    Chocolate cheesecake with toffee crumbles

We got a reservation for a Sunday night and were presented with the Tapas menu. We chose the romaine salad, three steak street tacos, and the crispy pork belly lettuce cups. The romaine had a delicious lemon dressing and manchego cheese, which was simple and underwhelming to look at, but complex and savory to the taste. Next, the pork belly lettuce cups: every one of the elements had their place, from the pork belly and sweet sauce, to the pineapple, to the cashews. The street tacos were delicious with their square flour tortillas, and would have been a star dish anywhere else. They just paled in comparison to the first two dishes. When we finished, we chose a dessert: the chocolate cheesecake with the toffee crumble on top. Oh my gosh, I died and went to heaven. I could have eaten another entire piece on my own if I didn't have dairy issues. We were a bit late to our reservation, but I called to let them know we were running late and they assured us the table was ours for the night. Everyone was friendly and the intimacy of the restaurant was charming. We will be coming back when we're in the area again. We were very satisfied with the price and the amount and quality of the food. I look forward to coming back!

An absolute delight to find a dining experience like this in a small Sierra Nevada town. The vibe is incredible--a few small dining spaces in a converted cabin that's stylish in a low-key way with an open kitchen and a pleasantly loud pop-soul soundtrack. Fantastic front-of-house welcome and interaction. And then there's the food. I had the ahi and watermelon followed by the beet bruschetta and both were perfect for a warm summer night--both with outstanding flavors that exceeded my best-case expectations based on the menu. I wish I weren't just stopping through because I'd really like to explore the rest of the menu.

This place was amazing. I had the smoked and fried pork belly, japenese egg plant tossed In a sweet and sour sauce over farro to die for. Also tried the smoked cauliflower with chili butter and lemon zest. staff was very friendly same with the chef he recommended my meal for me and I was pleasantly pleased will definitely be back.

A new take on food for Twain Harte. Elevating the local cuisine to a new level. Chef Garcia is taking gastro science to a new level in this quaint little town. We started off with the Yellow Fin Crudo and Tomato Golden Beat Bruschetta. Then proceeded to have the Salmon and West Coast crab cake. Along with their Smoked/grilled petite filet. The food was to die for not just with taste but presentation as well. When it comes to the staff, Gio, Tyler and Chef Garcia bring elegance and fine dining to a new level not just for Twain Harte but this whole area. They were very accommodating and friendly. Had great knowledge of the food. And we're welcoming to us as patrons to the restaurant. If I could give this place 10 stars I would

Finally got to come to The Branch in downtown Twain Harte and it did not disappoint. My family decided to do a tasting of a bunch of small plates. The kid loved the Mexican Street Mac. The wife loved the Watermelon + Tender Green Salad. The Ahi Tuna Ceviche was my personal fav. The quality of food was definitely worth the price. I know this place is expensive for Twain Harte but a packed house goes to show you the value you get. The staff were friendly and attentive. Even the Chef thanked the fam for coming in. The restaurant is quaint and has limited seating so get on their email list so you make reservations ASAP! The family is already wanting to go back the next time we can. Since restaurant does limited pop-up events makes it more desirable and makes you feel, when you're able to get a seat, a bit more exclusive experience. Make sure you reserve a table and give The Branch a chance, you won't be disappointed.

This place is amazing!!! Was there for a private party and it did not disappoint. The owner and his staff were great! So much fun. Great music playing, cool location to sit outside and have some drinks. The food was ridiculously good. Couldn't finish all of it and I almost hurt myself trying... it was worth it. After party was music, dancing and great wine. This place is a must! Especially if you want a private venue for a group of friends.

Ask the Community - The Branch

Their website is confusing. There's no regular menu posted, just a sampling menu. Are they open for regular walk-in dining, or is it just catering and private events? Also, how expensive is it, in general?

Hi Jenni, thank you for your question and I'm happy to help! The Branch specializes and focuses on catering (accommodating up to 200 guests) so technically we are caterers as opposed to a traditional restaurant with regularly set hours. We host…

