I never realized Redondo Beach was missing an authentic Italian café until Ugo arrived in Riviera Village--and now I can't imagine life without it! This charming spot is the perfect addition to the neighborhood. Whether you're catching up with friends over rich Italian coffee and flaky pastries, or winding down a date night with creamy house-made gelato and great conversation, Ugo nails it every time. The gelato is crafted fresh daily and ranks among the best I've tasted outside of Italy--silky, flavorful, and full of character. Their pastries and espresso drinks are equally outstanding. The space is cozy and intimate (a little small, which adds to the charm), so expect a short wait for gelato during peak times--especially when folks ahead are happily sampling every flavor! The staff handles the rush with impressive speed, politeness, and smiles, making the experience feel welcoming rather than frustrating. Ugo is an absolute must-visit in the South Bay. If you're craving real Italian vibes by the coast, this place delivers. I've already been back multiple times--highly, highly recommend! Can't wait to try their Culver City location!!!!

Stopped by Ugo in Redondo Beach for a sweet treat and had the best experience thanks to Esperanza. She was helping us out and was seriously so sweet and helpful. I was originally looking at a cheesecake flavor and trying to pair it with pistachio, but she recommended Romeo e Giulietta and that was exactly the flavor combo I was looking for. She let us sample a few different flavors and even shared combinations other customers usually get, which I really appreciated. We also ordered a cannoli, and while it was okay, it didn't have the mini chocolate chips like a typical cannoli, which felt a little odd. I personally wouldn't get the cannoli again. That said, I would 100% come back for the gelato and honestly, for Esperanza alone because she was truly that kind. The shop is only about two-ish blocks from the beach, so it's perfect to grab gelato and walk over to watch the waves or catch the sunset for a little sweet treat moment. All in all, I'd definitely come back: gelato yes, cannoli skip

European cafe vibes in the heart of Redondo Beach! Ugo is the newest and cutest cafe in Riviera Village, and you definitely need to check it out! They make all their gelato in house, have a wide variety of pastries and drinks to choose from, along with some savory items like their egg sandwich and their chicken pesto sandwich. The gelato has the lightest and fluffiest texture, and their coffee is bold and flavorful. My favorite items were the cannolis, gelato, iced Nutella latte, tiramisu, and egg sandwich, but honestly you can't go wrong with anything you choose. They're walking distance from the beach and are in the heart of Riviera Village in Redondo Beach, so I definitely recommend stopping by! It makes for a great sweet treat and the perfect cafe date spot, so highly recommend stopping by.

This is a new place in the Riviera Village. Coffee, gelato, and desserts is what this place has to offer. Full gelato shop. Tiny, but clean and cute. It's a small shop, with four tables total indoors. Three small round tables for two and one larger square table that seat four. The family ahead of me in line purchased gelato. I ordered a small latte with oat milk for here. It was served in a ceramic cup with spoon and saucer. It had a bold flavor, as advertised. No dessert today, but they look delicious. There was only one person behind the counter, but he was friendly and efficient. I didn't wait long. No restroom that I could see. Parking: Metered, street parking. Rewards: Yes, based on phone number.

Ugo is a fun, new little coffee/gelato house located right in the heart of Riviera Village. They offer a nice selection of coffees, teas, and some interesting pastry items, along with a nice selection of gelato treats. Plus, they also offer a few sandwiches. This is a easy place to come in and grab a treat. You can walk in, get what you want to-go, or sit down at one of their very few tables and enjoy it inside the establishment. Located on Catalina Avenue, this business is easy to find. There's plenty of parking all over the area. There's metered parking along Catalina, and the various side streets, as well as the large parking lot situated off of Avenida Del Norte, where you will also find metered parking. One thing to keep in mind about this business is that they do not have any restroom facilities. So, you'll have to find another location if you want to use that type of facility. I don't know how they get away with this, because according to the California Retail Food Code, all restaurants offering food to eat on site must provide restroom facilities and/or have a specific sign stating the fact that they have no restroom facilities. But, somehow this is the case. That's just something to keep in mind. Overall, this is a good place to find a nice selection of gelato, some enjoyable coffee orientated drinks, a nice little afternoon treat, or an easy place to grab that to-go item that you can enjoy on the move.

