Not sure what happened but I was just less impressed this time around. Ordered 2 regular bowls that everything was just okay. Didn't feel like it was amazing. Plus the brown rice I had in my bowl was either old or undercooked. Staff were still nice but the poke was not good. Don't think I'll be coming back for a while.

This place was pretty good. They have a lot of protein options including chicken for those that don't like raw fish. My fish was fresh and the perfect thing to get on a super hot day like today. The service was wonderful. The gentleman helping me was very pleasant and helpful. I elected to eat at the restaurant and he brought me over a pineapple mango dole whip sample and it was soooooooo good. A must try!!!!

I've been here many times since we moved to Elk Grove, and I mainly come for their Fire Poke Nachos. I'll occasionally order the Lobster Roll for my kid. The nachos come with a choice of one protein, and I always choose salmon. They're loaded with spicy tuna, spicy mayo, hot sauce, surimi crab, jalapeños, and habanero masago. I usually remind them to go light on the sauce since there's already plenty. I also like to add furikake, garlic chips, and seaweed on top. I usually order this to go and eat it at home, and it tastes just as good as when eaten fresh at the restaurant. They also offer catering. They catered my friend's husband's 40th birthday party, and the oysters were a big hit. Overall, this is a solid spot for fresh poke especially their Fire Poke Nachos.

I've lessened my visits to poke establishments since I feel the price for poke bowls overall has gotten fairly high, but decided to come back here since they were offering 20% off for Elk Grove restaurant week. Place was completely empty at around 7pm on a Thursday. The guy behind the register was super welcoming, the food area was clean, and the fish looked to be of decent quality (no funky colors with the tuna). I got five proteins since it was only $2 more and made sure to keep the marinated options separate from the fresh ones so I could preserve the individual flavors. I pretty much add everything possible into my bowl, and the person helping me didn't seem to lessen the portions as I kept adding. The bowls here seem wider than other places, so my ingredients didn't seem cramped either. The facility was extremely clean, and since it's nearby I'll probably come back on the off chance I have the urge to get another poke bowl. It's only a couple more dollars than sushi rolls so I guess the price isn't really that bad.

They don't honor their Happy Hour...I got their Aloha Poke Nachos on a Wednesday at 3pm and they didn't give me the 10% off discount and charged me regular price. They also put an overwhelming amount of toppings like seaweed salad and initiation crab to hide the fact that they give you little to no fish. While the worker was slowly scooping the fish in the bowl, he said that he could actually ring me up for it first before he even started making it. Kinda sus if you asked me.... I don't think he wanted me to see him make it. I swear he took some poke out the bowl. When I got it, I tried to look for all the pieces of fish and could barely find any. The amount I got, I could count on one hand...literally only 5 pieces of fish, and I'm being so serious. The wonton chips are super crunchy, like too crunchy. It's hard and hurts to eat because it felt like it was shredding the roof of my mouth. Anyways, I don't think I'll ever come here ever again. Not worth it for the price at all.

Hokee Pokee had their grand reopening yesterday! The outside was decorated with cute balloons and they have a pretty wall for pictures! I visited during lunch at around 12PM and it was busy. I was surprised to see that they were giving 50% off each regular poke bowl, which is why it was so popular that afternoon. I am glad there was a limit to 1 bowl per person because more people can get a change to enjoy the food and not hold up the line with a big order that takes advantage of the deal. The line was almost out the door, but it moved fast because they were well prepared with lots of great, friendly workers. The portions are okay and the fish looked fresh! I should have gotten the spicy salmon and Hawaiian tuna because the seasonings looked delicious and I watched as they restocked it. Since I already said triple scoops of regular salmon and didn't want to mess with the employee's work flow, I decided to stick with my decision. They use an ice cream scooper for the proteins. When the worker was scooping the fish, I noticed sometimes that they did not do full scoops. I'm not the type of person to say anything about it and will take what I can get. They give a good amount of sauce with their pump dispenser. I got ponzu and original shoyu. I heard from the person in front of me that it will cost extra for a third one. For my additional toppings I got edamame, crab salad, masago, cucumber, onions, mac salad, and dried seaweed. The rice was very hot and I feel like I can taste rice vinegar, but I'm not too sure if the acidity is from the ponzu sauce. Overall, the food was pretty good after I mixed everything in. It would have been even better with more salmon, because near the end of the meal all I had was some rice with sauce.

Great poke, great service, Hawaiian Ahi done right, and they serve dole whip! There were a ton of mix ins and choices and the bowls were huge. Don't forget to add the tempura crisps. 10/10

Came here for late lunch with my cousin wanting to explore some new places and it was good! I wouldn't say it's the best poke you could get but I would come back if I was in the area. It seemed a little pricey to me compared to other spots in the greater Sacramento area, but the fish was fresh and tastes good. I had tried the spicy tuna and it wasn't too spicy but had a nice kick. The restaurant was clean and staff were nice. We sat outside since the weather was good.

