Maya is simply the best. Her coordinating skills are fine tuned and I felt incredibly comfortable with her from the minute we met her 10 months before the wedding. She helped create the perfect wedding for us. She has incredible attention to detail and she handled so many things that I'm sure I am not even aware of everything she did behind the scenes. It was flawless. Kris and her staff at Lunch Lady Catering did an amazing job on the menu (see my review on Lunch Lady Catering). The food was perfect!!! Shonna put together a beautiful display of flowers for us. The floral theme was beautifully elegant for our small wedding. I didn't want to let go of my bouquet!!! I would definitely recommend Belles and Whistles for any event (especially a wedding!!!). They took the stress completely out of planning my wedding and allowed me to enjoy every minute of it, from start to finish!

    Hello happily engaged couple, We understand where you are…read moreright now in the process. You're excited about the engagement, and the thought of your upcoming wedding. Congratulations. We also know however, that the more you Google looking for answers, the more questions you have! Even if you have a venue, you now need to worry about seating charts, timelines, hairstylists, weather, forest fires, COVID, cleanup- oh my! "Do I even need a wedding planner?" may even be a question that you are pondering- and that is ok! The good news is, this review that you are reading is the review you need. As partners, we were asking ourselves these same questions. In hindsight, we would have been stupid to not hire Terri/Events Extraordinaire. Should you simply care about the bottom line, then skip the rest of this review and just hire her already! If you are interested to know why, please see below. Although one of us was skeptical in the value of a wedding planner, I can assure you that Terri's actions and efforts were invaluable in making our day perfect. From the very first meeting, we were relieved at the methodic approach Terri takes to wedding planning. Your first meetings are simply getting to know each other and learning what the couple wants to achieve with the wedding. Terri fairly listened to both of our ideas and provided unbiased feedback and guidance. These little nudges compounded to big decisions which encouraged us along the wedding planning process. Speaking of the process, Terri has one. She has timelines, 'day of' agenda's, and planning deadlines that keep not only the couple, but also your vendors on track! Although you may expect the planning process to go smoothly, just as we had, of course life happens. We had a serious issues with one of our main vendors (That we found before working with Terri) the month before the wedding. We promptly referenced Terri's pre-supplied vendor list and found someone who was more budget friendly, that produced fantastic results. Then, just one week before the wedding, the HMUA dropped out (crazy we know!). Terri picked up her personal cell phone that same day, to step in, and spent the evening with us hunting down alternates. To us, Terri felt like another family member with all of the right tools in her tool box to help us navigate the complex nuances of wedding planning. On the day of the wedding, we hardly noticed Terri- and I mean that in a good way! Seamlessly behind the scenes, our wedding day and timeline panned out about as perfect as it could be. This letter is a testament to her process, value, and care in wedding planning. Lina stepped up for us and helped put together a FANTASTIC party. She transformed a businesslike boardroom into a magical place for a ceremony. She provided the tables, chairs, curtains, most of the decorations, and did the floral pieces as well. She coordinated with our vendors and helped make the ceremony and luncheon one that my parents and their guests will remember forever. In addition to all the setup and coordination, she suggested a photo booth that would print out photos right there that all our guests enjoyed. We could not have done it without her and would gladly recommend her to anyone.

We were sold a dream and were left with unlit tacky candles, plastic walls, exposed sand bags and BARE minimum decor. Practically everything she did for us was CHEAP and TACKY. She lied to us about having "a team" when it was just her husband and son that evening. When we reached out for a refund she agreed (clearly she knew she didn't do a good job) but when it was time to pay us she ghosted us for a year despite multiple efforts. Stay far away!!!

My problem was I had no idea if I'd have 30 or 100 guests and I just moved here and had zero connections and a few bad experiences with local companies not calling back. Not long after I handed the planning over to someone who lived 3 hrs away and hoped everything would fall into place. When I went to her showroom months later to pay Genice spent time showing me all the treasures she had to throw parties from vintage crystal luncheon trays to mismatched silverware. I could tell she was someone that truly loved helping others figure out what they like and then gets joy out of helping them make their dreams come true. The night of my birthday party Genice and her team were hired to help serve and clean up. But Genice went beyond this... Several times she was seen scooping someone up by the arm and leading them to the dance floor. She wanted to make sure everyone was having fun. She helped me be a better host which was so unexpected. She has a contagious smile and a warm personality. She has chosen the right business and I wish her all the success in the world.     Where to start!?…read more Well, first of all, this review is far overdue. I had the most beautiful wedding on December 28, 2019. I hired Stephanie and A Daydream Wedding about three months prior to my wedding date. Initially, I thought I would be able to organize the perfect wedding all on my own. I quickly learned that I am not cut out for that and I would need some assistance. I was worried that it was too close to the wedding to hire a planner, at that point. But, I went ahead and emailed ADW and Stephanie PROMPTLY replied to my inquiry. I was communicating with a couple of planners simultaneously so figure out who I felt would be the best match and Stephanie stood out among the rest EXPONENTIALLY! She was so comfortable and easy to talk to right off the bat. She was quick with her responses, and I really felt that it was important to Stephanie to get to know ME and what my personal preferences were. Throughout the entire process, I felt like the services were tailored to me, and I wasn't being served based on some generic template. Everything about Stephanie's services felt so personalized. Let me also mention that I am in remission from leukemia, and I had recently had a bone marrow transplant. So my energy is quite low and my memory is nowhere near "good." Stephanie was so patient with me throughout our time together. She was kind in reminding me of dates and keeping me on track with scheduling, which is SO helpful for someone like me. It was important for me to work with someone understanding and patient, and I found that in Stephanie. Stephanie constantly reassured me that we would be able to work with the time given and she worked extremely hard to find me the best vendors that fit my specific needs and most importantly - BUDGET! Throughout the course of our work together, Stephanie would keep her eye out for decor, desserts, vendors, bridesmaids dresses etc. that would be of interest to me and would text / email suggestions regularly. Even if you have no idea where to start (with anything), Stephanie has a full arsenal of beauticians, DJ's (SHOUT OUT TO DJ BERNIE!), photographers, bakeries, decor rentals... the list goes on! She is well equipped and a true professional in her craft. The day of the wedding, Stephanie was sure to make sure I was thoroughly taken care of. She checked on me throughout the day to ensure all my needs were tended to, she picked up on queues (for instance, she noticed the guests were hounding the head table and had the DJ make a little announcement so my new husband and I could sit to enjoy dinner), and she kept everyone and everything on schedule to the minute! I feel like I can't rave about Stephanie enough. But, hopefully these pictures will help give a clear picture of her hard work and dedication to wedding planning. If you have a dream to create the perfect wedding, whether it be modern, romantic, boho, etc., Stephanie is going to be your secret weapon. I cannot recommend her enough!
