Did I just discover the best breakfast burrito place in Elk Grove?! My site crew has been coming here for months and raves about it every time they're back on site. I finally made the trek (is super close). It's located in the parking lot even though Google Maps tells you it's in their admin building. I showed up and was third in line. As soon as I ordered, 7 more cars pulled in. The breakfast burritos are the size of a small baby. They're so big but so good! I had chorizo, mild and no pico. The staff is super nice. Most tacos are $2 on Taco Tuesday! Honestly, the tacos are OK. If you're judging it based on value, it's great and hits the spot. If you're judging it on its own, the meat was a bit dry and crumbly. We tried carne asada, pollo asado, carnitas. The spicy tacos are better tasting and carne asada is the best one we tried. I kept seeing this food truck as I drive on Whitelock (located in CRC-EG parking lot) so I decided to give it a try. No line so it didn't take long to order and get my food. I ordered a taco plate which comes with rice and beans and also 4 tacos for my son. It tasted like a homemade mexican meal. It was good just not great. Me and my son felt there was too much sauce or juice in the tacos which made it a little soggy. And I'm use to either pico de gallo or a some cilantro and onion. For sure, one of the best taco trucks in elk Grove and comparable to LA Tacos. Food is always consistently good and authentic. Love that they include grilled onions and grilled peppers. The workers are super sweet and nice. I see it's a production where he has a screen with live content. Yes it's the 26th.. but respect ya spot and times. The food... Pastor taco was not good.. Chorizo taco was not good. Saw this right outside the Mcdonald's in the afternoon. They let us know that they ran out of nacho ingredients (bummer!) so we got the taco plate ($14) to try. The service was quick since there weren't many orders. It was delicious! The limes were dry but it was fine since there was a sauce on top of the tacos anyway. The meat was juicy and fatty. It's best to eat the tacos quick since the tortilla shells got hard pretty quick. The cheesy beans and rice were delicious and a great pairing. I really like to help small businesses but I hate getting scammed. This afternoon there was no wait, no customers so I went to order a burrito. Man asked if I wanted a regular or super burrito. Man said super burrito had guac, pico, cheese, sour cream, unlike the regular burrito. I proceeded to pay $12 for a super burrito. Growing up in South Sac, I definitely have had my share of good Mexican food and I was soooo glad to find this place so close to where I now live.