Atmosphere is cozy and warm, have a photobooth section where you can check in as well ! A lot of FRESH topping for only $35, we have to split it out 2 meals, service is nice, the new owner, Kenneth and his staff are really friendly and passionate about this business. The remake is real and I wish them the best. Highly recommend !

Aunt was craving for some poke after a long road trip. Found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. It was a very quiet evening, but that just means no line. I had to order for everyone since they don't know what they want, 3 regulars. The fish looked fresh and the staff were very patient with our orders as they were preparing for online orders as well. Overall, it wasn't bad. If I were to do it again, I'd have them put less sauce. I was overwhelmed and eventually became too salty for my taste. The fam thought so as well. The ratio between what was given and the price, I thought it was a bit too much - from what I'm used to in LA or Hawaii. $76 for 3 regulars. We could get a nice Chinese family dinner at a restaurant. So this is a one time thing for us.

50% off reg poke bowl at grand re-opening

Been going here for years until one day I showed up and there was a sign on the door that said it was reopening soon under new managment. Nothing on any socials that I could find mentioned it and no hours were updated but I was willing to excuse that. The resturant has a more modern vibe to it now which made me a little sad but still no bid deal. However when i got the 50% poke bowl today at grand reopening I wasn't impressed. They used to measure their fish scoops with a scale. Now they dont and I got way less fish than i'm normally used to. Got maybe 9 edamame beans, hard nearly inedible avocado, and a couple bites of seaweed. On top of that their soda machine is still out of order, and the bottled sodas they have aren't cold either so I had to ask for a cup for ice. The rice and fish tasted alright but the shrimp they use now is tiny comparatively. They also removed yellowtail from the menu. Also kinda sad that they dont seperate the ingredients in the bowl like they used to. I think the old method gave for a nicer eating experience and presentation. Overall its just very different from the hokee poke I used to love and it didnt feel like they were grand opening ready. Ill probably swing by again in a few months to see if anything has improved.

Was feeling adventurous today and decided to try a new spot. Can't believe no one told me about Hokee Pokee! I got the large Ahi bowl with edamame, cucumbers, crab salad, habanero masago with spicy mayo and wasabi breeze. The flavors were wild to say the least! Generous portions! The staff was friendly and relaxed. He explained the process to us very well. The environment is very chill. Also ordered spicy poke nachos to go for the wifey. Can't wait to go back.

Been my poke place all throughout high school and after living in Socal for college, Hokee Poke is still good! I was actually blown away by the price tho...Not even any of the poke places I tried in LA past $20 phew. Serving size filled me and that's another plus!

Ordered the 1 lb of Poke, but they don't really give you an actual 1 pound

The stuff I normally order was not of the same quality. Idk if it's just a different cook or what was going on. The tamarind wings, the wings were oddly shaped and looked like wings were chopped in half or in pieces. No wings, a few drumsticks and some odd nugget sized pieces. This was the first time it has ever been like this. We always order the glass noodles and this time, we did not find little crab chunks like we have in the past. Maybe it was an oversight or forgotten? Flavor was still there but definitely not of the same quality. The Bo Ne was still yummy. Now, the bo tai chanh was so good before, this time there was barely any beef. For the price, and the name of the dish, I expect it to be a lot of beef or at least a decent amount. Instead we got a ton of pickled veggies and onions piled into a mound with some slices of beef hidden in there somewhere. I ate mostly pickled veggies. I am not sure what happened this visit but I couldn't help but feel like cost was being cut or something. The service is slowwwww but not bad at all. The servers get a pass cause they are very nice lol The lemon in our water was discolored/brown skin so we didn't drink it but thankfully I brought my own water.

I loved it just as it ORIGINALLY was, but the upgrades are AMAZING... The main entrance has been totally remodeled and a beautiful bar has been added. They also changed the tv area, in the main entrance, to look like the windows of an airplane instead of playing destinations on the screen, which I LOVED, because it enabled me to see sky views of places I have never and may never visit. They were playing soccer, which I understand, because the world is watching the World Cup. One of my favorite things was the hot, moist hand towels given at the beginning of your meal. I LOVED it. I thought it was so elegant and sopisticated. I am not a fan of washing my hands and then eating from a public restaurant, touch on the door to enter and exit. Now they provide the hand towels at the end of your meal, but this is fine dining, I am not using my hands to eat, and I have a napkin, if needed. So, I would prefer to cleanse my hands at the beginning of my meal. I sat in the newly renovated area which looked like the inside of an airplane. Sooooooooo, DOPE!!! It was BEAUTIFULY done! Felt FIRST CLASS, all the way. The furniture was AMAZING and looked elegant and high class. Some things on the menu had changed, but that is to be expected. My meal was delicious. I loved the free glass of champagne with my 1/2 dozen order of Oysters, which were scrumptious. They also updated their front patio, where after my meal I enjoyed a cigar. Plenty of seating. Every table is covered by HUGE umbrellas. What I thought was cute and unique, when I had finished my meal and paid my bill, I was given a token. There are gift machines inside and on the patio. I really wanted the Unicorn key chain, which I did not win, but I thought it was a nice touch for the kids and the kids at heart with adult wallets. Lol.
