    Wellness margarita

Great atmosphere, good food and decent prices. On a Sunday afternoon, seating for brunch was quick and there wasn't a wait, surprisingly. We sat on the patio and had a nice view of the green. We both ordered the veggie breakfast burrito. It had a lot of roasted cauliflower in it, which was a surprise, as were the chips and salsa it came with. Nonetheless, it was pretty tasty and felt wholesome. Prices were a bit higher than last advertised on their page. We ordered one of the wellness cocktails, which was a nice alternative to alcohol. Our server wasn't very friendly and never came back to check on us so we asked the busser to ring us up, I would like to come back for a patio movie night. Overall a fun spot with pretty good food and beverage options.

The Penmar is really fun to enjoy drinks, music, watch sport games at the bar, and hang out your friends! Free parking. You may have to park nearby and walk 5 minutes. You are greeted with friendly vibes and check your ticket/ give wristbands to enter. It's a big space where you can lay on the lawn with picnic blankets, pillows, your party of 10+. You can find someone blowing bubbles, playing corn hole, eating food, pretty much anything. You can bring your dogs and your own games to play at the lawn. There's also the outdoor stage and the live music is loud enough to project throughout the venue. You can get up close to the stage with your drinks and friends. Everyone is just hanging out and having a fun time. They sell food everywhere. Lots of pizza, burritos, fries and alcohol being served. I would rate 5 but the price point for food is too high to be justifiable in my opinion. It's quite the social scene! It's usually packed. Mostly younger Millennial and Gen Z peeps when I go.

Everything was great from the moment we came in. We were greeted from the jump. Early in the morning, it was quiet. The food was amazing. So hungry I didn't even take a picture. 3 dishes ordered, the breakfast burrito, the green chilaquiles and the beef barbacoa. The drinks made by Elena were Devine. You can tell they were made with love. A key lime martini definitely a must try. A Double shot espresso martini yummy, and a puff puff pass with mescal for those with acquired taste. 2nd time here and they never disappoint. Must try whether you want a bite to eat after a round of golf and just to enjoy a great meal. I say come for both!

Came here October 2025 for the dodgers world series games all games are shown on the jumbotron, with loud audio, plus they have over 20+ tv screens throughout the restaurant and bar area. free large parking lot, great menu, fast service, incredible game stream on the 200 in jumbotron screen. This is a great dodgers sports bar on the westside. Absolutely 10/10 they have dodgers hats, menu concession on the bigger game days as well as the lawn open seating for picnic, dog-friendly and you can even bring lawn chairs. They also show a bunch of sports game throughout the week for a bunch of other sports. The lawn is a great chill area but I dont think you can order a full menu there but you can walk over to the sports bar area to order anything you want.

Stopped in for my first time for brunch because I was really excited to have breakfast right near a golf course in a really tranquil setting. It's attached to a large free parking lot, but it fills up quickly due to the popularity of the public course. The restaurant itself is quite large and they have plenty of indoor seating as well as covered outdoor seating which is where we sat. We had a great view of the practice green as well as one of the holes. Our server was very polite however they were out of power to part of the restaurant so they could not serve any warm drinks so sadly no coffee. We started off with the Raspberry Cruffin and thought it was honestly fantastic. I would highly suggest ordering it if you see it there. It's basically a croissant and muffin combined with raspberry sauce in the middle. For my meal, I chose the Eggs Benedicto which was a chorizo Eggs Benedict. I thought it was very good and I really enjoyed the side fruit. I also ordered a Greek Salad and thought it was pretty good although the portions were a little unbalanced. I wish there would've been more onion and a little more tomato. I would recommend it though if you like those flavors. Overall, a really nice breakfast option in Venice and I do plan to give it another try in the near future.