Heard this place through Instagram. Decided to try out this place. I asked my friend who works at the building across the street and she has not heard of this place. Ugo sells gelato, pastries, and drinks. I got the 3 scoop gelato ($8.99), eclair, and their large iced cafe nutella ($6.99). Not sure how much eclair cost but my total with tax and tip was $30. Gelato is good, they give fair portion for the price you pay. The iced latte was okay. I thought it was lightly flavored and the large size is like 12-16oz with half ice. I thought it was pricey. Eclair wasn't that sweet, although there were a lot of filling which i liked. I really liked the gelato here and the atmosphere is very welcoming and lively.

There is a reason we've been back three times in a week. With different flavors of gelato, pastries and drinks, there is something for everyone! The staff is friendly and always welcoming. The cafe is beautiful, and I love the unique feature of the front of the store sliding completely open to let in fresh air.

Great little spot to be greeted with a warm welcome and an amazing cup of coffee. The cozy interior can make for a good escape from cold. If it weren't for the cold weather a nice serving of their many delicious looking flavors of gelato would be great. I kept it to a warm cup of mocha. Decent prices and a wonderful experience.

Very cute cafe .. just opened and welcoming! I had the Vegetarian Egg Sandwich and it was DELICIOUS! Especially with the zucchini and pesto aioli! Paired it with an iced Americano. Nice job! ALSO, the outdoor lighting and signage draws you right to the cafe. Smart move! I'll be back!

We got the crème brûlée, pistachio and chocolate and we didn't have a single complaint. I think I've found my go to gelato spot. Service was quick and I loved the outdoor seating.

I saw this fun new gelato and coffee shop that opened up nearby while on a walk. They have a really cute aesthetic and they also serve brunch which was a fun surprise. The service was very friendly and the ambiance is very nice. I tried several of the flavors, both the Hazelnut Cafe and the Romeo and Juliet were my favorites!

Saturday morning reads and latte at UGO...great way to start the day!

I'm not normally one to post reviews but had to go on and share my experience. It is a beautiful Saturday morning in Redondo and stopped by Ugo (I think they're known most for their gelato) to read (very inviting BTW). Was not expecting to order anything (they graciously allowed me to stay) but the kindest server came up and asked "are you sure you don't want anything?" I simply said "surprise me." She came back with the most delicious oat milk latte! The perfect pairing with my book! Happy Saturday! I'll be back for gelato!

When scanning the shops for a caffeination boost, I couldn't stop thinking about the "Over Caffeinated Cold Brew Float" I saw advertised at Moom Maam. So intriguing! I circled back and ordered the indulgent morning treat, slightly skeptical of such a mix. I'm happy to report though that yes, it was a monstrosity to have first thing in the morning but I'd do it again in a second. You get to pick what flavor gelato is in the coffee and I went with chocolate to which they replied, great choice! I agree, it was such a good mix with the cold coffee brew. The gelato was so creamy with amazing flavor, I can't wait to come back and try more off their menu!

The portions are huge which is really nice so you feel like you get your moneys worth. The flavors are all super unique and really good I'm sure there is something for everyone. I love the thai tea of course, they have the best thai tea gelato I've had. The Matcha is really good too, very rich and strong matcha taste which I like. The Tofu & Kuronitsu is such a different but amazing flavor that I never had before but I'm obsessed! It tastes so good and creamy, full of flavor and just overall some of the best Gelato in the South Bay. So lucky to have a location so close to home. Before I forget the coconut rice waffle is the best thing ever!!! It honestly ruined regular waffle cones for me because now I always compare it to the Moom Maam cone. I always order the Special and it always has a little sticky rice at the bottom of the waffle cone which always soaks up the ice cream and it's the perfect little surprise at the bottom of the bowl. Moom Maam is always coming out with new flavors so it's always exciting to go and try something new. The menu is so huge too, I want to try their floats sometime because they sound amazing. Basically I can't rave enough about my new favorite gelato place in the south bay! It deserves so much more love please go check it out asap!
