The Bacon Cheeseburger and fries were really good. My Dad had the French Dip sandwich. He said it was really good too. I'll be back again for that Bacon Cheeseburger for sure.

This restaurant is located inside The Black Oak Casino. The place is very nice and clean. We didn't have to wait long to be seated at all and everyone is very friendly - made us feel very welcome! The service overall was outstanding as we kept getting checked back in on and our drinks never got below 1/4 full. They have a pretty expansive menu and everything tastes good. I just wish the cut of the steak for the steak sandwich was a higher quality meat as mine was very fatty and I kept having to chew it many times and even spit a few inedible pieces out which was a shame because the rest of the sandwich tasted great. I love that they offer sweet potato French fries and I got them with a side of ranch dressing - delicious! Overall the sandwich was delicious and the whole experience would have been 5 stars, instead of 4, if the quality and cut of the steak in the sandwich didn't have so much Gristle. Maybe I just got a bad one so I'd give it a try next time since the rest of the sandwich was very tasty!

Waited 15 minutes to he seated and drink orders were taken and recieved. Had to wait atleast 20 minutes or more for waiter to tell us they were short staffed and woyld get to us shortly. Once order was taken food came out promptly. Food was good and a good price. It wasnt that busy abd medium level noise.

We came here after a 2/3 day at Leland Snow Play (strongly suggest for kids who are too scared to ski/snowboard. I'm honestly not sure if I was just SUPER hungry or what, but this place was a lot better than expected. Food: The kids ordered hamburgers, I ordered a Chicken Fried Steak, and the wife ordered Chicken Alfredo. All were good! Not GREAT but good. The pasta was rich and the chicken wasn't overdone. The Chicken Fried steak was well... Chicken fried steak, not sure what you'd want out of it. Service: We waited a while for our server. This is the sole reason we had a -1 star. Originally, I joked it's because we had 8 people and they had already earned their 20% tip. But nope, they were like that with everyone. They came by, introduced themselves, and walked away. I would give them -2 stars for service, but i mean, everything came out hot, just slowly. Cleanliness: The floor was sticky... like REALLY sticky. A little offputting how sticky it was. It was only under my chair which meant that it ended up being the last patron spilled their soda and it was never cleaned. Everything else was very clean though so there's that. Overall the price was okay given the area and the kicker was that we were there on a Sunday and they had a great deal of "buy an entree get a free dessert". We'd probably go back again if we're in the area. It was a good time, a very looong good time.

Way better than I expected! We're staying at the hotel to get up to the Leland snow play area which is about 45 minutes away. We decided to keep is easy and not drive to get dinner tonight, which brings us to the Black Oak Cafe. The hostess was super sweet as was the waitress. They have a $5 kids breakfast menu and $10 kids dinner menu which is perfect for our kiddo, and a a good variety on the menu for adults. Salads, soups, burgers, sandwiches, chicken, steak, and fish entrees, as well as pasta. Reasonably priced, averaging $20 an entree. We got the prime rib French dip (4/5), turkey burger (4/5), and kids cheeseburger meal (4/5). Would recommend to anyone staying here if you're looking for a fuss-free, reasonably-priced meal

Went up and bowled at Black Oak and grabbed lunch at the cafe. Only issue was the smoke drifted in. Bummer. My wife and I split Chicken Curry Sandwich and it was dry. Flavor was good but it was just a little dry. My friend had the Black and Blue Burger and loved it. Looked great. His wife had the Fried Raviolis and they were very good. We all had some and enjoyed them. Our service was very good and the ambience is decent. You don't feel cramped or crowded. I would go back.

My mom and I always stop by this restaurant when we come to Black Oak! The atmosphere is classy and the servers are pleasant. I usually get the Chicken Alfredo or the Tuscan Salmon. The pasta is very savory and creamy and the garlic bread is perfectly toasted, complimenting each other well. The bowl of Clam Chowder is also a pretty hearty portion and is best with some Tabasco (if you've never tried, prepare to be shook!). This last time I went, my mom got the Black Oak breakfast and aside from the fact that it was delicious, there was plenty to take home. Celena was our waitress and she was sweet and helpful. It does seem like this place is a little understaffed, making service consistently slow. Heads up to give this team a little bit of patience, as you take your break from gambling!

