Cute little spot was seating indoor and outdoors. The service was meh, the lady at the counter wasn't that friendly and was just staring at us as we were looking for the menus on the counter. For a second we thought we were at the wrong restaurant and almost left to try a different brunch place. But we stayed since this place was recommended to us and we sat outside since the weather was nice and the food was brought to our table. Food was pretty good! Cute spot, but not sure if we'd come back.
We love Yellow Vase. This is our first visit to this location. It is small but has indoor and outdoor seating with paid street parking. It is located on Catalina in the middle of many cute retail shops and more. They have a lovely extensive menu that will have you perplexed between breakfast or lunch choices. The coffee is a great blend whether you choose drip or an espresso. This location also offers floral arrangements in a cold case too. Between the four of us we ordered bacon and eggs which was cooked perfectly, french onion soup (so tasty), cobb salad and the pesto panini. Everything was yummy and the service and staff were wonderful.
We needed to kill a little time and walked in here for either a light bite or coffee because its such a cute little cafe. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, all decorated on theme. The cafe is very yellow, with lemon trees painted up the walls even. I had heard this place wasn't very good and we weren't too hungry after all so we just grabbed coffee. My friend got a honey vanilla latte and I got the peppermint mocha. Both came in large mugs and were absolutely perfect for what we wanted, though a bit sugary sweet, but still delightful. Reading reviews now, I would say this is a great spot for coffee, drinks, and baked goods. Very cute and perfect cafe!
This Yellow Vase in the Riviera Village has been here for a long, long time. I've been coming here since it first opened. I feel like it was one of the first ones to open in the South Bay. It's always fairly busy. Ever since, Yellow Vases have been popping up all over this area, left and right. You don't have to drive far to find one. I came here after I had my hair done at the salon next door. I ordered a muffin and latte. They always create pretty designs in my lattes, usually a daisy. Whereas the bakery items aren't bad, I wouldn't really recommend the food plates. They're not very good. They have plenty of comfortable seating, both indoors and outdoors. I sat outdoors on this occasion. Staff are friendly. Parking: Metered, street.
Cute cafe by the Pacific Highway. Merered parking could be found within walkable distance. The interior and exterior seatings were clean. Didnt have the sun beaming on me the whole time. The price was reasonable. The order was served within timely manner. The highlight would be their coffee. I ordered a chicken panini and I was awfully disappointed with the driest chicken breast ever tasted.....it tasted like it was frozen for ages, and texture was like tree bark. The coffee was the best thing tho. The side salad was fresh surprisingly. Overall, it was ok. Just would order anything with chicken breasts ever again...it gets a 3.0 out of 5.
This location is on Catalina Avenue, so really nice for people and dog watching. Dog friendly on the patio. Plenty of outdoor seating. Menu is big and mostly brunch-focused. Vegetarian options. I love their Sunshine Panini, their Croissant Sandwich, and their salads are always nice. Coffee is also very good. They have a selection of pastries at the register too. Service is always prompt and the people are always nice.

Both were average. Ambiance: Super cute and flattering interior and exterior. I love the yellow theme of this cafe and how it's decorated. Seating is quite limited inside, but they also offer outdoor seating which is equally as nice, especially on a warm day. Definitely a place to go to if you want a unique cafe! Location: Located 5 minutes walking from the beach (The Esplanade). Lots of meter parking nearby. Service: It was a bit slow, especially for a cafe. Took 10 minutes for coffee, iced tea, and a pastry to come out. Also waited in line for about 10 minutes when there were only 2 people ahead of us. Besides that, the staff were friendly. Overall, if you're looking for a cute and unique cafe, this is your spot. But, if you're looking for good drinks and pastries, this is not your spot.

Place your order at the counter, take a number and find a seat. :) Their menu offers everything from breakfast, lunch, salads, sandwiches, baked goods and lots of drinks. My friend and I shared the Chicken Caesar Salad and The Croissant Sandwich w/ Bacon. Both were so good!! I loved the warm croissant and the perfectly cooked eggs. The Caesar Salad was perfect too, it came with 2 pieces of bread/croutons and a side of dressing. We both left feeling full! I also ordered a Chai Tea w/ Oat Milk and I have to say, that was one of the best I've had in a long time. Overall, I loved this place. I'm hoping to come back soon!
Such a charming little café -- the perfect spot for a cozy breakfast by the beach! The omelets were fluffy and full of flavor, the potatoes were perfectly crispy, and the fresh baguette on the side was such a nice touch. Their cappuccino was spot on, and the pastry was buttery perfection. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and the vibe was peaceful and relaxing. Definitely one of my favorite breakfast spots in the Riviera!