Oh well well well $30 for a spaghetti and a latte. The meat in the spaghetti bolognese was gross like an uncooked rat with veins poking out just let the pictures speak for themselves. Change in quality is needed (or a massive price decrease) I think it's a non profit for god sakes charging these high prices for this shi is a war crime and all the veterans can attest sheeeyeee goddam! Service is good tho maybe mid actually all the passwords are 1234 lol. Ambiance mid pretty ok. Update: AFTER EATING THAT I VOMITED DON'T EAT HERE

I mean come on! With this steak frites for $20 and the salmon skewers for $15! New menu as of December 2025. Happy hour still from 3-6.

The Penmar is truly my home away from home, and a huge part of that is because of Taylor and Nisandre. Every time I walk in, they treat me like family--warm hellos, inside jokes, the kind of genuine connection you just don't find everywhere. They're not just great at their jobs; they're the heart of the place. Sundays at The Penmar have basically become a tradition. There's no better spot to watch football, hang out, and just enjoy the day. The vibe is always perfect--chill, fun, and full of people you actually want to spend time around. And I will forever stand by this: the Tuna Melt is one of the best things on the menu. I talk about it constantly for a reason. If you want a neighborhood spot where the staff knows you, the food hits every time, and you always walk out happier than you walked in, The Penmar is it. Taylor and Nisandre and Iris and Max make it feel like you're coming back to friends--and that's why I love it so much.

Attended the "Summer Sessions" live music event and had a blast people watching. This is a golfing and dining facility that host a live music event with KCRW. Seen on TikTok from other influencers that this is a happening place to be on a Friday during the late afternoon/early evening. Doors open at 4pm. So from 4pm-5pm are the Early Birds which was us since it was our first time attending. We saw one of the bands load in their gear as we showed the registration kids (literally teenager) our qr codes to get in. Then it's a bag check, followed by a table that you'll stop by and pay the $25 corkage fee if you brought our own alcoholic beverages (two bottle maximum) and then your inside where another teen will ask you if you want a glow in the dark bracelet ( which indicates you are single and ready to mingle). Strolling inside The Penmar you'll see people playing golf, food and drink stations being set up. Then you go to the lawn and lay down your blankets and/or chairs. There are security guards blocking off a lot of the greenery for the golfers. My friends and I got some drinks and ordered the nachos which were a great amount and very delicious. More people arrived and around 6pm the security guards opened up the full lawn for all of us. People ran to lay down their blankets close to the stage. By 7pm the lawn was covered with tons of stylish, jockish and hipster folk. The first band had a country/folk flare. When they finished a dj played some uptempo music, after that the second band was a boy group/yacht rock blend. It was great people watching and hanging out playing Uno with my friends.

Came here for the first time ever last night for Sunset Sessions! It was a cute and bougie vibe and the music they played was fun and eclectic. It was fun to people watch and we got there early to score a blanketed spot on the lawn to people watch. The lines to the bar weren't bad in the beginning, but as more people arrived, it progressively got worse. We met some cool and friendly people there but it would have been great to have met more! Everything was way overpriced with drinks having added fees and the admission fee to get in also being overpriced. I don't think I would go again but it's a good place to check out once to say you did it! The parking lot seemed full when I came but there was ample street parking a block away!

Sunset Sessions is such an experience. Saw tons of people from various Netflix dating shows, the bachelor, etc. Very LA vibes lol. Buy tickets ahead of time, the price goes up by a few bucks the day of. Also pro tip: just pay the $25 corkage fee and bring your own wine. They charge like $18 for a glass of wine. I honestly don't know that I would come back? It's fun but an interesting vibe for sure. Also the quesadillas are delicious BUT they automatically add in gratuity and don't tell you!! so don't tip! My $15 carnitas quesadilla came out to $19 and when i asked why, they said it was for gratuity but then the screen still asks for a tip. They should really tell you beforehand.

    GREAT EAGLES BAR!!! Go Birds!

Awesome Eagles Bar!!! 20ft outdoor jumbotron and plenty of folks from Philly. Pretty darn good Philly Cheesesteak on Amoroso. Go Birds!

