Chicken Fried Steak, Eggs and Potatoes

There's always a tasty meal waiting for you at Country Touch Cafe. You feel the homemade taste and old time hospitality when you're here. The staff are amazing and the food, even better. This is an old time cafe, serving up goodness in every cup and plate.

Stopped by here to get some breakfast. Everyone here was so nice amazing service. I ordered the country chicken steak the gravy omg was delicious. I got scrambled eggs they gave me some home made salsa also amazing a bit spicy but pretty good. The biscuits were also very delicious. They have a few parking spaces. But staff was very friendly food provided comfort and prices were pretty good looking forward to trying their lunch.

Got the Chef's Omelette. Very tasty and good quality. They also have salsa available which complements the omelette very well. The potatoes were nice and crispy. Service was outstanding. One other offering that was available was Apple Butter. I will have to try that on my next visit.

Chorizo Burrito

This is a long-time, local spot here in the Gardena/Torrance area, but never went here for the past 20 years I've been in the area! It can be easy to miss as it's across the street from the energy/refinery company. Went here at about 7 am on a Saturday with a party of 4, and we were able to be seated right away. I felt at home, especially with all the decor that reminded me of my grandparent's house. Particularly a fan of the pig decor. I ordered a chorizo burrito, which was about $14 but still very delicious. The chorizo wasn't dry and I didn't feel super sluggish afterwards. Nothing about the burrito stood out, but it was a solid homestyle breakfast burrito. Something that did stand out was the service. Not only did the waitress ask if we needed anything but some of the kitchen staff as well!

From the outside, this place looks pretty decrepit and I had my doubts. Once inside, it's absolutely charming, just like a country cafe. I was greeted warmly by my server and several other employees. Emphasis on warmly, it felt incredibly genuine. They have parking in the rear, not tons, but ample. I decided to try something different, so I ordered the country omelette. It was ok, everything needed way more seasoning. However, I happen to lovvvve ham and cheese omelettes, so maybe my tastebuds were just disappointed. I will definitely be returning. But I'll need to have them fry my potatoes a little bit longer and I know they'll accommodate.

went to celebrate my birthday with some friends. couldn't decide between the loco moco and bulgogi. my friend got the bulgogi and i got loco moco. i ended up taking a bulgogi plate home. was so onolicious! our waitress jackie was awesome! the owner diane came out and gave me a little gift bag and wished me a happy birthday! that was my first time there and i am definitely going again very soon.

Salsa...so good!

I love a good diner... and this is definitely one of them! Everything I had was delicious. I had the pork chop breakfast with biscuits and gravy and crispy potatoes. Their salsa is really good too! I added on a single blueberry pancake, which wasn't fluffy enough for my liking, but the flavor was good. I'll definitely be back to the spot!

We were looking for a breakfast spot and stumbled across Country Touch Cafe! My husband and I came in with our 3 toddlers and infant and they were so accommodating to us. Service was amazing they were so sweet to us and out babies. The place was super cozy with booths and cute decor. Food was really good, we really enjoyed their bulgogi rice and eggs plate and their coffee cake! I would definitely go back!

Spanish Deluxe

If you want good local food made by a mom and pop shop with no frills and good service, you can come here. Location: On 190th between Felbar and Kornblum Avenue in Torrance. A few parking spaces in the front, but a large lot in the back. Food: I got the Spanish Omelette Deluxe. Not sure what the "deluxe" was about but it came with your choice of bread. Just enough food not too salty ( you can add your own). First having my potatoes flaked and not shredded or hashed, but it worked. There was some kind of sauce on top that was delicious and I couldn't put my finger on what it was. The chili inside the omelette is was made this dish sing. I'd get this again. The biscuit I got as a side was dry, so I won't be getting that again. Summary: The ambiance here is country small town local. Full of hometown decorations and the kind you'd find if you stopped at a local cafe on your way to a bigger town. The service was excellent so I don't understand why other reviews said it was poor. I'll get something else next time to see what else is good. Portions are modest so if you have a large appetite, get a side dish. The waffle from a dining companion was crisp, small but not soggy so that was a plus. Pricing is on par with other local spots around town with inflation in effect. But, I could see myself coming here to avoid the bigger chains in the area. Happy eating!!!

