Danielle was one of the best servers we have ever had! She didn't rush us she was genuinely interested in our conversation and excellently skilled at her craft of being of service. We so appreciated our dining experience with her. The food was phenomenal. Definitely on par with a Vegas restaurant. We can't wait to come back and we'll definitely be requesting Danielle as our server!

The same leggings I wore my last time to perch lmfao. Ridiculous

Absolutely ridiculous and discriminatory behavior here, wasn't allowed because I was wearing leggings?!!!!!! That's the MOST ridiculous policy I've ever heard in my life. I've worn leggings EVERY other time I've been here. I don't wear jeans. This is SONORA NOT HOLLYWOOD. Lackluster service, rudest most bitter judgy eyed management, and not even good food. Ewh do better please. I saw plenty of hats and men in shirts that weren't button ups. And even women in leggings. And CROCS!!! Why was I not allowed but they were. I should also add, my husband wasn't allowed in because he was wearing a $100 psycho bunny v neck shirt. This place'a dress code IS psychotic

I honestly don't understand the bad reviews, we've dined here three times now and every visit has been a great experience! The food is always cooked to perfection, and the servers are consistently friendly and attentive. We always make reservations and have never had to wait. The ambience is lovely, especially for date nights. The bar menu offers plenty of options, and everything I've tried so far has been delicious (though I can't remember all the names!). My husband and I especially come for their oysters! they're always fresh, flavorful, and a great size compared to other restaurants. They do mention a dress code in the reservation reminders, but it's not too strict. We usually dress up, but we've seen plenty of casually dressed guests and it's totally fine. Overall, highly recommend!

My wife and I hadnt tried the Perch before because they had a stricter dress code. It was worth the wait! I had a steak and fork craser salad. Very good. For my main course I had a ny strip. Very juicy and tender. The service was excellent. I will eat here again.

I made these plants about four weeks prior for Thanksgiving day because I've been to every restaurant in this facility and they have been phenomenal. Reservations are easy to create reminders came up properly to remind me in advance of the dress code and what was expected. We got there checked in with the hostess. She was so cute. Her name was Monica. She was very sweet. Very kind very attentive. The view is $1 million view but I'm a little bit biased. We live in the area and that is my favorite view. I travel all over the United States for work. I've been to multiple places but there's no place like the view you have in Jamestown and Sonora of the hills and just the people in the vibe. Our table was gorgeous our waiter John oh my gosh, she was such a sweetheart. I wish we have socialized all day. It started with our drinks. He made the suggestion the blackbird for a mocktail, my daughter loved it. She's 20 can't drink yet, but it was a beautiful suggestion. In addition we were not only celebrating Thanksgiving that we were celebrating her birthday as well. We ordered the charcuterie board. He asked how we like it served all at once if we want to do it by courses we chose to do it by courses just be advise. This is not sit down eat in one hour and be gone. We start at 4:30. We didn't get out there till seven. We started with our bread so they give you two different breads of focaccia bread, which is phenomenal. Oh my gosh and then like a bread that has seeds in it also really good but my favorite was the focaccia. They also gave us candied bacon with pecans on it chefs kiss to everything and then on top of that we get our charcuterie board, which was phenomenal. Great presentation. Great taste loved everything about it. Wish I got a picture of it. Sorry not sorry. They brought our soups out the French onion came out beautifully done. Great presentation with the cheese on top exactly how you would expect it from a height in restaurant now here's the piece of resistance. They bring out this white egg and take the top off and there's a huge piece of lobster at the bottom of the bowl with some croutons and I'm thinking of myself. OK, where's my best they bring this container and start pouring it into the bowl to bathe the lobster kissing it as though it's a sun kissing the beach and ocean right at sunset. It was a beautiful scene and then they took this beautiful oil. Drizzle a few drops on it. Oh my gosh that lobster bisque. I'm single it's gonna take a very special man to replace that lobster bisque chefs kiss to that too we finished that all the presentation. The delivery was just top notch. They bring out our meal. My dad and I have the Duncan with mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes on top of the stuffing or dressing how you like to call it and a cranberry sauce that have the hint obsessed they just can't place the seasoning my daughter have a Ragu beef hamburger again phenomenal cook excellent taste. Everything was nice warm well presented just a phenomenal meal. I have a chocolate crème brûlée, which was oh my God I can't even describe it. It was heaven on earth tasted like espresso. My daughter and dad shared an apple crisp with a calmer drizzle and they wrote happy birthday among aside for her. They had chocolate spoons for my crème brûlée, and they made her a feather out of chocolate that went on top of the pie detail was phenomenal every detail every attention to detail every piece of this restaurant and the meal very planned out just a great great experience you walk in is gorgeous. It's fresh and it's walking but that's sexy. It's this place where you're like oh my gosh, this is up here in the hills. I mean it really talks sexy to you and the fact that they have these this bar and like this little area where there's like a little display and this little wine area it's just like wow and then you see the view of these beautiful hills as the sun setting and you're watching this in Jamestown and you're thinking this is in my own backyard. Why would I want to travel any places else when I have this beautiful scenery and then just the server John was phenomenal friendly making suggestions had robust conversation regarding wine and food I have not had a waiter like that in a long long time the mail was just out of this world worth the prize would do 100% again highly recommend this would be a great date place for a couple wanting to reconnect. Hopefully someday I will be doing that or for Thanksgiving Christmas dinner or special event check it out it's great then go down and have a drink at one of the two bars there again just a phenomenal experience

The food was amazing. I never knew I loved a flambé ribeye! It is next level. John is the most amazing server. He nailed every part of the experience. From the amuse bouche, candied bacon, to the wine selection (Au Bon Climat) and the hanging flambé tomahawk...it was unforgettable! Can't beat the ambiance on top of the resort. Beautiful views and a gorgeous dining room.