When we arrived, the entrance was constantly blocked by the hostess and security chatting. One staff member told me to head to the bar to order, but security then acted like I was doing something wrong. A little communication between staff would go a long way. At the bar, I was skipped twice while waiting to order. When I pointed it out, the bartender told me to "hold on" while assisting a 3rd walk up after me. I asked if we could move to an open table with table service as there were many empty for ghe hour we had already been there and was told no because they were too busy. Fair enough, but that's exactly when management should be visible, coordinating staff and helping guests. Instead, when I spoke with a manager, the response was essentially that he was focused on the bar area. Good management oversees the entire operation, especially during peak periods. I was one of 5 people in our party who spent around $100 on food and drinks (apx $500 spent in total), yet the service was a mess. If it's self-service, that's fine...but make it clear and make it work. Instead, I was skipped at the bar while ordering, staff gave conflicting directions, and there was virtually no support once we had our food. We found ourselves constantly going back and forth to the bar for drinks, utensils, soy sauce, and anything else we needed. No one checked in, and getting help from staff or management was nearly impossible. The food was decent, but the customer experience wasn't. Venice Beach is always busy. This shouldn't come as a surprise. If you're going to market yourself as part of that vibrant community, you need the operational standards to match.

Unfortunately, my experience at Great White in Venice left me disappointed, and the main reason was the service. First, we arrived around 9:15 a.m. after seeing that the restaurant opened at 8:00 a.m., only to find out that opening had been delayed until 9:30 a.m. Honestly, that wasn't a problem at all. We waited outside, and when guests started arriving, we got in line and ended up being among the first few parties seated. The food itself was good, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. My issue was with our server, Nate. I understand that everyone has bad days, and I also work in the hospitality industry, so I try to be very understanding. However, the service felt extremely cold, detached, and uninterested from the beginning to the end of our meal. I'm not expecting over-the-top friendliness or a formal introduction, but there was virtually no warmth, no engagement, and no sense that he wanted to be there. Throughout our visit, an older gentleman working on the floor (possibly a busser or food runner) showed far more hospitality, attentiveness, and genuine care for guests than our actual server did. After we had finished eating, I ordered an orange juice while waiting for some pancakes to-go. I was asked whether I wanted the juice for here or to-go, and I specifically requested it for here. I then waited approximately 30 minutes. During that time, I received my check, paid my bill (including a generous tip), and watched multiple tables that had been seated after us receive their drinks and food while I continued waiting. My server walked by several times, looked in our direction, but never followed up or asked if we were still waiting on anything. Eventually, I flagged down another server, who was very kind and immediately looked into the situation. She returned and explained that the orange juice had apparently never made it onto the screen. However, I had taken a photo of my receipt, and the orange juice was clearly listed and charged. The issue was never the $10 orange juice. Mistakes happen. We all make them. The disappointing part was that nobody simply acknowledged the mistake or offered a sincere apology. A quick "I'm sorry, that was my mistake" would have completely changed the experience. One additional observation: I was told that cash is only accepted if you have the exact amount. That's perfectly fine, but I think that policy should be clearly posted at the entrance or on the restaurant's website so guests know beforehand. Again, I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, and I genuinely wanted to leave a positive one because the food and atmosphere were enjoyable. Unfortunately, hospitality is about more than just delivering food to a table. Based on this experience, it seemed that our server either dislikes working in customer service or was having a very bad day. Either way, many other staff members we interacted with demonstrated the warmth, energy, and hospitality that guests hope to experience when dining out.

The ambiance is beautifully done, modern coastal. Perfect for a comfortable but elevated dinner. We started with the bread service, chili wontons, and gem lettuce. The bread service was my favorite, warm, soft, and the miso butter was divine. The chili wontons were also a standout, especially if you enjoy dim sum. They had great flavor and balance. The gem lettuce was fresh and simple, reminiscent of Jon & Vinny's in the best way. For entrees we had the butter shrimp and Scottish salmon, both really good, no complaints. But honestly the appetizers stole the show for me. Would definitely come back just to try more of the starters. Such a good spot.

