The Penmar is really fun to enjoy drinks, music, watch sport games at the bar, and hang out your friends! Free parking. You may have to park nearby and walk 5 minutes. You are greeted with friendly vibes and check your ticket/ give wristbands to enter. It's a big space where you can lay on the lawn with picnic blankets, pillows, your party of 10+. You can find someone blowing bubbles, playing corn hole, eating food, pretty much anything. You can bring your dogs and your own games to play at the lawn. There's also the outdoor stage and the live music is loud enough to project throughout the venue. You can get up close to the stage with your drinks and friends. Everyone is just hanging out and having a fun time. They sell food everywhere. Lots of pizza, burritos, fries and alcohol being served. I would rate 5 but the price point for food is too high to be justifiable in my opinion. It's quite the social scene! It's usually packed. Mostly younger Millennial and Gen Z peeps when I go. read more

Great atmosphere, good food and decent prices. On a Sunday afternoon, seating for brunch was quick and there wasn't a wait, surprisingly. We sat on the patio and had a nice view of the green. We both ordered the veggie breakfast burrito. It had a lot of roasted cauliflower in it, which was a surprise, as were the chips and salsa it came with. Nonetheless, it was pretty tasty and felt wholesome. Prices were a bit higher than last advertised on their page. We ordered one of the wellness cocktails, which was a nice alternative to alcohol. Our server wasn't very friendly and never came back to check on us so we asked the busser to ring us up, I would like to come back for a patio movie night. Everything was great from the moment we came in. We were greeted from the jump. Early in the morning, it was quiet. The food was amazing. So hungry I didn't even take a picture. 3 dishes ordered, the breakfast burrito, the green chilaquiles and the beef barbacoa. The drinks made by Elena were Devine. You can tell they were made with love. A key lime martini definitely a must try. A Double shot espresso martini yummy, and a puff puff pass with mescal for those with acquired taste. 2nd time here and they never disappoint. Must try whether you want a bite to eat after a round of golf and just to enjoy a great meal. I say come for both! read more

Came here October 2025 for the dodgers world series games all games are shown on the jumbotron, with loud audio, plus they have over 20+ tv screens throughout the restaurant and bar area. free large parking lot, great menu, fast service, incredible game stream on the 200 in jumbotron screen. This is a great dodgers sports bar on the westside. Absolutely 10/10 they have dodgers hats, menu concession on the bigger game days as well as the lawn open seating for picnic, dog-friendly and you can even bring lawn chairs. They also show a bunch of sports game throughout the week for a bunch of other sports. The lawn is a great chill area but I dont think you can order a full menu there but you can walk over to the sports bar area to order anything you want. read more

Stopped in for my first time for brunch because I was really excited to have breakfast right near a golf course in a really tranquil setting. It's attached to a large free parking lot, but it fills up quickly due to the popularity of the public course. The restaurant itself is quite large and they have plenty of indoor seating as well as covered outdoor seating which is where we sat. We had a great view of the practice green as well as one of the holes. Our server was very polite however they were out of power to part of the restaurant so they could not serve any warm drinks so sadly no coffee. We started off with the Raspberry Cruffin and thought it was honestly fantastic. I would highly suggest ordering it if you see it there. It's basically a croissant and muffin combined with raspberry sauce in the middle. For my meal, I chose the Eggs Benedicto which was a chorizo Eggs Benedict. I thought it was very good and I really enjoyed the side fruit. I also ordered a Greek Salad and thought it was pretty good although the portions were a little unbalanced. I wish there would've been more onion and a little more tomato. I would recommend it though if you like those flavors. Overall, a really nice breakfast option in Venice and I do plan to give it another try in the near future. read more

Decent food and really nice vibes next to a golf course! They have a good amount of parking which I really appreciated and I ordered a chicken quesadilla which was pretty good! The only downside was that they overcharged for my order and I only realized it after I had left. They did end up refunding me for the extra amount. read more

Eh I feel like their Sunset Sessions were overrated. It seems people go there to socialize versus taking in the music. I have no problem with that but my friend and I legit wanted to see the bands, and even though we sat up front and center, you couldn't hear the music whatsoever. The food and drinks situation was super odd too as they seem to add charges that don't show up on your tab when signing off. I found that very strange and when I checked in with others, they confirmed I wasn't crazy. I would say about $5 was added to each item that wasn't realized until seeing credit card statements. I wouldn't go back. I got there extremely early and was fortunate to get the very last spot in this lot. I would highly recommend getting there at least an hour before the show begins if you are driving. read more

The Penmar in Venice was such a disappointment for the England vs Norway FIFA game. They had a huge line outside and wouldn't let anyone in, saying they were at full capacity while the game was going on and goals were being scored -- we missed everything. Then when I finally got to the door, security checked bags and forced everyone to throw away outside food so we'd buy their overpriced snacks. I had homemade fruit plates and snacks, and nowhere on their website or Instagram did it say anything about this rule. They refused to let me in unless I tossed it all. So greedy and unfair and a disgusting way to treat people -- I won't be going back. read more

