XX Burrito~ OMG best burrito I ever had, instant foodgasm, 100% worth the hype!!!
Rachelle P.

We stopped by their food truck yesterday for lunch and ate at their big covered seating area! Great service! It's located in a truck stop/gas station and VERY popular! We ordered a Regular Quesadilla with Chicken, XX Burrito with Al Pastor and Quesabirrias with Consome. Our 1.5 year old enjoyed her quesadilla after we got her sour cream and hubby said his tacos were very flavorful and the birria was nice and tender! OMG best burrito I ever had, instant foodgasm, 100% worth the hype!!! Let's just say we'll be back for another filling lunch when we're in the area, nice it's not far from Sweet Treats by Jas too! SYOY! :D

Came by on 11/22/25 with my beautiful wife and adorable toddler for a quick lunch at XX Tacos located on Stockton Blvd in Sacramento, CA. When I mean a quick lunch, I mean a quick lunch. They are a Taco Truck parked in the corner of a truck shop, enticing customers from all backgrounds to stop and eat their aromatic tacos and burritos waffling out in the parking lot. The service was reasonably fast, two or three staff members stuffed in a truck, taking and making the orders. I got three birria tacos with consumme. The tacos were meaty and juicy. And the consumme took the taste buds out of this world. We will returning.

I got 3 tacos and a carne asada burrito. The burrito was super duper salty.. it might've been the bacon bits that made it super salty, or maybe the asada as well, not sure. I do like how the tortilla of the burrito was crispy. The tacos were alright.

This food truck is good, with reasonable prices and portions. My son and I ordered an horchata, which was perfect, not too sweet or basic, and with a splash of cinnamon. We ordered quesabirrias, and my son loved them. I thought they had too much cinnamon and spice for my liking. But we also had carne asada and al pastor tacos. Normally I don't care for al pastor, but these were really good! I would go back for this and the horchata. And the asada, I thought needed more seasoning.

Seen this place being advertised on social Medias and tried it out. For tacos: asada and pastor and also a Jamaica pineapple agua. The tacos were okay not something I would come back for to be honest. Their spicy salsa was okay. It was just missing something but their agua was pretty good. Not sure if I'd come back for tbh. I'm sure there are other taco places that are better.

Always drive by so figure I'd try it today. The carne asada needs seasoning. It was dry and didn't have much flavor. Couldn't tell if that was bacon or pre cut bacon bits. Definitely needs more sour cream. Guac and melted cheese on the carne asada fries. The steak. It was decent after adding the grilled onions. Lime and hot salsa. But outside of that. It also lacked flavor. The fries were crisp though. I'll say that part was great.

This truck has super friendly and quick service. It's located at a gas station, but there was lots of space to park. There was no wait when I arrived at 6pm on a Friday. I ordered carne asada street tacos. They give you a choice of salsa and how spicy you'd like it to be. The mild verde salsa was so yummy and was the perfect amount of spice. The meat was flavorful and the tortillas seemed fresh. I'm intrigued by their loaded fries, so I'll be sure to check this truck out again!

Overall: 4.5/5 Food: 4.5 / 5 Price: 4/5 Customer Service: 4/5 This is a pretty solid choice! I came here on a Saturday afternoon and got three Birria tacos and a strawberry Agua Fresca! The tacos were fire! The outer shell is super crispy, the meat is nice and tender, they also serve it with grilled onions and a grilled jalapeño. Please be aware, that jalapeño is nothing to play with! I burnt the hell out of my mouth after I took a bite of the jalapeño, I didn't know it would be that hot! The Agua Fresca was delicious, the tacos were delicious, however, the consommé was lacking. It tasted like regular beef broth with some chopped up, cilantro, and a few herbs. Not a big deal, the tacos made up for that. Super cheesy, and piping hot. Good experience.

Ordered a few of the XX Tacos w/Pastor. They were $4 a taco, they come with a bacon topping. Was suspicious at first, but after trying it, definitely coming back.

My sister and I were trying to find a good taco truck in Sacramento, I think we found it. I seen this taco trucks on TikTok, and was even better when it was close to my sister's house. We ordered a little bit of everything Mulita- 10/10 thinking a small stuffed quesadillas with the meat of your choice, nothing to crazy Street tacos(carne asada)- 10/10 good flavored meat with great tasting salsas. Burrito- 15/10- is the best thing in the menu, I'm not sure exactly was it is but it's fire. XX Taco- 6/10 I wasn't a fan of these. Regular tacos with bacon and cheese crusted tortillas. I felt there was a lot going on. QuesoBirria tacos 8/10- I felt was good but was missing some flavor and the consume felt watered down. Would definitely be back for the burrito A must try

The location on yelp is different than where they currently are, so I suggest look at their IG: XXTACOS for location. The food truck is easy to spot & lots of parking, not in the best area but it's close to Costco on Stockton Blvd. Service was quick & staff were very nice. Overall, this isn't a place I'm going out of my way to go to, but if I'm in the area, I'd try again. 9/10 - Keto Asada Taco: the meat was seasoned nicely & the cheese shell was executed well; everything stayed inside & didn't fall apart easily. Side of grilled onions & jalapeño was a nice touch. 7/10 - XX Fries Asada: the fries were fresh & nothing felt too heavy, but the portion is a bit light; bacon & meat were cut pretty finely & thin, so it didn't give it much texture.