My husband and I went to Edgemar for a low key Valentine's dinner. It was our first time here and…read morehonestly probably our last. The space is really nice and the vibe is great. It was a Saturday night and pretty empty, but we did go on the earlier side. Our server was also really friendly and attentive, definitely a highlight. The food just didn't hit for us. The bread service was disappointing and looked nothing like the photos we saw. Not sure if we got the wrong thing, but it wasn't good. The shrimp toast was decent but super heavy. The Caesar was not great, and no one mentioned it comes with whole anchovies on top. I'm fine with anchovy in the dressing, but the actual pieces were a lot. The chicken karaage was okay, again really heavy, but the sauce was the best part. We also tried the taco special which was just alright, nothing memorable. Overall, the vibe and service were good, but the food didn't live up to it. Probably wouldn't come back.

The service is REALLY BAD, it took almost 15min just to get a waiter/waitress (when the place was basically empty). When we finally got one (who I suppose didn't think telling us her name was important at all...), it was as if ordering food from her was a total inconvenience to her day when the place wasn't even crowded... The food was not very good either. The ceviche came out extremely fishy and when I told the server this she did not apologize nor try to make it right and gave us a ton of attitude, verbatim saying "what do you want me to do about it? They can't remake it; it's already made and is too tough for the kitchen to remake" - which tells me they are still feeding fishy ceviche to other people, which is alarming and she acted as if I should just eat it anyways... [this was a younger blonde girl in a hat] very strange behavior and extremely poor hospitality. The drinks are super watered down with too much mixer and hardly any alcohol. My girlfriend's fried chicken sandwich was super dry (she didn't finish it as a result) and my burger was pretty awful with little flavor (and very overcooked/charcoaled). The chicken dippers were ok, nothing special - super overfried to be honest (I guess the sauces were decent tho?). The french fries and broccolini may have been the best parts, which is alarming when the sides are significantly better than the mains (and even they weren't very good and had a TON of salt - the broccolini was the only thing we finished). The chips and guacamole were pretty flavorless and we left most of it uneaten. Overall, again, I recommend AVOIDING this place at all costs despite the appearance of a good ambiance just cause it's near the beach, as YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED and waste your money.

It's clear they've put intentional effort into improving this week, as service was a highlight for us. Our waiter, Sunny, was so polite, quick, and communicative. He had a lot of tables to cover, as it was a packed and chaotic room during the Mexico vs. Ecuador game last night. The N17 burger and fries (both the regular shoe string fries and sweet potato fries) were fantastic! Both were cooked just right, very flavorful, and the fries were nice and crispy. The atmosphere and design of the restaurant in front isn't your typical "sports bar" - it feels more like a cute, sunny brunch restaurant with high-quality screens for sports viewing - but the clientele feels just like any other sports bar would :) It was very lively and fun to watch with others last night. For the World Cup, they've opened up their event space in the back which is not set up like a typical restaurant - but it was great for viewing! The screens are HUGE and very high-quality.

Listen, I understand being busy is one thing but blatantly ignoring paying customers that have been sitting and waiting to be served for 20-30 minutes after only ordering two drinks is strange to me. And then to come back and ask if we wanted to remove the items we already ordered without us having to bring it up just lets me know that you remembered all this time but chose not to serve us until someone had to go ask to be served AGAIN. Even other venues that are 5x bigger than this one have better customer service/attentiveness. We also ordered the bottomless mimosas and only got through 2 bottles because it took them 20 minutes to bring out the first one and another 15 to bring out the second one when it was asked for. And on top of that, they act like they're doing YOU a favor by bringing out the food & drinks that YOU paid for. I have never written a negative review before but this experience was awful; just a waste of money &, what should have been, a good time.
