This place is very small, but the food is delicious! There is usually a wait so be prepared to wait around 30 minutes. The loaded hash browns are my favorite thing on the menu. They are topped with eggs, cheese, bacon, green onion, and a creamy aioli sauce. I would highly recommend. read more

Just left on this Wednesday morning they were not too busy. We ordered our food and drinks. We got our food before our drinks we had to ask multiple times for our drinks. My Wife got the Chilaquiles with Chile verde do not ever order. It is absolutely terrible had no flavor!!! Rice and beans flavorless I had the country Benedict.. gravy has no flavor. Chicken was bland. Only thing decent was the house, Potatoes. And parking is terrible. read more

Ordered takeout (Sunday brunch) bc I knew it would be packed to eat there and the wait even longer. The place was kind of packed, ambience seems okay. Got there when it said my food would be ready and it wasn't ready until about 20min later. Expect to wait whether you order takeout or dine in. Staff friendly but you can tell more experience is needed. The food was okay, they forgot to add the toast I ordered on 3 of my meals which was very annoying. I got the stuffed French toast, that was an 8/10 I also got the loaded hash browns and they were okay 8/10 My kids got burritos and they enjoyed them. Not sure I will be back. read more

Very limited parking in their lot (5-6 spaces?); plenty of street parking surrounding restaurant. Arrived around 10am on Saturday but there was a 30 min wait for indoor seating. We chose to sit outside (about 4 tables) with no wait but with very weak heating lamps. Food came pretty fast. Everything was hot & delicious. Each entree is definitely enough to share between 2 people. Pastrami & Egg breakfast sandwich (5/5): huge sandwich loaded with salty pastrami and crispy shredded hash browns. Eggs were perfectly cooked over medium with yolks still runny! Chilaquiles with the green sauce (4/5): eggs over medium perfectly cooked. Tortillas still crunchy even with sauce smothered on top. Wish it was spicier. Service was friendly and fast, although hard for servers to handle inside and outside service as they forgot to come back and refill our coffee. No biggie...we just flagged them down. Wish there were Pans in the SFV area as I would totally visit more often (as they have so many tasty looking items on the menu!)! read more

Anyone can post a delicious looking meal, but showing the aftermath of a clean plate is what truly signifies a delicious eating experience! And The Pan on 166th and Western IS WHERE ITS AT!! Quality service, reasonable prices, great ambiance, DELICIOUS FOOD, and overall great experience! I enjoyed my french toast with eggs and breakfast potatoes. If there was a critique, I would recommend the kitchen sauté the veggies that come with the potatoes just a little longer in a butter base to help improve overall flavor, but none the less I enjoyed them. I also tried the breakfast burrito, which was delicious! The green salsa that it comes with is so fresh and rich in flavor I needed an extra haha! Now I have a place to go to for my pancake fix--fluffy stacks dripping with syrup, topped with fresh fruit and whipped cream. Whether it's a classic buttermilk pancake or something indulgent like chocolate chip or blueberry, I know exactly where to satisfy my cravings. I ordered it through Uber Eats, and the delivery was fast, with the food still hot upon arrival. Loaded Hash Brown - 9/10: Well-seasoned, the potatoes were crispy, and the cheesy egg was delicious. Overall, it was really good. Shrimp & Grits - 8/10: Great flavor, and I loved the sauce. However, there was a lot of sauce, which I didn't mind, but if you're not a fan of saucy dishes, I would recommend ordering this in person and asking for light sauce, as modifications aren't available through Uber Eats. Specialty Pancake (Strawberry and Paradise) - 7.5/10: It was good and not soggy at all. The strawberries could have been a bit fresher, but it wasn't too bad. However, the pancake didn't wow me, and I probably wouldn't order it again. Was craving a sweet breakfast and their menu had a unique selection of pancakes! Ended up ordering the tiramisu pancakes (8/10) and the banana pancakes (6/10). Went on a Friday morning and wait was still pretty long, so beware. What a warm and inviting place! Had a fantastic breakfast here the other day. Was looking for some great pancakes and it did not disappoint! I liked the cozy and southern look and feel of the place. Made me feel right at home. The excellent service also helped with that! Greeted with a smile and always very helpful. We got the lumberjack combo, short rib Benedict , and the guava cream pancakes. Decided to give this hyped place a try only to be disappointed. Food: Zero stars. Fast Service though - we were served in less than 10 min I ordered the hashbrowns/egg- sausage. It came with a nasty mayo-chipotle drizzle. Nasty! Husband: ordered Chilaquiles (red). Plain gross! Sauce no flavor /spice. Who serves with rice!! Plate was overly full. Cold plate. DO NOT ORDER! Coffee: not fresh. Service: great 10/10 Des. Not their fault their Chef sucks. We are definitely not going back. Food was not good at all. Came here as my friend suggested it (though she'd been to another location). As others have mentioned, the parking is awful and inadequate (we came for a weekday late breakfast/early lunch). We were able to be seated right away. Food was OK--I got the The Pastrami & Egg Sandwich, which couldn't be picked up (it was falling apart), so I took off the top bread and ate fork and knife as an open-faced. The hashbrowns were IN the sandwich (unexpected) and underdone... and there wasn't much pastrami. I had to add salt because it didn't have a lot of flavor (I almost never add salt to anything). It was OK, but expensive for what it was. When we wanted to check out, our server hadn't checked in on us in a while, so we had to flag someone down to get the check. Maybe another location is better? Likely wouldn't return to this one. read more

