Tacos El Alebrije - sin duda lo mejor

Everything about this taco stand embodies excellence. There's of course, the flavor; these are some…read moreof the best al pastor tacos I've ever had. Of note, the salsa rojo at the self-serve condiment station carries quite the spicy sting. Next is the authenticity; they display their entire cooking process from homemaking the tortillas to serving the tacos fresh off the grill. It's occupied by two employees hustling away and running operations like a well-oiled machine. Despite arriving at the same time as two other customers, I had my order ready in 7 minutes. Last is the value. Part of what made my experience so enjoyable is only paying $12 for 4 exceptional tacos (Zelle accepted). Blink and you'll miss it. The stand is set up in the parking lot of a boarded up business immediately off the main road. Get ready to turn right or you'll have to make a U-turn.

Service was fast;however, I was surprised by the price of $33 for 1 pastor burrito, 1 pastor vampirio and 3 tacos. One of my gripe is if a place doesn't list their prices so I'm basing off my knowledges from previous reviews and I had assumed the tacos would be $3 each. But onto the food: Asada taco: beef, chewy and tough but substantial Pastor taco + pastor burrito: the best cut of meat. It was hot when I got it and it was very good. Well marinated. Pollo taco: you can probably skip this, the chicken is a little bit plain and dry Vampirio: similar to a tiny quesadilla. Two crispy tortillas with cheese + meat sandwich in between Overall the place is decent if you're getting the pastor meat. I do like the self service but I wish the price of the items were more transparent

At this point it feels like bait and switch -- why put it on the menu if you never have it? The low rating is mainly for the young lady at the register. She was rude, spent the whole time whispering to a guy who works there and laughing while looking at me. Felt disrespected as a customer. Found Beto's down the street instead. Decent food, decent prices, and they actually serve what's on their menu. Won't be back. 2. Short + Punchy No tripas, lengua, or cabeza. Ever. 4 visits in 7 days. Zero times did they have tripas, lengua, or cabeza. Starting to think the menu is false advertising. Register girl was rude too -- whispering + laughing at me with her coworker/BF the whole time. Beto's down the street has better food, better prices, and no attitude. Go there instead. 3. Balanced but Firm Frustrating experience Food here can be okay when they have it, but the inconsistency is a problem. I came 4 times in one week hoping for tripas, lengua, or cabeza and was told they were out every single time. If you don't carry menu items regularly, take them off the menu. Service also needs work. The teen at the register was whispering to another employee and laughing while taking my order. Made me uncomfortable. Beto's down the street doesn't have these issues -- they stock what they advertise and the service is solid.

Been craving some good street tacos so had to satisfy this craving!…read more First time visiting Taqueria La Nueva Vallarta and had a good experience! It is located at the Northgate area in a shopping plaza so lots of parking spots. Very impressive interior decor! It is very welcoming and visually pleasing! From the ceiling plants and lighting to the wall murals, it feels comfortable and very tidy with lots of dining tables. I ordered for to-go so was actually tempted to stay and eat-in but had to get back to work. For the food, ordered the following: ***All Day Lunch Special $14.55 (credit card) 3 street tacos (2 steaks and 1 chicken) 5/5 With rice and beans includes a drink ***1 Street taco (chicken) $3.38 (credit card) 5/5 The meal was delicious! The street tacos were very tasty and flavorful!! The staff were very courteous, friendly and accommodating. Very good customer service! Will visit again. Highly recommend so check 'em out!

Plenty of free chips and unlimited dips. Hot sauces, salsa are all different flavors and hit the taste buds hard!! Everyone was checking on us every few mins! Felt like we were eating in their home. So loving. Food here always been top notch. We ordered many times (via DoorDash) but sitting there and eating the food was a different vibe. Ordered a few different tacos, tostada and super nachos (with chicken). Their meat was seasoned to perfection. Actual flavors and not just salt. A bit pricey for each taco but the portion of taco is huge and honestly two did the job for me. Give it a try

The burrito was below average in size, had meat covering less than half of it, and contained no sour cream. The portion and overall preparation were nowhere near what I would expect when paying for a carnitas burrito. But the most concerning part was the salsa. It had an extremely strong chemical taste and smell that reminded me of Fabuloso or mop/cleaning solution. It was so unpleasant that I genuinely questioned whether something had gone wrong with the preparation or whether the salsa had somehow come into contact with cleaning chemicals. I cannot say what caused it, but the taste was absolutely disgusting and raised a serious food-safety concern for me. This is why consistency and proper food-handling procedures matter. A restaurant can have a great meal one day and a terrible one the next, but customers shouldn't have to wonder whether something that tastes like cleaning chemicals is safe to eat. I hope management takes this seriously and looks into the preparation, storage, and handling of the salsa and other ingredients. If a product tastes or smells strongly enough like cleaning chemicals that a customer is questioning whether it may be contaminated, that is something that should be investigated--not dismissed. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this burrito. Poor portion, poor execution, and a salsa that raised legitimate food-safety concerns. Consistency and cleanliness should be non-negotiable in a restaurant.

I have thouroughly enjoyed the variety of fresh ingredients and range of syles of food here. The cocktails are a little above a dive bar. Good, but not incredible. I was slightly disappointed by the pastor taco. The meat had been sitting out for awhile and had dried out in the warmer. There are some other interesting options now, like butter chicken. From the moment we sat down with my young son, Mason made it crystal clear that actually waiting on tables was way below his pay grade. After sitting around for over 30 minutes just waiting for a check while Mason was either nowhere to be found or busy socializing with the rest of the staff, we finally gave up and walked toward the front to just pay upfront. That exact moment Mason floated over to casually ask if we needed anything else. When I said, "Yes, we need the bill--we've been waiting 30 minutes," he helpfully explained that it was my fault for not waving him down to remind him to do his job. I let him know right then and there that he wouldn't be receiving a tip for zero effort. To cap off his stellar professionalism, after getting called out for his non-existent service, he sarcastically called me an "array of sunshine." Tipping is a gratuity, so I'll graciously leave this tip instead: stop getting high on the job and treating patrons as a burden just because you have more than one table to serve. The food was good, but Mason's attempt at waiting tables was a complete joke. Next time, hopefully he can summon the Herculean strength required to hand someone a bill--assuming it doesn't conflict with the high horse he rides around expecting tips for a job he can't even be bothered to do.
