Every dish was perfect and so so good - we had the Tri-Tip, Dijon Chicken, Fettuccini Alfredo, Rice, Roasted Potatoes and a Salad. Before our event, Fitch himself took his time to curate the perfect menu for our event and gave excellent suggestions. He expertly advised us on the amount of food would be needed for our guest count and it turned out to be perfect. The food was delivered on time and set up with chaffing dishes/heat/serving utensils and it looked great; very professional and organized. The good: I ended up ordering from here when I was in a time crunch because I had to wait for a washer repairman to come in a 11-1pm window. I tried the Fitch special, chicken with attitude, and chipotle sandwich. All were great! I really loved the second two because of the alfalfa sprouts. Micro greens always elevate sandwiches in my opinion. The chicken with attitude was saucy and flavorful without being too much. The bread was crunchy and not too thick. It wasn't too chewy and didn't make the sandwich lose its composition when you bit into it The avocado was fresh. The menu offered many options outside of sandwiches. Included were birria burritos, tacos and Italian dishes. My husband was super full from finishing a full sandwich. I ate half and felt satisfied though I could probably eat 3/4. Best breakfast burrito in town!! I religiously order this burrito once or twice a week. The breakfast burrito has bacon ham and sausage cheddar cheese potatoes and eggs an extra large tortilla I always save half for lunch. I'm excited to try the sandwiches and other things on the menu. This place is a little bit hidden in an apartment complex underneath the rental office. You can park in "future resident" spaces and walk down to the location. But I usually order my burritos from ubereats. It's more of a deli/ convenience store style Sandwich place. There are a few tables and chairs on the patio to sit. I was a little hesitant to try this place because it's located in the "clubhouse" for Ocean Club so I thought maybe it would serve just average food. After trying to find sandwiches in the area I decided to try it out and I'm so glad I did!! I ordered the Fitch's Special which is chicken, honey mustard, tomato, lettuce, bacon, swiss cheese and caesar dressing. I subbed cheddar for swiss. The sandwich was sooo flavorful with the double sauce going on and the chicken was really good too!! I read one of the reviews that said the chicken was rubbery which wasn't the case at all. I'm really picky with sandwiches and this was a huge hit. My aunt got the Pastrami Lover and while it was pretty good, we wouldn't order it again just because the pastrami was a bit chewy due to all the fat and sinew. The cost of two sandwiches was a little over $22 which is more than I'd like to spend on sandwiches, but it was so good. I have to subtract one star strictly due to the pricing of their food, but I will probably be back to try their chipotle chicken sandwich everyone keeps raving about! read more

The cook did not wash his hands before he fixed my food (or that of the take-out customer who hadn't shown up yet). The cook did not put on rubber gloves before fixing my food. The cook wasn't wearing a hat/cap or other head covering (to keep his hair from falling into the food). The cook used the back of his hand to wipe sweat and/or skin oils off his face as he fixed the food. As a result, I was so disgusted I couldn't even try the sandwich they made for me. I walked away from this $16+ meal . . . . and took away the sealed-in-a-bag potato chips and two cokes I'd also bought (they couldn't have been tainted) and got a great sandwich at a place 1700 yards to the north (whose name I won't say so that nobody can accuse me of stealth marketing on their behalf). The good news? They hire good IT people: the website makes it seem that Fitch's Kitchen is a TLC-infused mom-n-pop eatery, just the kind of respite from Big-Chain food joints that we're all tired of. Well, well, well this place was just a pleasurable secret spot! Let's start with the ratings it got, it has 5 stars for a damn reason and I stand behind every single star. The reviews don't lie, that's for sure. The location of this little spot is tough to find but SO very worth it. Its very near the Redondo Beach Pier. All you have to do is be up for a small little hike and adventure, follow the map and it'll guide you right to it. You'll have to walk through the beautiful Ocean Club condominiums which I fell in love with. This place is opposite from the pool they have at the center of the condos and UNDERNEATH the gym. You have to go down a set of stairs to reach it but I guarantee you won't regret it. I got "The 90277" sandwich. I am not kidding when I said it was to die for! It was just plain heaven in between two thick bread slices. My sandwich was made of Roast beef, ham, salami, pepperoncini, provolone cheese, mayo, avocado and onions ($8.99). The walk to find this place was an adventure! It's an easy walk from the pier and well worth the hike. Fitch's is tucked away beneath a gym, behind a pool and in the middle of a bunch of condominiums. The sandwiches are so good it's a wonder why there isn't a line out the door. The owner used to be at Leonardo's before he sold the joint and brought all the sandwiches here. I got the Whatever. By the name this sandwich seems like an afterthought until you bite into these glorious slivers of lamb with an amazing sauce, and the right proportion of veggies all in between an amazingly tasty baguette. First time here, and I was very pleased! I found out about the restaurant on Yelp and saw that it had great reviews so I decided to try it out. It's a little confusing to find but I read through everyone's reviews and found it no problem. There was two people working and they were so kind, telling us about what was popular and which ones they liked. I ordered the "Fitch's Special" and fries, my boyfriend got the "Chicken Chipotle", and our friend got the "Bi-Polar Hot". The "Chicken Chipotle" is their fan favorite. The sandwiches were honestly delicious- cooked perfectly, all the flavors tasted great (I tasted my boyfriend's and our friend's). The fries were cut large and were steaming hot. Pros: This place seems to always open whenever I need a bite! They're pretty popular for lunch and they have plenty of sandwiches to choose from. I'm sorry this place is not good. Food is bland. And there's a C grade in the window for 16 violations!!!!! Come on people.

First of all I'm sorry to have taken so long to write this. We held an informal memorial celebration in January at Wilderness Park in Redondo Beach--and they do not allow catering--so with only a week's notice, we asked Fitch to make us 75 individiual box lunches that we could pack in ourselves. When I went to meet him at his shop he treated me to a complimentary sandwich just for considering his service--and it was delicious. He prepared the sandwiches exactly the way we asked him to, and even took extra care snugly wrapping each sandwich one because he knew we would be carrying them by hand across uneven terrain at the park. He made us three types (Turkey, Tuna and Veggie), and they were all terrific. Each lunch included the sandwich, chips, a delicious cookie, and napkin and condiments. Fitch had everything ready on time, and came through beautifully; the lunches were very much appreciated by everyone who attended. Fitch is a genuinely gracious soul, and a consummate professional. My boyfriend's favorite is the French Diplomat which is a French Dip roast beef served on garlic bread with melted Swiss, and he adds an extra side of horseradish sauce (just ask for it upon ordering). I enjoy the Tuna Sandwich (add avocado) or Leonardo's Special for my cold sandwich selections. The food is very good but very overpriced on everything. He charges more for margaritas than Tony's on the Pier! And watch your receipt. He has been known to make "mistakes" and overcharge, and I'm not the only one, other people at the pool have noticed it. I do not buy from him anymore. I was trying to help the poor guy out, because I don't think he makes much especially in the winter months when it's slow at the pool, but he's kind of quirky. Never says Thank You, not once.. A little hard to find the place but located in a lush little hideaway, you know the food must be good since people have to seek it out. Follow the signage. Not your normal beach tourist bland food. It is SO NICE to have a really great sandwich (and so much more) spot in Redondo near the pier. There is a lot of unhealthy food in the area and only so many times you can eat the same thing at Catalina Coffee - this is a very welcome addition to the area! This was my first time there and I ordered to go. It is a cute little deli/market/restaurant under the Village leasing office and I was happily surprised that they have pretty outside seating overlooking the Village pool.
