That hit the spot! Peach and Ube swirl! Unfortunately, no cookies and cream option today.

Whenever we come to this mall my family always has to get Somisomi especially after the one at the Cerritos mall closed down they always crave it. The line here is usually never to bad and even when its long it seems like they are always prepping the fish so it goes by super fast. We have tried all out flavors but the go to usually the Matcha or the Ube. yo can even get them swirled which gets you the best of both flavors. You can also get the fish filled with a few different flavors. When they are done filling your fish and the ice cream is served you can choose your toppings. Sprinkles is usually the go to. If you are in the mall and want a sweet treat this is the place to go. It beats going to the Korea Town location that usually has a ridiculously long line.

Somi somi is always a favorite no matter where we go. We love their taiyaki and soft serve. The service is always friendly. They're located in the middle of the food court by Macy's Men's.

Very yummy ice cream well priced!! Fast and efficient service. Located in the food court of the mall. Tons of seating. Only thing is the icecream gets hollow on the inside

Went after my dreadful shift and was looking forward to a sweet treat here. First time so I asked what was the most popular and I was told it was the cookies and cream ice cream with the Nutella filled fish on top. I wanted to get the best experience so perused this choice, and I'm not disappointed at all. It's honestly nothing too different or incredible about the flavor, but it was presented so cutely and perfect that it made up for its mediocre taste. The whole kiosk was kept well cleaned, and the workers were very kind to me! Overall a great experience for a decent price to try something sweet and creative.

I'm obsessed with their Taiyaki! My favorite flavors are cheese and Nutella but the Oreo is really good too. Service takes a while, but it's because they make it fresh and it's worth the wait getting them hot You can see they keep the area clean and well maintained-- unless it's rush hour then of course expect crumbs everywhere by the toppings but it doesn't take away from the deliciousness of the treat You can get 2 for $5 (or) 5 for $9

Never had a Somi Somi. Decided to try their matcha "upside down" taiyaki with red bean topped with graham cracker and toasted coconut. It's a really nice treat. Small menu, easy to order at the tablet. Pick up in a few minutes at the other end of the kiosk. There's four single flavors and then two "twist" ones. Seems like very good quality soft-serve...doesn't melt right away and it's not icy, more creamy. They also offer "sips" (drinks) like strawberry milk and cold brew coffee. I was interested in the strawberry milk and asked a staff member about it. Unfortunately he said that he "never tried it". It would be nice for staff to be a little more knowledgeable about the products that they are selling (free marketing!) or ask a co-worker. At least their soft serve was good, not so sure about the strawberry milk:(

SOMISOMI is AMAZING. Such a cute idea for ice cream and incredibly tasty! This place is located in the del amo, but I love their little set up and I think the quality is just as great!!! The workers there were so kind and friendly. I ordered the ah boong with custard and matcha/Ube swirl. They topped it off with a macaron and it was so cute! As aesthetic as it was, it tasted even better. The taiyaki cones are made right there and they are sooooo fresh. They are warm and crispy on the outside with a soft inside filled with custard. The soft serve was smooth and creamy and the matcha/Ube combo was amazing. Come visit SOMISOMI when you're wandering around the mall!! It's amazing.

Ahboong with salted caramel, custard filling, and graham cracker topping

Cute spot for delicious ice cream. I ordered the Ah-Boong with salted caramel, custard filling, and graham cracker toppings. The salted caramel was sweet and had a great texture. The taiyaki was crispy and custard filling was tasty as well. Service took about 1 minute, so very quick. The venue is located inside Del Amo mall near the food court. Plenty of seating near by. I'd definitely come back for a quick treat of good ice cream.

I remember trying this place years ago. It didn't leave a lasting impression and I didn't think much of it. Recently, while I was at the mall, I saw it and something told me to try it again and I'm so glad I did! It was YUMMY. I got the Cookies 'n Cream & Ube swirl and it definitely left me wanting more. Like I wanted to come back the next day and get it again. Lol. There's always people waiting for their order and a line to order, but it goes by quickly. People obviously like it and for good reason - it's delicious!!! If you want something to satisfy your sweet tooth or cool you down, I recommend this place. : )

This is my go to when coming to Del Amo Mall! The custard taiyaki is my absolute favorite. Especially when you eat right off the hot plate. So soft and chewy in the middle which makes it the best. I also love getting their cheddar flavor for a more savory option. Their ice cream is also a must have and the amount they give you is enough to feed two. They have a tablet you can order on and the cashier as well. The line can get a bit long depending on the day and time. The wait can also be very long. But, I went this time on a Thursday at around 7pm and it was not packed at all.

Love Somi Somi! My favorite thing to get here is the taiyaki with custard! So good and reminds me of Japan!

There was an option to order from an employee or kiosk. I opted for the kiosk and got an upside down ice cream, I got ube (yum) but the fish pastry was cold and soggy. I was disappointed it wasn't fresh. I wouldn't come back to this location for that reason

The mall is now open. Would you will be reopen earlier than JAN?

    SomiSomi is open now!

Are you open during this time?

Unfortunately not at the moment. Del Amo Fashion Center is closed to the public until further notice.

    Are you open during quarantine?

Hi Jenny. The mall is completely closed right now so we have no choice but to close. Hopefully will reopen in a couple weeks.

Are they all really dairy-free? 😱 Are they also vegan-friendly then? (No milk, honey, etc)?

SomiSomi's soft serve ice cream is lactose and gluten free (except for the oreo flavor, which has gluten). The ahboong (fish shaped waffle cone) and taiyaki (warm pastry), however, are not lactose and gluten free!

Where in the mall are you exactly located?

We are located in the middle of the food court (Chipotle, Blaze, Panda, etc) and also the entrance to Macy’s.

How fast does the line move when it's long?

The line moves very quickly. The only wait time we have is usually for taiyaki orders as they are cooked to order for 3 minutes with limited space.

The panko crumbs on the chicken was nice and light. It was perfectly fried and not too hard/over crispy. The meat was also juicy. So we scoured its food court for a quick meal and found this stall with a large selection of Korean dishes. After browsing through their wall mount menu, we ordered the following dishes: A1 Galbi Tang: Do you like juicy pork ribs in clear broth? Then this dish is for you. It came with 2 huge pieces of super tender short rib simmered in a light but flavorful broth with some soft texture glass noodles. It also came with a small set of traditional Korean Banchan side dishes (with kimchi, preserved turnip and seaweed salad) and a bowl of steamed rice. A16 Hot Stone Bibimbap: This dish is for those who like veggies. Inside the hot stone bowl, there were lettuce, bean sprouts, carrots, turnips, mushrooms, and zucchini. Nicely arranged and topped with seaweed, fried egg, and slices of soft beef. On the bottom of the bowl, it had slightly burnt steam rice dabbed with sesame oil. Mixing them all together, it created a kaleidoscope of colors, and delicious blending of flavors and textures. This dish also came with one set of Banchan. For those who like spiciness, it provided Korean chili sauce in a sealed condiment cup. The portions were great and the prices were reasonable. Another great spot for casual Korean food in South Bay.