Let's get into it. Was in the area for a birthday trip wanting to find a breakfast spot before we leave and found this gem. Parking is in a small private lot in front of their building and some additional maybe off site (unsure). The service our waitress was given to us was great, enjoyed every bite for our first visit there. Loved atmosphere of the mom and pop shop. Definitely a spot to look for coming back. My best friend and I ate her and enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere inside is very inviting and the staff are very friendly. We ordered the shrimp and grits, which the flavor was wonderful, but portion size was lacking. There was more sausage than grits and not enough grits for the amount of sauce. This by far is one of my favorite places to come have breakfast. The food is good every time and you can tell by the line of people waiting to get their grub on. This is a neighborhood gem and I'm so glad they opened other locations nearby for everyone else to go to so I can get in this one quicker lol JK (still have long lines regardless) I have tried a few items from the large menu over the years but mostly stick to my usual. Honestly I don't know how they do it in their small kitchen but everything comes out packed with flavor and just right. Banana pancakes: 5/5 (has nuts on top) Strawberries pancakes: 5/5 Pineapple upside down pancakes: 5/5 love the coconut milk cream that comes with it French toast: 4/5 Side of fried chicken breast: 5/5 ( love with a mix of ketchup and cholula sauce on the side) Asada Fries: 4/5 House potato: 3.5/5 Staff: always friendly Cleanliness: good. They have a single bathroom stall and seem to keep it clean. The restaurant itself is always organized and clean. This is one of my top 3 Breakfasts/ Brunch spot. read more

I'm in an unfamiliar part of town, skipped dinner last nite and dying for a good breakfast. With Yelp to the rescue, I found The Pan and luckily it's only 5 minutes from where I happen to be in Torrance. There is A LOT to like about The Pan! 1. The menu is really large you are certain to find something you like. 2. The coffee is REALLY good! I ended up drinking 2 cups, and I don't often do that. 3. The decoration is a throwback for some things that look like they are from the 70s or 80s, and they are super cute. The outdoor area has more personality than inside, so I recommend sitting outside. Sorry I forgot to get pictures of this. 4. Food not only came out fast, but it's REALLY good! I almost got the fried chicken on top of biscuits and gravy, but somehow scrambled eggs, potatoes and a side of biscuits and gravy sounded better. It was delicious and I ate every last bite of food. Honestly, I wish The Pan had a location in Pasadena because I'd be there all the time. The upside is that now I know a very reliable location whenever I'm in Gardena! read more

