I'll be honest--I'd never had musubi before and went in with pretty low-to-moderate expectations…read more Maybe it'd be okay, maybe it'd be just "fine." Spoiler: it was **so** much better than fine. We ordered a few and every single one was absolutely delicious. The rice was perfectly seasoned, the fillings were generous and flavorful. My 8-year-old and even my toddler were obsessed--they couldn't get enough and kept asking for "more!" That's saying something when you've got picky little eaters. The family who runs this pop-up is super warm and friendly. They texted us when our order was ready, which was a huge help with two small kids in tow.

I have visited Dellsubi at events a few times over the years. I have a soft spot for musubi and I…read morelove that they get creative with toppings, sauces, and flavors. I ordered the OG Musubi ($10), Longsiliog Musubi ($11), two regular Thai Teas, and a Green Thai Tea ($9/each). The prices have definitely gone up over the years, inflation is hitting food vendors hard, and if you've seen the price of Spam in stores it's gone from a cheap eat to a pricey treat. The OG Musubi was good, but other than the delicious creamy cilantro sauce that comes with it, there wasn't enough to set it apart from other regular musubi in the area that would make me pay $10 again. The Longsilog Musubi was a fun creative change with Filipino sausage and egg, but fell apart while I was trying to eat it. It was delicious though! The Thai teas were about 12oz of tea (without ice) and were served in convenient bottles- I bought three of these without asking the price because I love Thai tea and I didn't have hands to carry and wanted to throw them in my bag for later. They taste great, and once you pour it into. a cup with ice it's probably equivalent to a 16oz Thai tea anywhere else. My favorite local Thai restaurants charge $5.50-$6.50 for their's and other vendors had supersized drinks for $15 at the same event. Definitely the price of convenience and pop-up pricing. The staff is super friendly though and you can tell they are working hard and want to deliver a delicious product to their customers. I would say there's currently some adjustment going on with inflation and business costs and consumer budgets and perceived value. If your pocket book allows I would still give them a try and right now I'd upgrade for the extra dollar or so for their specialty items versus the OG for something a bit different, it makes it worth the extra price for the creativity and novelty.

I came across edamame under appetizers. Based on the description, I ordered it. I love me some spicy edamame, especially when it's seasoned very well. I got my order to go, got home and when I opened the edamame, it was not what I expected. It was sitting in liquid. The description of the edamame under appetizers says nothing about it being in any kind of liquid or sauce. So I revisited the establishment tonight, which is Friday (the next day). I explained to the employee taking my order what I expected based on the description on the menu and what I got. I even showed her pictures. She said she's never seen edamame made that way (not in sauce) even though there's a picture of it being made that way under their Yelp profile. There was no attempt to rectify the situation so I left it be but it is a bit disheartening to order something with a specific description, then you get home and your order is not what you thought it would be and then there is no recourse provided. Based on this experience, my tip for future patrons is to ensure you get clarification on an item if you are trying it for the first time because it might not come in the same way it is described on the menu. I've been in contact with some very personable employees here who are amazing when it comes to customer service so I will definitely be back. And that salt and pepper shrimp has me in a chokehold LOL. I just wasn't a fan of this experience. But I do recommend this restaurant. Great food, great drinks and great staff!!

Place was completely empty at around 7pm on a Thursday. The guy behind the register was super welcoming, the food area was clean, and the fish looked to be of decent quality (no funky colors with the tuna). I got five proteins since it was only $2 more and made sure to keep the marinated options separate from the fresh ones so I could preserve the individual flavors. I pretty much add everything possible into my bowl, and the person helping me didn't seem to lessen the portions as I kept adding. The bowls here seem wider than other places, so my ingredients didn't seem cramped either. The facility was extremely clean, and since it's nearby I'll probably come back on the off chance I have the urge to get another poke bowl. It's only a couple more dollars than sushi rolls so I guess the price isn't really that bad.

Their calamansinade is one of my favorite drinks and often sells out quickly. I highly recommend the longanisa dumplings, bao tacos, and their signature bánh mì sandwich with bistek or tocino. The bread is made in-house, and you can taste the freshness. Orders can be placed through a self-ordering kiosk. Our server was young and we could tell she hasn't been doing this long, but she put in the most effort to make our meal nice and I was really blown away by how hospitable and happy she was to be there. That is hugely refreshing and so hard to find anywhere today. She brought me a basket to put my purse in under the table because I don't put it on the floor superstitiously. Our water glasses were always full. We were genuinely able to relax and have a nice time. The kitchen, however, had gotten overwhelmed before we got there and my stepdaughter's chicken donburi took over an hour to come out. I really don't want to fault them for that because it was a very busy day, but it might be a good idea to hire an extra line cook for the next big holiday. I'm looking forward to coming back on a regular day because I'm sure it will be 5 stars! The rolls were fantastic and creative (they're labeled on my photos.) I forgot to take a pic of the Osaka roll but it was devoured by my fiancé so it must have been delicious! The miso soup was full of mushrooms and had great umami flavor. The Sake nigiri was some of the freshest I've had recently and was buttery and delicious. Japanese food is my absolute favorite and this place delivered excellent service and flavor.