CUTE AND YUMMY Love this bright and homey cafe in the heart of Redondo's Riviera Village! Grateful my friend has a daughter who lives in town and suggested it; otherwise, I never would have noticed it. Even though it was a Sunday morning, we immediately found seats inside. Of course it was a cheery yellow interior with lots of floral accents, hence "Yellow Vase." After perusing the extensive menu at our table, we realized we had to order and pay at the counter, where they were doing a bustling business with tempting pastries and fresh java. They gave us a number to place on our table to let them know where to deliver our food. My old pal from high school (Yes, we've known each other for DECADES!), always leans towards lox for breakfast. It was no surprise that she ordered the Smoked Salmon Plate ($16.95). The salmon arrived on a fresh French baguette with capers, red onion, tomatoes and cream cheese. I like variety, so the 2 by 2 ($16.95) was right up my alley. The two pieces of French toast were homemade perfection. So were the two scrambled eggs, the two chicken sausages and the rosemary potatoes. What an ample, delicious brunch. We were too busy catching up to photograph our meal, though. Sorry, 'cause it was pretty! Just wish the water cups were larger as we had to make several trips to the H20 station for refills. Follow the yellow brick road - I mean Catalina Avenue - and go! read more

Came for the caramel Flans $5 each, as good as i can make; but the caramel all spilled out by the time i got home :-/ The cashier/server wasn't very interested in 'serving'...Perhaps quarterly trainings needed, imho read more

visited yellow vase for sunday brunch with a girlfriend this place was perfect! very home-y vibes service was wonderful very inviting clean and food came out pretty quick tons of seating indoor and out they have menu on the right once you walk in, you will need to order/pay and then grab a table they have a water station as well i think i changed my order about 3-4x while waiting in line bc i kept seeing people's orders come out i ended up ordering the 2 by 2, with scrambled eggs with chicken sausage their french toast were sooo flippin delicious!! so pillowy , ive never had french toast like that! huge portions for fair prices!!! parking: street (metered and not metered) , there is also a metered lot over by TJs/starbucks *also!! idk what happened to my photo of my plate!!! sorry guys* read more

I didn't think I could love the color yellow any more than I already do. Then I met the Yellow Vase. Just walking in makes you feel happy. The food is SOOOO good. Order what you like at the front and take your number to where you want to sit. Ate outside on the patio and it was so lovely and shaded. Park in the nearby by lot and walk a block over (meter parking). The hardest part was trying to choose between breakfast food and lunch food. I want it all. The food was top notch. Mmm. Still thinking about this place. read more

What a beautiful cafe. The decor was so cute, the service was great, the staff was friendly and the food was delicious. I tried the Spanish latte and the garden crepe. The latte was amazing. Spot on with the flavor, a perfect cup to start my morning. The garden crepe was delicious. I loved that the asparagus was cut into small bite-sized pieces, which gave the crepe a perfect crunch. The crepe itself was also flavorful. My daughter tried the salmon plate and Chai iced latte. Both were also delicious. I would definitely recommend ypu try. I'm looking forward to trying more items. read more
I had a wonderful experience for Sunday brunch. Ambiance: Very bright and cozy with a indoor and covered outside seating. Come here if you want a quaint, small coffee date. They're pet friendly too! The tables are close together, but we didn't feel disturbed at all. Food: You pay up at the front, get a number, then choose a table. I ordered the Matcha Iced Latte (~less than $4) and the Californian Omelette ($15). My friend ordered a latte, fruit tart, and Smoked Salmon Crepe ($15, not pictured). The portion sizes are very generous and filling. Service: The food came out very quickly! We got our drinks within minutes from ordering, and food about 5 minutes after that. The server was very sweet. I'd definitely come back for an intimate, quaint cafe ambiance. read more
Prime location in Riviera Village, Yellow Vase is a cute little French-like cafe in what felt like a cramped space. It is tastefully decorated with a Provence vibe. There is minimal service. You take one of their menus and order and pay at the counter. You seat yourself and they bring the food to you if you are dining in. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. I came for a late lunch with friends and ordered the California Chicken Panini. It was good, but honestly, I liked the paninis at Corner Bakery more. The chicken was sorta dry and it was served on a French baguette. A mixed green salad is served with the panini which was heavily dressed. I didn't have any of their pastries or desserts but they did look tasty. I did have their chocolate chip cookie which was nothing special. Yellow Vase is a nice spot to stop in for a break and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea with a pastry, dessert or snack. You can also browse around as they sell a lot of knick-knacks and floral designs on display throughout. read more

Location is great, but that's about it...unfortunately. This is one of those cafes that you go to just because it's by the beach. Small seating spaces and pretty loud inside (not calm). Food is very mediocre and pastries aren't that good either. The only good thing from their pastries was the mini maple donut. It's really nothing special, just a cute little yellow cafe by the beach. read more

I had high expectations but it wasnt the best. If you're a true matcha drinker (ex; drink matcha on the daily), stay away from their raspberry matcha drink. The matcha is not ceremonial grade and the matcha was very gritty & not tasty. The chicken panini wi avo was pretty good tho. Cant go wrong with the basics! Also aesthetics, it's quite nice. It's roomy. Fyi: Dogs are not allowed inside. read more

Tell you what, Yellow Vase is a really lovable cafe, it's so friendly is the thought that immediately comes to mind-- even on a cold SoCal morning! The food and coffee are well crafted and always fresh and tasty, plus they have a wide selection of pastries to tempt your taste buds. Yellow Vase has several locations although I'd recommend to all to visit the one in Palos Verdes (free parking) where you can take a wonderful walk down to the local school, which is just a short walk as well as take some stunning photos of the ocean and coastline. read more