Out on a late night prowl and stumbled by this gem that i always see but never got to try till now Service was great patient with accommodations and answering questions. Very nice and i can tell clean in the truck. Food was made to order so it took about 10mins or so but not a problem with us. Ordered Regular Carne asada fries, 3/5 i wasn't a fan of the fry choice and felt like it needed more cheese. The meat ratio was great tho carne asada burrito, 5/5 big, filling, flavorful. a quesadilla 5/5 smaller than i expected but it was good and melty and plain taco for the kid. 5/5 son said the the meat was good. And he is a picky eater so that's a win

Finally got to try this food truck. I love their menu, it seems pleasing to the eye. I decided to try the XX tacos. They were sooo good. I love the grilled cheese and bacon that's added. I would like to come back and try more items like fries or mulitas. The service was really quick and the staff were kind. I liked that the tacos were packed, they did not skimp on the portions. Meat was cooked perfectly. I will definitely be back.

Of note, the salsa rojo at the self-serve condiment station carries quite the spicy sting. Next is the authenticity; they display their entire cooking process from homemaking the tortillas to serving the tacos fresh off the grill. It's occupied by two employees hustling away and running operations like a well-oiled machine. Despite arriving at the same time as two other customers, I had my order ready in 7 minutes. Last is the value. Part of what made my experience so enjoyable is only paying $12 for 4 exceptional tacos (Zelle accepted). Blink and you'll miss it. One of my gripe is if a place doesn't list their prices so I'm basing off my knowledges from previous reviews and I had assumed the tacos would be $3 each. But onto the food: Asada taco: beef, chewy and tough but substantial Pastor taco + pastor burrito: the best cut of meat. It was hot when I got it and it was very good. Well marinated. Pollo taco: you can probably skip this, the chicken is a little bit plain and dry Vampirio: similar to a tiny quesadilla. Two crispy tortillas with cheese + meat sandwich in between Overall the place is decent if you're getting the pastor meat. I do like the self service but I wish the price of the items were more transparent

At this point it feels like bait and switch -- why put it on the menu if you never have it? The low rating is mainly for the young lady at the register. She was rude, spent the whole time whispering to a guy who works there and laughing while looking at me. Felt disrespected as a customer. Found Beto's down the street instead. Decent food, decent prices, and they actually serve what's on their menu. Won't be back. 2. Short + Punchy No tripas, lengua, or cabeza. Ever. 4 visits in 7 days. Zero times did they have tripas, lengua, or cabeza. Starting to think the menu is false advertising. Register girl was rude too -- whispering + laughing at me with her coworker/BF the whole time. Beto's down the street has better food, better prices, and no attitude. Go there instead. 3. Balanced but Firm Frustrating experience Food here can be okay when they have it, but the inconsistency is a problem. I came 4 times in one week hoping for tripas, lengua, or cabeza and was told they were out every single time. If you don't carry menu items regularly, take them off the menu. Service also needs work. The teen at the register was whispering to another employee and laughing while taking my order. Made me uncomfortable. Beto's down the street doesn't have these issues -- they stock what they advertise and the service is solid.

The burrito was below average in size, had meat covering less than half of it, and contained no sour cream. The portion and overall preparation were nowhere near what I would expect when paying for a carnitas burrito. But the most concerning part was the salsa. It had an extremely strong chemical taste and smell that reminded me of Fabuloso or mop/cleaning solution. It was so unpleasant that I genuinely questioned whether something had gone wrong with the preparation or whether the salsa had somehow come into contact with cleaning chemicals. I cannot say what caused it, but the taste was absolutely disgusting and raised a serious food-safety concern for me. This is why consistency and proper food-handling procedures matter. A restaurant can have a great meal one day and a terrible one the next, but customers shouldn't have to wonder whether something that tastes like cleaning chemicals is safe to eat. I hope management takes this seriously and looks into the preparation, storage, and handling of the salsa and other ingredients. If a product tastes or smells strongly enough like cleaning chemicals that a customer is questioning whether it may be contaminated, that is something that should be investigated--not dismissed. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this burrito. Poor portion, poor execution, and a salsa that raised legitimate food-safety concerns. Consistency and cleanliness should be non-negotiable in a restaurant.

That exact moment Mason floated over to casually ask if we needed anything else. When I said, "Yes, we need the bill--we've been waiting 30 minutes," he helpfully explained that it was my fault for not waving him down to remind him to do his job. To cap off his stellar professionalism, after getting called out for his non-existent service, he sarcastically called me an "array of sunshine."