Large party of 10 and they nailed every plate. Everything for everyone was a highlight

Dear Perch Rooftop, I'm in love! lol seriously tho this place is amazing.... I have been craving a fancy restaurant around this area and I have found just that. Service was good but the food was next level. Let me say that again the food was next level. We had a party of 10 and they nailed every plate. Still hard to believe that type of food in this area for a min I thought maybe I was bk in SF at a high end steak house. Amazing food

The only thing you'll be perched on is the edge of your seat, savoring every bite. If you're at Chicken Ranch Casino, Perch is the place to eat. Located on the 9th floor with its gorgeous ambiance, I literally felt like I was in a totally different city. The ribeye steak was perfection--cooked medium rare and the Hama Hama oysters were creamy and delicious. The oysters were the damn size of half my face. The lobster mac and cheese was a bit too salty at first, but shoutout to Amanda (the manager) and John (our awesome server) for making it right. They replaced it without any fuss, and the new one was on point. Great food, friendly service, and a laid-back vibe.

A Perfect Dining Experience at The Perch From the moment we walked in, The Perch at Chicken Ranch delivered an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere was vibrant yet welcoming perfectly blending modern charm with relaxed comfort. The food was absolutely on point every dish was served with precise attention to flavor, temperature, and presentation. You could tell from the first bite that the kitchen takes real pride in their craft. Each plate was bursting with bold, balanced flavors that hit all the right notes. What truly elevated the night, though, was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond genuinely friendly, knowledgeable, and ready with top-tier drink recommendations that paired perfectly with our meals. Their energy and professionalism made the night feel special. And just when we thought it couldn't get better... the dessert was next-level. Rich, decadent, and absolutely worth saving room for it was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. Whether you're a local or just passing through, The Perch is a must-visit. Quality food, standout service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer. Can't wait to come back!

Drove up from Modesto for dinner with the family. From the moment we stepped onto the 9th floor we were extremely impressed. The restaurant was beautiful and decor was done well. Our server was great and very professional. She provided great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. We had the crab cakes (made fresh) and wedge salad to start, both of which were delicious. We then had the filet mignon, lobster, rack of lamb and wagyu burger for dinner. Meats were cooked perfect. The sides were really good (except the gratin potatoes). Our favorites were the lobster mac and cheese, brussel sprouts and fries. Highly recommend this place for a nice upscale dinner.

Ambiance and Customer service is why it gets a 3. Food was bla 1. Ribeye, my meal. It was cooked to perfection. But the meat itself had little to no fat in it and made for a very bland ribeye. For $65 I expect a well marbled steak. I also only had one topping to choose from. Really needs a better selection of meat or a lot more seasoning to pull this off. I didn't finish. 2. Asparagus, Again cooked to perfection. Looked Fantastic. But very Bla tasting. Nothing great about the taste. We didn't finish. 3. Crab Dish, Whatever yellow topping they put on it completely ruined the taste of crab. It was a very weird plate we didn't finish. 4. Potatoes Gratin, Looks great from the top. But it only had a layer of cheese on the top. Under the cheese was like 7 layers of potatoes that had zero flavor. Just thin sliced potatoes cooked with a light cheesy top. Should at least flavor the potatoes or put layers of cheese throughout. We didn't finish 5. Salmon, was kinda odd to get a salmon dish with avocados on the top. The salmon was cooked well but it was a bit fishy tasting. Not bad, this is the only plate that was ok. Also came with skin up and out of the 100 times my wife has ordered salmon around California its never came skin up so that was a little odd as well. 6. Crab Cakes, they were good. But at $27 for two crab cakes a little bigger than silver dollars they had better be so damn delicious we cant stop talking about them. Not the case at all. 7. Lobster Bisque, This was excellent! Highly recommend 8. Bread, Ironic that I would talking about the bread but it really was that good. Loved it. Hate to write this review. This place has so much potential. I feel they are working out the kinks so we will try them again in the future. We knew about 6 of the people working there so it was great to see them and the customer service was awesome. There was zero complaints on anything except the food was just not top tier like the prices they are asking.

I went to the Perch to celebrate my birthday. Serenity was my server. She was so nice, and very thorough explaining all the menu options. She made the dinner special by bringing out small bites. I can't wait to go again to try other options.