Classic breakfast food. A bit of a wait to get seated. Big serving size. All the food was very filling and cooked well. Coffees were very very sweet. I think we could have ordered less food because no one really finished their dishes so we could have shared. Chicken and waffles came with a jam that we enjoyed. Pumpkin pancake was really good. I come here with my family when we are craving the loaded hash browns and their delicious pancakes: blueberry with lemon butter OR banana nut. You cannot go wrong with that. The coffee is always nice and warm and the staff is very attentive. Come early or beware of wait time (25-2 hrs); the food is worth it tho. Place is a bit cramped up. I usually like eating inside the establishment, outside it does get hot. read more

The setting seems like a small diner location off of Western Ave. since they are a small location, I recommend coming early to find parking. The staff is great and the food comes out quickly. I love the loaded hash browns and banana pancakes with coconut syrup. read more

There are no vegan items on the menu. Could you possibly tweak items since they offer Beyond Meat for an additional charge? Sure, but my experience dining in was subpar and their hesitation verifying vegan ingredients was alarming.

From experience, they do not accept reservations. Best bet is to join the waitlist and be sure to let them know when you arrive.

Just tried to place an order on-line for pick-up but it's not allowing me to do that. I guess since it's mother's day, a holiday, Pan doesn't accept on-line orders for pick-up on holidays?

Yeah, we tried the same thing and they canceled the order within 2 minutes. We then called and they left us on hold for 30 minutes before we just hung up and decided to eat somewhere else. I take it they were really busy.

Do people physically there waiting get less priority than the yelp waitlist?

No, everyone is on the same digital waitlist - if you wait in person you input your party info upon arrival. Yelp waitlist just means you add onto that list without being there physically in person. Same big list, in order of when info was submitted.

A couple new dishes for us here are spicy miso tofu and char siu chicken. For the tofu, I substituted rice and Mac salad for a garden salad. Oh, my goodness! Their salad dressing is amazing! It has a hint of sweetness and tartness and then bam!..the fresh garlic! Yum! Tofu was good, too! Hubby had the char siu chicken with all rice and no Mac salad. It came with a side of hot mustard. Truly onolicious! Only ask for next time is extra hot mustard. For dessert round, we got a dozen malasadas - 6 "simple kine" and 6 "filled," and a shave ice. Everything was great - food, service, and atmosphere. Oh, I forgot to mention that they hosted a pet adoption outside. So, on top of that, they're people with great hearts.

Those are probably some of the best and most consistent items on the menu. Two other items that I've had that I'd recommend improvement are: - garlic cheese tater tots. They're bland in flavor, could use a bit of pepper or spice. Had to ask for sriracha to dip it to make it better. - lemon pepper flavored wings. I've tried these on two separate occasions. The flavor is bland and really missing the lemon/citrus accent. Both times I've had them, they mostly just tasted like oil, almost nutty in flavor. Service here is okay. The staff is friendly and constantly moving around. Sometimes it can be hard to get a hold of someone, especially if they're in the back where customers can't see them. It's a small to medium sized restaurant so expect it to be busy and packed on nights and weekends. Also keep in mind that the parking lot is shared in a plaza, but they also have an underground parking garage too. Overall, would come back, but for only specific things.

I love this drink and typically assume it's just going to be sweeter than I like but this one was balanced so well, just sweet enough for me. My pizza was ready in about 25 minutes and WOW! This is the thin crust of my dreams. Not too thin that it folds under the weight of the ingredients or gets super soggy and a crunchy crust! I took a bite without adding on parmesan and chili flakes, delicious both ways. Next time, I'm definitely going to add one of the oil drizzles, I'm sure it'll be great too. Do yourself a favor, and go to ASAP Pizza, asap!

The staff is really polite and well mannered, which is very welcoming. And they offer daily specials, as well as several others. The pricing is reasonable for the quality of food you're receiving. Plus the dining room and tables are clean for those dining in. Overall, ASAP Pizza is worth your time and money.