Decided to eat here because Seven Sisters was closing by the time we arrived. Quickly seated even on a busy Friday night. The waitress was very nice. Got the fried raviolis for the appetizer was truly surprised on how creamy the cheese inside was they were very good even the dipping sauce it came was good. I ordered county fired steak w/ sides of mashed potatoes, also very good. My BF ordered the linguini pasta which was the special of the month. He enjoyed the seafood that was in it but he said the black color noodles kind of threw him of so he didn't really each too much of it. There's no bathroom inside the restaurant but as soon as you walk out onto the casino floor the restrooms are right across.

My husband…read moreand I are originally from the Bay Area and have enjoyed great restaurants all over the world, so we're picky. Compared to other restaurants in the area, including the casinos, I'd give it a 5, but compared to what The Branch is now versus what it could be, I give it a four. To start, we were seated next to a couple with a cranky, noisy toddler. It's a small space to begin with, so there was no place to move to. Not the fault of the restaurant, but it distracted from our experience. The seasonal menu is balanced and not too ambitious or pretentious. To start we both chose the root salad. It featured a nice mix of fresh and pickled vegetables, but my salad had way too many pickled red onions (which I don't care for) that weighed down the greens. The beet swoosh was delicious and I wish there were more beets in the salad. For mains, my husband selected the rendered duck breast and I opted for the short rib shepherd's pie. The duck gets high marks for being tender and flavorful, however it was slightly overcooked and the skin wasn't crispy. I suspect that it had been cooked sous vide in advance and then finished in a skillet prior to serving. Nothing wrong with that, but it was just past medium. My shepherd's pie featured nice fresh carrots and peas, fork-tender short rib and a too-generous blanket of silky, fluffy mashed potatoes. The sauce, unfortunately, seemed under-seasoned and the mashed potato topping wasn't browned (just piped on top). The dessert (dulce de leche cheesecake) was a bit disappointing. The strong spice level of the crust eclipsed the flavor of the filling. A couple bites were enough for me, but my husband finished the piece. One really picky point: the water glasses are mason jars. In my experience, they develop small chips in the rim with constant use. Sure enough, my glass had a tiny ding in the rim that I had to avoid. I would encourage the restaurant to ditch the cute-quaint jars in favor of tumblers. (And, yes, I did mention this to our server to pass along to management.) Service was attentive, friendly and not intrusive. Prices are in line with our expectations of a nice restaurant. We'll go back in few months to check out the new seasonal menu. Definitely worth a trip!

They post their daily menu to Instagram so I already had a list of what I wanted, but it all looked SO GOOD so we left with much more than originally planned. Bagels: the BEST and I mean BEST sourdough bagels that I've ever had. When others make them a lot of times they turn out too dense, but these were perfectly puffed on the outside, a little tangy, and chewy when you rip into the bite. YUM! Today they had cheddar, plain, and everything. Classic Sourdough: perfectly cooked, perfectly chewy. I've had the cheddar-jalapeño before and it had a great flavor but that loaf was a little too chewy for me. The classic hits just right. They also have flavors like apple cinnamon, garlic, and gouda rosemary... just to name a few. AND they have some gluten-free if that's what you're into or need. It's coming fresh out of the oven regularly. Cookies: don't sleep on the sourdough cookies! They're perfectly chewy, large, and so flavorful. The molasses are my favorite but honorable mentions include snickerdoodle, peanut butter, and chocolate chip. They also have an assortment of cakes - we opted for a huge slice of carrot cake that was a "small" - and desserts. There were cinnamon rolls, tiramisu, and honestly so much more that I blacked out a little and wanted one of everything. All in all, we walked away with a full bag of bread and treats for only $32! They take card and cash. As I mentioned before, be sure to follow their IG @2acrefarms_sonorasourdough for what's offered daily!
