Mandy's is one of my FAVORITE places in the county. We usually go here for breakfast but this time we went for a work lunch. This was my bosses first time at Mandy's and he really loved it and said he would be coming back. I got a club sandwich and fries, my boss got a Ruben Sandwich & Potato Salad. Everything was delicious! You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff is always so friendly and attentive.

Four of us decided to eat here based on the high rankings! We weren't disappointed, everything was awesome. I got the Piled High and it was outstanding. The high ratings are well deserved. Great service and quality food, highly recommend.

Still the best place in Tuolumne county to get breakfast... staff is always friendly and on point. Food is always fresh and good flavor. Best Breakfast around this town period... you won't be disappointed

Delicious and tasty. Lots of great items on their menu. Workers are very down to earth and hard working. There was a 20-30 minute wait. The French toast was super delicious also!

This is the first time I went there. Somehow on sunday, the line is so long. 1) Decor is cute for a small town restaurant. 2) Food is definitely very good 3) Food come out very fast, since I have been waiting for very very long time to get seated, seem that they seem to forget me. I saw people after me, already seated. Then my husband went and ask. They seated me finally after pretty long time. But then again sunday is very busy. That is ok. They said they will "make up to me" by trying to make the food faster. I was super super hungry, not feeling good.

We came here for breakfast while visiting our friends in Twain Hart. We arrived around 10:30am and were told that it would be a 15-20 minute wait for our party 5. We were seated in less than 5! We ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Biscuit Diablo and the Kid's Pancake Breakfast. We also ordered the Hot Chocolate, Peach Iced Tea and coffee. Everything was so good! The Lemon Ricotta pancakes were subtle and fluffy, the Biscuit Diablo had the right amount of heat and smokiness from the chipotle peppers - my daughter loved her breakfast as well. Pancakes were the size of dinner plates! They had so many options that sounded amazing - I'm coming back for their Sour Cherry Pancakes! Staff were super friendly and attentive even though they were packed. The inside had that diner homey feel with plenty of seating and I can't wait to come back next time we're in the area!

I feel like great breakfast spots tend to have a few things in common. They're often off the beaten path with an unassuming exterior, a super cozy and inviting interior (often times with cheesy decor), and friendly staff that are buzzing around to keep everyone's coffee cups filled to the brim. And Mandy's has it all. My friends live in Sonora and while I was in town visiting, one morning we woke up hungover as can be and in dire need of classic breakfast food. Without question, they loaded us up in the car and said we're going to Mandy's. While it was a busy Sunday morning, it didn't take long for us to be seating in a booth tucked away in the back corner... honestly the best place to put us. I won't lie, we were looking pretty dishoveled. Our waitress was quick to take our drink orders as we browsed the menu, which didn't take long at all. I went with an omelet, with extra crispy hashbrowns, and a pancake on the side, with as much coffee as I could take. Our food came out quickly and not a single person at the table hesitated for even a second before diving in. My omelet was fluffy and cheesy and the green peppers inside were cooked just enough. My hash browns were indeed extra crispy and that alone was enough to put a smile on my face. And my pancake was exactly what I needed for "dessert" after my meal. I absolutely understand why this spot has over 450 reviews and a five star rating on Yelp. Everything from the service to the food and atmosphere were top notch. A solid breakfast joint like this isn't always easy to come by. Sonora is lucky to have them. Until next time my friends!

I thought this sign was cute.

I was just a little disappointed in this place - we had a very long wait even on a Monday mid-morning to be seated. Once we got seated the service was good. I'm not a big breakfast fan, but the food was good - not memorable. I might have enjoyed it more but it was pretty crowded & loud. My sister & I were here for her birthday but she wears hearing aids so it was hard to converse. Maybe we'll try again sometime when it's not so crowded. Looks like they have a great reputation.

I've been coming here many years. It's my go to when I'm Sonora or Columbia. Fresh food and great service. Worth the wait even if there's a line out the door. Farmhouse decor.

However, I Visited on Mother's Day with my daughter and sister and had a completely different experience. I have a gluten allergy, one daughter has gluten sensitivity, and my other daughter has celiac disease. We informed our waitress that we needed gluten-free options and were told they were out of gluten-free buns but had gluten-free sourdough. After double-checking, the chef confirmed it was gluten-free. Something didn't seem right, so we asked to see the packaging. Wheat was listed as an ingredient. Thankfully, we caught the mistake before eating it. Unfortunately, when our food arrived, two of the gluten-free meals were still served with gluten-containing items, including a flour tortilla and the same bread we'd already identified as not gluten-free. The food itself was actually delicious, and I wish I could leave a more positive review based on that alone. However, for anyone with celiac disease, a gluten allergy, or a serious gluten sensitivity, accurate ingredient information is not optional--it's a health and safety issue. The repeated errors from both the kitchen and serving staff were extremely disappointing and left me with little confidence in their ability to safely accommodate gluten-free guests.

what a creative menu!…read more I was hungry for a philly cheese, and the "philly cheese please" hit the spot. Soft tender slices of ribeye, paired with grilled onions, grilled red and green bell peppers and a helping of black pepper was great. No sauce to make it messy and paired with garlic truffle fried was fantastic. Since these were shoe string cut, they were crispy and very crunchy. My SO ordred the fondue burger, and this was delicious as well. Warning the hot cheese will burn you, and hot cheese oil. But worth the burn as this smother cheese on a ciabatta bun was great. This was paired with sweet potato fries. These thick cut sweet potatoe fries are only sprinkled with sea salt, they retained the soft and moist texture just prefect. One order of a passion fruit lemonade, was a great balance of sweet and tart, and came in a very large glass. Pleanty of ice to keep it chill and slowly sip through out the meal. The meal a tad heavier than I thought, I finished my philly cheese, but not the fries (a first) The room is very high ceiling and all these great art works, posters and items on all the walls. Their happy hour is DAILY from 14:00-16:00. The restaurant was pretty busy on a Sunday, but we didn't have to wait long for a table. Our server was attentive and friendly. For our cocktails, my friend went with the Huckleberry lemonade, while I went with the pomegranate whiskey sour. She thoroughly enjoyed her cocktail, and so did I. At that price point, I didn't expect much, but it was a solid cocktail, although not as strong as what I'd normally get elsewhere. The clam chowder sounded really good, and I couldn't help myself, so I ordered it. My friend is not a fan of seafood, so the chowder was all for me. The crostini was very nicely toasted and I loved dipping it into the chowder. I was also pleasantly surprised by the flavor and quality of the clam chowder. It was packed with a ton of clams, and was perfectly hearty without being heavy. We opted to share the fallen apple pizza, which was the perfect choice. The dough was pillowy and light, and the toppings delicious. I would have liked more apple slices, as it didn't seem like they were very prominent, and for the balsamic drizzle to be more uniform, but overall it was a solid pizza. I took leftover pizza home, and my husband enjoyed it for dinner. We heated it up in the air fryer and that was the way to go. While it was a little noisy in the restaurant, mainly due to a large group seated next to us, we still had a good experience, and the booth seating was comfy. I would love to bring my husband back to try more happy hour menu items next time we visit Sonora! The price point is seriously hard to beat, and Emberz is a solid spot for hanging out and having a good time.