    Ribeye with blue cheese crust

First off the food was absolutely amazing. The ribeye was cooked perfectly. But what set this place apart from other restaurants is the Service. Our Server Dusty was so sweet and gave the best service I've ever had at a restaurant. This restaurant is very lucky to have someone that truly cares for their craft. He made my Wife and I our night.

what a creative menu!…read more I was hungry for a philly cheese, and the "philly cheese please" hit the spot. Soft tender slices of ribeye, paired with grilled onions, grilled red and green bell peppers and a helping of black pepper was great. No sauce to make it messy and paired with garlic truffle fried was fantastic. Since these were shoe string cut, they were crispy and very crunchy. My SO ordred the fondue burger, and this was delicious as well. Warning the hot cheese will burn you, and hot cheese oil. But worth the burn as this smother cheese on a ciabatta bun was great. This was paired with sweet potato fries. These thick cut sweet potatoe fries are only sprinkled with sea salt, they retained the soft and moist texture just prefect. One order of a passion fruit lemonade, was a great balance of sweet and tart, and came in a very large glass. Pleanty of ice to keep it chill and slowly sip through out the meal. Their happy hour is DAILY from 14:00-16:00. The restaurant was pretty busy on a Sunday, but we didn't have to wait long for a table. Our server was attentive and friendly. For our cocktails, my friend went with the Huckleberry lemonade, while I went with the pomegranate whiskey sour. She thoroughly enjoyed her cocktail, and so did I. At that price point, I didn't expect much, but it was a solid cocktail, although not as strong as what I'd normally get elsewhere. The clam chowder sounded really good, and I couldn't help myself, so I ordered it. My friend is not a fan of seafood, so the chowder was all for me. The crostini was very nicely toasted and I loved dipping it into the chowder. I was also pleasantly surprised by the flavor and quality of the clam chowder. It was packed with a ton of clams, and was perfectly hearty without being heavy. We opted to share the fallen apple pizza, which was the perfect choice. The dough was pillowy and light, and the toppings delicious. I would have liked more apple slices, as it didn't seem like they were very prominent, and for the balsamic drizzle to be more uniform, but overall it was a solid pizza. I took leftover pizza home, and my husband enjoyed it for dinner. We heated it up in the air fryer and that was the way to go. While it was a little noisy in the restaurant, mainly due to a large group seated next to us, we still had a good experience, and the booth seating was comfy. I would love to bring my husband back to try more happy hour menu items next time we visit Sonora! The price point is seriously hard to beat, and Emberz is a solid spot for hanging out and having a good time.

But when I went with my mom and decided to go for dinner it was a wonderful experience!! The restaurant is a little on the older side and they have really revamped it and turned it into a delicious one!!! We started off with their pot of melted cheese, French bread, and butter yum! The French bread was warm soft and easy to pull apart. We then got the "all day special" where you get to pick a salad or soup, a plate of entrees and a side. My mom LOVES this deal with their salmon and I got the same thing only with italian dressing on my salad. Perhaps next time I will get the bleu cheese like my mom did. Unfortunately they do baked potatoes but not mashed potatoes so I went with the fries. They were a bit thick with ranch. But to my surprise the SALMON! Was not as thin as it was last time it was a wonderful portion, cooked to perfection, and sooooo tasty!!! Now I understand why my mom loves going here often! As for the staff it was wonderful I didn't get her name but our server was an absolute sweetheart she was also ON it! All while having the entire section so we tipped her well! She also knew the menu like the back of her hand which was nice when I hadn't been in so long and had questions about the sides, sauces, etc. lol The vibe is average. It was a regular week day dinner hour and decently packed! That's always good! People working were all very polite and I like how they changed the look of the restaurant by taking down some of the cheesy decorations and leaving up more trendy ones it looks very nice!!! 5 stars well deserved! In the search for something new, don't overlook the local small business restaurants that have lasted over the many years. Gus's steakhouse is one of those businesses. It's family owned for over 45 years, two generations. That's awesome! As a complimentary starter, they provide cheese fondue, sliced bread, and whipped butter. Fondue, don't mind if I do. Rich, smooth, creamy cheese. Bubbling warm over a little steno flame. Lactose intolerant me couldn't resist and tried some. Mmmm. Then they had an all day special two entrees for $32.95. The choices were plentiful. Choose from the likes of sirloin, cheeseburger, salmon, shrimp, chicken Alfredo, chicken parm, chicken piccata... that's just to name a few. The entrees came with side of veggies, baked potato, and soup or salad. Or choose from the regular menu. Plus on Fridays and Saturdays , they offer prime rib. Well I have to come back to try that. We choose the cheeseburger and sirloin. I ordered the sirloin at medium rare. It came out just like I ordered, medium rare. Tender cut. Flavorful. I liked it! Hubs enjoyed his cheeseburger. I took a bite. Mmm. The waitress was super fun and engaging. She chatted about the place and family as we told her it was our first time. We met Gus (the owner) and his son Dino. Both very cool. The waitress was top notch. Excellent customer service. Plus she was stealthy, every time I looked at my iced tea , it was always full. I swear I was drinking it. It's an old school steakhouse. Big upholstered booths that I sink into when I sit down. Not a bad thing. The vibe is casual, low key, and welcoming. Family kiddo friendly. They even have a separate room with a full bar, not open to the kiddos.