At many brunch restaurants, you can sometimes sense when the basics -- like pancakes or French toast -- aren't given the attention they deserve. They may look appealing on the menu but feel rushed or underwhelming when served. Here, however, the fundamentals are done right. There's care in the texture, balance, and execution, and that consistency makes all the difference. Weekend mornings often find us slightly sleepy and very hungry, searching for somewhere comforting to begin the day. What we want is warmth and familiarity -- something that feels almost as cozy as staying in bed. And when the craving for sweet carbohydrates hits, we're not looking for restraint. We're looking for soft, fluffy, fully satisfying bites. If that's what you're after, this location delivers. You'll likely leave in a better mood than when you arrived.

I liked the toasted brown spots on the outside of the burrito. The tiramisu pancakes weren't soggy from the soaked coffee/espresso. It had chunks of torn lady fingers on top. The interior inside is bright and fun with lots of decor items like roosters and "eat good"-type signage. They had TVs inside too but they weren't playing anything on them. The service was prompt and we got seated immediately when we came on a Monday. The bad: The blueberry lavender matcha was $8 and was too sweet. I don't think there was outside seating options. The burrito could have used more pico de gallo. It was a good burrito but not outstanding or something I'd order again. The interesting: They sell lots of drink options and lemonades from a different vendor (?) inside. They even had a mangonada!

We still live in the South Bay area but haven't been back here for many years. We decided to pay them a visit and see what's changed. Obviously the prices has changed. Since over 20 years ago, the menu looks a bit different as well. We ordered the cob salad and veggie burger. The salad portion was plenty but the burger could've been better. The price was a bit expensive for the quality and type of food. It was plain salad and the burger was also plain, no flavor or seasoning. Overall the service was decent. The gentleman who served us came back a decent amount of times and helped get us everything we needed. We ordered, ate, and also got a dessert on the way out. Their mini strawberry pie was okay. I would probably go back, hopefully the business remains open.

Came here for dinner and had a really disappointing experience, which is especially unfortunate…read morebecause my wife and I have been coming to this Hof's Hut since we were kids. It's a place that holds a lot of nostalgic memories for us, so it was sad to see it like this. My wife ordered the soup and salad. The salad was fine, but the broccoli cheddar soup was completely inedible -- it was loaded with pepper to the point where she couldn't eat more than a bite. It honestly tasted like someone dumped an entire container of pepper into it. When we mentioned it to our server, instead of acknowledging the issue, he told us that "everyone has been loving the soup today." That came across as dismissive, especially considering she didn't eat it at all. I ordered the meatloaf dinner, which came out cold and extremely salty -- also not good. I still ate it, but it definitely wasn't enjoyable. The server offered to bring a different soup, but didn't offer to remove it from the bill, even though it wasn't eaten. Between the poor food quality and how the issue was handled, this was a pretty bad experience overall -- and honestly disappointing given how much we've enjoyed this place over the years.

Let's…read morejust say I wasn't expecting there to be a theme because my partner chose this place for brunch, but they are serving up some gooooood American breakfast classics. Standouts include their Chicken and Waffle, which is served with candied bacon wrapped around a bunch of thyme (not exaggerating here). The lemon herb butter is the best part. I stole some off my partner's plate for my biscuit, which was warm and moist. If you're going on a weekend, it does get busy. Make sure to check in with the host if you're using Yelp Wait List, or you'll end up waiting longer than expected. It's also very loud and dark in there, so if you'd like a more chill ambiance, get seated on their patio.

This time, I also tried the loaded breakfast potatoes. Potatoes, sausage, peppers...perfect! Full of flavor! This diner style restaurant gets very busy on weekends and you definitely need to get everything from your server while you can...but they are pleasant and helpful. No issues there.
