We ended up picking Joleen since she was someone that we were very comfortable talking with and she had an amazing portfolio. Her prices were really reasonable and fit within our budget. We were really happy that she offers an engagement shoot as part of a package since we knew that getting comfortable with your photographer before your wedding day is so important! Joleen offers a great mix of organization and spontaneity. In the case of our engagement shoot, she was up for lots of climbing up and down San Francisco stairs and helped make us comfortable and confident so she could capture us really well. Her final photos for the engagement shoot were wonderful and we knew that she'd do a great job with our wedding day. We had a number of beautiful images to choose from for our save the date, moving announcement, wedding website, family gifts, and even a custom jigsaw puzzle. In the planning of our wedding day, Joleen was very helpful, realistic, and patient with us as we navigated our timeline. She was professional in providing expectations about how long something will take to photograph. She was responsive when it came to all of our questions and helpful in communicating guidance. On the day of the wedding, Joleen was on time and really helpful and flexible during the getting ready process, first look, and couple photos. At the venue, she did a great job orchestrating our bridal party and family photos. Joleen did a great job operating behind the scenes during the ceremony and cocktail hour. She provided the perfect amount of guidance during photo opportunities (like signing the marriage license or during the cake cutting) and was also flexible with impromptu group photos as well as the weather not being able to provide a sunset shot. Her sneak peek photos of our wedding showed her great eye and she finished our entire wedding album a few weeks ahead of schedule which we really appreciated. Dream Killer NO COMMUNICATION…read moreThis woman took pictures of my daughter and her best friend as a memory right after we moved. I waited for weeks for: 1. The bill (we borrowed her mermaid tails and had only paid the deposit) 2. The photos. I never got ANY communication for the balance owed and therefore never paid it. 6 weeks later I contacted her asking for an update on the photos and she said she would send them shortly. 2 weeks later, still NO photos and repeated messages and nonresponse. Finally I posted on Facebook and got a response and she was mad that I had gone that route so she claimed she had already sent the photos without the rest of her payment because she thought for some reason I couldn't pay it. She sent it with a closely cropped image of an email that could have been to anybody and didn't even prove that it had been sent. ALL of our communication had been through Messenger and her email was never sent to me regardless of what her closely cropped message seems to imply. Watch out for this woman she doesn't have your dreams at heart. She is a vindictive liar who only wants to save face when she made a mistake and you tried to figure out how to get it sorted out. BTW I NEVER got my photos.

Turns out…read moreshe lost every one of my wedding photos - and made me actually ask for my deposit back (as if she was doing me a favor). A professional would have offered something - a half hour photo shoot or something to try to get some photos for us. Anything. Just a lot of meaningless words of how "sorry she was and this would never happen again". Turns out, I heard from a friend, that this was NOT THE FIRST time she'd lost someone's precious photos. I asked if she was a photographer and she gave me her rack card. SOLD, the next day I booked her! Not only is she tremendously talented, she is the sweetest soul you will ever meet. From start to finish, we were so pleased with her services. During the wedding Neriah and her assistant walked around with a big smile on their faces. When I received my pictures, I was just floored. I knew that they were going to be good because I already saw her pictures on her website, but our wedding pics just blew everything out of the water. She captured every detail so beautifully. She also did something a little different, she had drone capture our entire wedding attendees and the aerial view of the property. I can't want to see the footage! I'm so grateful I hired Neriah! She is a genuinely kind, wonderful, TALENTED person. If I could hire her to take pictures for every single major (or even minor) life event, I would. We went with Candor for our engagement shoots and wedding photos/videos. These 2 people are not…read moreonly the best photographers but the best people to have around. These 2 have the full package when it comes to what you need from a photographer; Their photos/videos taking skills are top shelf, know how to make people feel comfortable, and are true professionals. Particularly for a wedding, there was something special about them being an in love husband and wife themselves that made them blend in for their shots just a bit more. For our engagement shoot and our wedding, they sent us sneak peak photos and video real within days which we were not asking for or expecting. Those photos, along with the final, could not have been any better! My wife is more of a natural when it comes to getting her photo/video taken but as the groom, J&R gave me and my groomsman a bunch of smiling/posing tips for the wedding day that elevated the photos. So much so, that a lot of our friends were naturally asking for their contact. Lastly, we like J&R so much as humans that we are still texting with them post honeymoon because we legitimately miss hanging out with them. That's how awesome these 2 are.