Every time I walk in, they treat me like family--warm hellos, inside jokes, the kind of genuine connection you just don't find everywhere. They're not just great at their jobs; they're the heart of the place. Sundays at The Penmar have basically become a tradition. There's no better spot to watch football, hang out, and just enjoy the day. The vibe is always perfect--chill, fun, and full of people you actually want to spend time around. And I will forever stand by this: the Tuna Melt is one of the best things on the menu. I talk about it constantly for a reason. If you want a neighborhood spot where the staff knows you, the food hits every time, and you always walk out happier than you walked in, The Penmar is it. Attended the "Summer Sessions" live music event and had a blast people watching. This is a golfing and dining facility that host a live music event with KCRW. Seen on TikTok from other influencers that this is a happening place to be on a Friday during the late afternoon/early evening. Doors open at 4pm. So from 4pm-5pm are the Early Birds which was us since it was our first time attending. We saw one of the bands load in their gear as we showed the registration kids (literally teenager) our qr codes to get in. Then it's a bag check, followed by a table that you'll stop by and pay the $25 corkage fee if you brought our own alcoholic beverages (two bottle maximum) and then your inside where another teen will ask you if you want a glow in the dark bracelet ( which indicates you are single and ready to mingle). Strolling inside The Penmar you'll see people playing golf, food and drink stations being set up. Then you go to the lawn and lay down your blankets and/or chairs. There are security guards blocking off a lot of the greenery for the golfers. My friends and I got some drinks and ordered the nachos which were a great amount and very delicious. More people arrived and around 6pm the security guards opened up the full lawn for all of us. People ran to lay down their blankets close to the stage. By 7pm the lawn was covered with tons of stylish, jockish and hipster folk. The first band had a country/folk flare. When they finished a dj played some uptempo music, after that the second band was a boy group/yacht rock blend. It was great people watching and hanging out playing Uno with my friends. read more

Came here for the first time ever last night for Sunset Sessions! It was a cute and bougie vibe and the music they played was fun and eclectic. It was fun to people watch and we got there early to score a blanketed spot on the lawn to people watch. The lines to the bar weren't bad in the beginning, but as more people arrived, it progressively got worse. We met some cool and friendly people there but it would have been great to have met more! Everything was way overpriced with drinks having added fees and the admission fee to get in also being overpriced. I don't think I would go again but it's a good place to check out once to say you did it! The parking lot seemed full when I came but there was ample street parking a block away! read more

Sunset Sessions is such an experience. Saw tons of people from various Netflix dating shows, the bachelor, etc. Very LA vibes lol. Buy tickets ahead of time, the price goes up by a few bucks the day of. Also pro tip: just pay the $25 corkage fee and bring your own wine. They charge like $18 for a glass of wine. I honestly don't know that I would come back? It's fun but an interesting vibe for sure. Also the quesadillas are delicious BUT they automatically add in gratuity and don't tell you!! so don't tip! My $15 carnitas quesadilla came out to $19 and when i asked why, they said it was for gratuity but then the screen still asks for a tip. They should really tell you beforehand. read more

Great spot with super friendly staff. The drinks are really well priced, especially during happy hour, and the cocktails are delish. Sunset Sessions are always a...scene (check TikTok to see what I mean!) but we book tables to just vibe and observe. For context, I had their Belgian Waffle and Matcha Latte. Unsure about the waffle after eating it for awhile but the matcha was really good. I went here for a 222 experience and my god the service here is god awful. My friend ordered matcha like me but had milk substitute and they didn't even bother to let us know which was his cup. They gave him the wrong cup because my friend knew the difference in milk taste. I checked in and he didn't even show me to my table or say anything else, he just pointed to the back and had me figure it out on my own. Felt like we were ignored the whole time. But they tended to every other table that wasn't there for 222. They had golfing so if you're into brunch and golfing, it doesn't hurt to try them out for that ambiance. Don't recommend based on the poor service though. read more

It's disappointing when a business is so responsive publicly but doesn't engage with direct inquiries, especially when people are trying to plan around health needs. I love the idea of a sunset music and picnic but why is there still golf going on. You can't have both going on at the same time it takes up so much space that can be used for the people who paid for the picnic. You can't have your cake and eat it too. I come here often to watch football and always order the same thing, the breakfast burrito. A few weeks ago I ordered my staple meal only to get a burrito that had rice and veggies in it. I told my waitress the order was incorrect and she had the audacity to tell me I ordered it incorrectly. She grabbed the menu and said you pointed at these, pointing to the regular burritos. I know for a fact I did not. I didn't even know they offered regular burritos. I nicely told her no I pointed to this one, showing her the breakfast burrito and again she told me it was my fault. She was so rude. Said she would take it off my bill. Then when I went to pay it was still on there. The girl behind the bar was able to remove it for me. It was just a terrible experience from a place I go to pretty often. read more

I recently had the pleasure of hosting a college graduation party for my daughter and son-in-law at The Penmar and I could not have been happier. The planning phase was extremely easy. Communication and follow through was highly professional. They even asked for the names of the universities the graduates were graduating from to be able to print out the logos and add them to our event information page at the entrance. We ordered the taco cart with a few sides. Delicious tacos were made to order and guest ate at the leisure. We also requested a private bartender. He was fantastic. Kept our thirsty crown happy throughout the entire time of the event. The Penmar team was flexible enough to add a few extra guests the day of the event. Our space was extremely comfortable for the size of our group and the outdoor feel of the golf course relaxed all of our guests. Everyone had a great time and the hosts parents were very pleased with such a great event at a VERY reasonable costs. If you looking for an upscale, casual event space; look no further. Penmar to me is everything that I want in a place that embodies great people and better vibes. I couldn't speak more highly of Penmar in general, but the staff here n really drives it home. There isn't anyone that drives that vibe home more than Taylor. Had a really pleasant and memorable experience at Penmar for lunch. It was our first time and we tried a variety of items including the breakfast tacos, chilaquiles verdes, huevos rancheros, and waffles, to name a few. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, and our server was great in answering any questions we had. Only downside was that their chicken tinga was pictured on the menu, but is only offered a couple days a week and it wasn't specified which days, but our server let us know they serve tinga on Thursdays and one other day (possibly Saturday). The outdoor seating area was spacious and on the border of the Penmar Golf Course which gave us something to watch and enjoy while waiting for our food and drinks.
