staff was wonderful at the wedding and came prepared for anything. There's a reason Sierra Smoke is known as the best caterer in the Sonora area and we highly recommend them for anyone looking for delicious food, a great vendor, attentive service, and a good time. Thank you Sierra Smoke BBQ for providing excellent service and food for our special day! read more

We hired Sierra Smoke BBQ for our wedding weekend at the Pinecrest Chalet and the food was AMAZING! Working with Kim leading up to the wedding was very easy and she had a lot of great input and suggestions based off of my vision and her prior experience at the venue. We had to completely change to a Plan B the week of the wedding due to chances of rain and Kim was able to help arrange for a tent for the smoker to be covered so that our reception could take over the area they were going to use for food prep. We live in Southern California so we never taste tested any food prior to the wedding day and it was seriously SO GOOD. The appetizers were delicious, and the Mac and Cheese bar was a major hit! They stayed with us on property all weekend and served a continental breakfast for guests staying on property the Saturday morning of the wedding and served Sunday morning after brunch as well. Sierra Smoke's buffet table display and decor was so cute and matched our outdoor/rustic theme so perfectly! The Serving staff that helped throughout the weekend were so nice! So many compliments and thanks to Sierra Smoke BBQ for such amazing service and feeding us on the most important day of our lives!! read more

We hired Sierra Smoke to cater our wedding reception and Sunday breakfast and we are so happy. They did a gorgeous charcuterie table for our cocktail hour, our entree was juicy and flavorful chicken and tri-tip, and the mac and cheese bar was a big hit! We also had a smores bar and breakfast the morning after was just what we needed to bring us back to life. All of the food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was beautiful. You can tell that Kim is passionate about what she does and she doesn't cut any corners. Kim is also very pleasant and professional. Thank you so much for a terrific experience on such an important day! read more

I would give them -5stars. (That's NEGATIVE 5 STARS) They do not honor their contract. The contract clearly states a 500.00 non refundable deposit. That's fine. My kids paid them nearly 4,000.00 & had to cancel their wedding twice due to Covid. They would only refund them 2,000.00. How is that fair?? They didn't do A THING for the wedding except hold the date which got cancelled well before the date & they refused to give them their money back. They basically stole money during these hard times we are all living in. I so wish we would have taken them to court. I wouldn't recommend them for ANY event! read more

I would highly recommend Sierra Smoke for any occasion! I helped plan a recent High School Reunion and we decided early on to work with Kim and the team at Sierra Smoke based on a reference we received. Kim helped us throughout our planning to understand how much food we would need and also helped us with all of the details. As our event approached, Kim stayed in close contact with us, making sure we have everything covered. On the day of our event, the food was spectacular. The service during preparation, set up, dinner, and clean up was impeccable. Definitely worth the price and Kim will take care of you!!! read more

We loved Sierra Smoke BBQ! They catered our wedding. It was flawless. The food was delicious, they're easy and pleasant to work with, very quick to respond to any questions I had beforehand, and the presentation looked so nice. Our guests were very happy! I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with this company. They catered my daughter's wedding and the Sierra Smoke team was nothing short of amazing. The owner Kim was a pleasure. She was professional, competent, thorough and went out of her way to ensure success for our special day. She always made me feel that she was working in my best interest and went above and beyond more than once in negotiations. We had requested an upscale menu and come the day of the wedding, I knew that she had delivered. We received countless compliments from guests about the food being the best that they had ever had at any wedding. It was delicious, savory, well seasoned, melt in your mouth...the meats done to perfection. I told Kim the owner that her delicious grilled veggies made me think I could survive as a vegetarian. It's an honor to give them my highest praise. If you can get a booking with them, consider yourself lucky!! Worth every penny. read more

If you are getting married or having an event, book Sierra Smoke! Excellent catering is not just about the food, you have to consider how reliable they are, the quality of staff they bring and the presentation of the food. Sierra Smoke is five stars in all areas. Kim is an excellent communicator through the entire process. They arrive on time and keep your event on schedule. Their staff was awesome with my guests. The food was gorgeous AND they accommodated my very odd request for grilled PB&J sandwiches during the cocktail hour (they were delicious!). People were still raving about how good everything was the next day. I could not recommend the Sierra Smoke BBQ company more! read more

I contracted Sierra Smoke BBQ for a fundraising event hosted at Hurst Ranch in Jamestown, CA. Kim was a breeze to work with, and came to the planning table with suggestions and ideas of how we could stay within budget but still have an amazing spread. She also worked to play up the theme of our event, which I really appreciated. Kim and Louis' team showed up on time on the day of the event (always a positive when event planning), they were extremely friendly, and the best part of all... the food was AMAZING!! Even the way they present the food is beautiful. Not only did I receive wonderful feedback the night of the event, but for weeks following the event, the food was a major highlight of the event. Our event hosted just over 100 guests, Kim and I had prepared for about 120 guests. There was plenty of food for seconds (and thirds), and each item was scrumptious. The mac 'n cheese bar was definitely my personal favorite! I can't thank Sierra Smoke BBQ enough for preparing such wonderful food for our event. It helped to make our event perfect. Thank you Kim and Louis! read more

If I could give Sierra Smoke BBQ 10 stars I would!! Kim, Louis and their team we're amazing. We were so lucky to have been able to book them with only 3 months in advanced for planning our wedding. We faced a lot of challenges with Mother Nature, and Kim was always super calm and was going to make it work no matter what. We were fortunate the rain cleared up and we could see the beautiful spread of charcuterie and the rest of the amazing dinner. We had tri tip, chicken, grilled veggies, red potatoes, raspberry salad and fresh bread. The tri tip and chicken melted in your mouth, everything was so good and the flavors compliments each other so week. We got so many compliments from guests about how amazing our food was. I would highly recommend them for any event! Thanks again Sierra Smoke for all your hard work :) read more

Kim and Louis just catered our 3/14/20 wedding. They were wonderful to work with. Kim was always quick to respond to my questions through email and text. They brought their pristine smoker on site (I think a lot of guests were interested in going out and checking out their smoker), and set up a gorgeous charcuterie table and buffet table. I'm hoping our photographer got some pictures because it was really beautiful. The food was out of this world! We had tri tip, chicken, and a mac and cheese bar (along with salad, veggies, and bread). We got so many compliments from guests on how great the food was!