Hello happily engaged couple, We understand where you are…read moreright now in the process. You're excited about the engagement, and the thought of your upcoming wedding. Congratulations. We also know however, that the more you Google looking for answers, the more questions you have! Even if you have a venue, you now need to worry about seating charts, timelines, hairstylists, weather, forest fires, COVID, cleanup- oh my! "Do I even need a wedding planner?" may even be a question that you are pondering- and that is ok! The good news is, this review that you are reading is the review you need. As partners, we were asking ourselves these same questions. In hindsight, we would have been stupid to not hire Terri/Events Extraordinaire. Should you simply care about the bottom line, then skip the rest of this review and just hire her already! If you are interested to know why, please see below. Although one of us was skeptical in the value of a wedding planner, I can assure you that Terri's actions and efforts were invaluable in making our day perfect. From the very first meeting, we were relieved at the methodic approach Terri takes to wedding planning. Your first meetings are simply getting to know each other and learning what the couple wants to achieve with the wedding. Terri fairly listened to both of our ideas and provided unbiased feedback and guidance. These little nudges compounded to big decisions which encouraged us along the wedding planning process. Speaking of the process, Terri has one. She has timelines, 'day of' agenda's, and planning deadlines that keep not only the couple, but also your vendors on track! Although you may expect the planning process to go smoothly, just as we had, of course life happens. We had a serious issues with one of our main vendors (That we found before working with Terri) the month before the wedding. We promptly referenced Terri's pre-supplied vendor list and found someone who was more budget friendly, that produced fantastic results. Then, just one week before the wedding, the HMUA dropped out (crazy we know!). Terri picked up her personal cell phone that same day, to step in, and spent the evening with us hunting down alternates. To us, Terri felt like another family member with all of the right tools in her tool box to help us navigate the complex nuances of wedding planning. On the day of the wedding, we hardly noticed Terri- and I mean that in a good way! Seamlessly behind the scenes, our wedding day and timeline panned out about as perfect as it could be. This letter is a testament to her process, value, and care in wedding planning. We were thankful to have found Terri and now look forward to connecting with her any time we are in the foothills! -Adam & Samantha Klick

I never really understood what a planner would do, but trust me when I say that I would've been completely lost without her! I knew from the very first meeting that she was going to be my calming force for a very stressful day and I was so right! Her value is unmeasurable!! Thank you Terri and team!!

Here's what I wrote to the owners after we left: I cannot express to you how happy we were with our trip and your home was a major part of that! To be honest, the pictures online do not do justice to show the amount of space we had. I LOVED all the labels and how easy it made everything (TVs, refrigerator, garbage, etc.) to use. All of the outlets and modernization in that aspect were awesome. We all had so much fun in the game room and many hours were spent there with our kids. Our son, 8, loves all things video games and it was a treat to show him games we used to play when we were kids. The walk to the lake was easy. And, oh man, that little lake. What an ideal spot for our family. Our youngest is 3 and we felt so comfortable in that environment for all of our kids. We met your neighbor, Doug, and had some good chats with him. What a guy! Your binder with information was heavily used. We managed to get out and about a little bit: Columbia for gold panning, Lyons Reservoir, Fraser Flats, Pinecrest, my husband even made it way up Sonora Pass for a hike in the snow, while we soaked in the 80 degree weather. Unfortunately our fishing skills are lacking and we didn't catch dinner, but we still had fun trying. I will (and already have) share your rental with anyone looking and we hope to be back in the future. Our kids did not want to come home...we took them to Kauai last year and they didn't say that when we left there. Thanks for making such a magical place available to the masses. This is a family vacation we will never forget.

Bring something to float on for a thoroughly relaxing experience! Our family is the outdoor type, but I was surprised how often we gravitated down to the arcade room for some fun competition. The cabin was clean, and everyone said that their beds were comfortable. Everything we needed to cook for a crowd was available including 2 coffee pots to accommodate our caffeine and decaf preferences at the same time. The owner, Eric, did a great job communicating with us and making sure that everything was going well. Neighbors were friendly, too. If you're expecting a luxury hotel with granite counter tops, this is not the place to come. If you want a relaxing, comfortable, and peaceful place to vacation with access to amazing outdoor activities, I definitely recommend this. That being said, let me tell you a few gems that we experienced while we were there... We drove up to Pine Crest Lake (probably about 20-25 minute drive from the cabin) and spent several hours hiking around the lake. There's a nice beach and picnic area, too, if you're not into the hiking. It's a beautiful area that reminded me a lot of Tahoe. We also went to Big Trees (an hour drive from the cabin). The North Grove of the park is impressive, I'm sure, but we drove down to the less travelled South Grove and had a great day of hiking while viewing some amazing trees (up to 25 feet diameter). A third adventure I would highly recommend is the Natural Bridges trail (about half way to Big Trees or 30 min from the cabin). The trail is about 1 mile long and takes you to a stream that goes through a cave. Bring your floaties so that you can float into the cave! What a treat! And a stop in the old gold mining town of Columbia for ice cream on the way home topped the day off. Great family vacation spot! Thanks, Eric!