A spacious area with a family friendly industrial tones with plenty of seating, a friendly staff that ushered me in and seamlessly guided me to my friend's table, and quaint bakery and grocery area to boot. The food was delicious, upon a cursory review of Yelp I went with the Gnocchi with pesto. My friend had chicken Scaloppina. Portions and price point were great. I had leftovers and did not feel ripped off. The cappuccino I ordered, not the best, but it wasn't bad. It's not like I was at a cafe or coffee shop. The waiter was attentive and the restaurant seemed to be at 70% capacity with families. Overall, I would say it was a positive experience and would recommend it as the best Italian option in this part of town. I regret not getting the House Cake as it looked delicious...I was just too full. Bonus* I did hear some people speaking Italian which also adds some street cred to this fine institution.

I had chicken Parmesan and it was great, my wife had the seafood mix with all the different things that go in that and she was really happy. Everything from the bread, to my sister-in-law's lemon chicken was amazing. And then we got to the desserts. You will never find a better restaurant than this for desserts. Their bakery is right on hand, and oh my God was their desserts incredible. I think we all sampled everything, I had a pastry puff that was covered in chocolate with a cream filling on the inside and I swear it was one of the best things that ever went in my mouth. The open air ambience was really interesting, and I swear I have never been in such a large party and had everybody as happy as we were at this restaurant. It was for my wife's birthday and I gotta say they nailed it!!! I can't wait to go back to LA and hit this place up again.

The place is small so if you want to do a walk in be prepared to wait, but the wait is honestly so random. One time I got in 25 minutes later and next time 45 minutes. First time, I got takeout and was honestly disappointed. The pizza got cold during the 12 minute walk back to my apartment and it just didn't hit the same because it wasn't fresh. Second time, we did a walk-in on a Sunday and somehow got really lucky. Waited about 20 minutes at a nearby coffee shop because of cancellations. We got the Margherita special and Ruti's pizza, and both were out of this world. Especially the Margherita special... this is hands down my favorite pizza i've tried in LA. I tend to gravitate toward classic flavors and they did everything right with this one. The crust alone... probably the best Neapolitan dough I've had in my life. It's pillowy, soft, slightly chewy, and just has that perfect structure. Only thing to note is their pizzas are VERY floppy. Like... really floppy. So if that's not your thing, you might not love it as much. Ruti's pizza is a white base with soppressata, fresh arugula, and hot honey. The sweet and spicy combo worked really well, super balanced and not overwhelming. We also got the tricolor salad which was a great starter. Very fresh, bright, and tangy from the lemon dressing. It cuts through the heaviness of the pizza perfectly. Third time, we did another walk-in on a Saturday around 2:30 PM and got seated within 30 minutes. At this point I'm convinced I just have good luck with the wait times!! We ordered the mala lamb sausage, diavola, bianca, and tiramisu. My favorite this time was the bianca. It was lighter and acted as a really nice palate cleanser between the heavier pizzas. You can actually taste the lemon in it, which surprisingly I loved on pizza. Only thing is you have to eat it fast because once it cools down, the cheese solidifies pretty quickly. The mala lamb sausage is definitely a crowd favorite, but not my personal favorite.... It leans heavier and the lamb flavor comes through pretty strong. If you like bold flavors you'll probably love it, but I personally prefer something more classic and clean like the margherita or the bianca. The diavola was solid. The soppressata brought the right amount of spice and everything felt really balanced. And the tiramisu... I will always get this if I have room for dessert. It's a good portion size!! The three of us shared it after already eating three pizzas (and still had 3 slices leftover) and we were completely stuffed. I would come back again for the Margherita special and the tiramisu alone.

The pizza we received was the driest we've ever had. It was like biting into cardboard. Red Baron frozen pizza tastes better. Looking at other reviews, some pizzas looked much better, while others appeared just as dry as ours, so it seems inconsistent. The customer service was good, and I appreciate that, but we wouldn't return for the pizza. Overall, very disappointing.
