Much like the street name this establishment resides in (Emerald), this deli is a hidden gem!--Literally hidden from plain sight, Fitch's Kitchen offers incredible tasting sandwiches that could be the best in South Bay. Find it INSIDE the Ocean Club Apartment Complex, BELOW the leasing office! ----The Food---- Chicken Chipotle ($9.50/Large)- I've never encountered a juicier, more tender chicken breast sandwich in my life. It's baked then generously spread with spicy chipotle sauce, avocado, tomato, sprouts, and provolone. They're all sandwiched in between two toasted and buttered, soft baguette bread. The sauce has a delicious kick to it that enjoyably lingers after each bite. I do wish, however, that there was an acid component to the sauce that could potentially lift the sandwich as a whole. The provolone cheese is a welcomed addition, although the taste of it was lost within the sauce and fresh ingredients. Despite these faults, it's an outstanding sandwich that deserves 4.5 stars alone. A large could satisfy two people. The Whatever ($9.25/Large)- Packed with Lamb gyro, lettuce, tomato, onions, spicy chipotle sauce with queso fresco. Much like the chicken above, that juicy and tender quality of the chicken is exhibited in the lamb and its wonderfully brilliant. The sauce is consistent in taste as the chicken sandwich above. The queso fresco would make anyone swoon. ---- Conclusion: 4.5 Stars. These two comforting sandwiches are the most popular items on the vast menu of cold/hot sandwiches, burgers, paninis, salads, vegetarian, pasta, and dishes. If the savoriness of both are any indication, I can't wait to come back to sample the rest of the menu. Although, I do wish they had a more accessible location and that each of the items were more affordable or at the very least, came with chips/fries/drinks, free of charge. Still, the tenants of the Ocean club apartments are lucky to have such a terrific deli/market in their reach. Extra Notes: -Accept credit card -Buy 9 sandwiches, get 10th for free -Fantastic, friendly service--but expect a wait for these fresh sandwiches -Tables outside near poolside are clean -Mondays offer 2 large tacos with beer for $7 -Plenty of free guest parking, then follow the signs to the leasing office. Fitch's is RIGHT below it. -Utilizes Grubhub -Restrooms are clean read more

This place is great! I have never had a bad sandwich or salad here. The Staff is super nice, and everyone is always friendly. It's a small place so be sure to order in advance online, and then your food will be ready for you! read more

I almost gave up finding this place but finally I read other comments and found the place. After you park your car, follow the signs to the leading office . then take the small stairs (left handside of the office. ). Technically right under the leasing office. Guy who took my order told me the chicken chipotle is their best seller so I got one. Did not disappoint. The place is clean. It is a deli and they have alcohol. 5 stars. read more

It is SO NICE to have a really great sandwich (and so much more) spot in Redondo near the pier. There is a lot of unhealthy food in the area and only so many times you can eat the same thing at Catalina Coffee - this is a very welcome addition to the area! This was my first time there and I ordered to go. It is a cute little deli/market/restaurant under the Village leasing office and I was happily surprised that they have pretty outside seating overlooking the Village pool. Another customer bragged about their breakfast burrito, his addiction to the Whatever sandwich and their pizzas. I had the Chipotle Chicken sandwich and it was tasty. Definitely going back soon! read more

Ok.......I am not a 5 guy, but...here it is. Crazy location, great, quality food. A pretty eclectic menu and fast. 25oz Bud Light and a genuine concern for how you like your meal. Working through the menu, as it's walking distance, but their version of French dip and the chopoltle chicken sandwich were stellar. I will see how they do a steak this week. My new favorite in RB...and I can walk! 37.5 stars out of 36.....y'all rock it read more

These guys are great! So convenient, perfect for a poolside snack, and the food is delicious! Good selection of beers. Nice guys.

Sandwiches are decent but service is poor. Waited 45 minutes for 3 sandwiches...when we arrived to pick it up they claimed they gave our order to someone else. So we had to wait again.. The previous time we went it also took 45 minutes ....placed a phone order and told us it would be ready in 45 minutes. When we arrived they barely started making it and we had to wait another 30 minutes on top of that. They are very short and not customer service oriented. read more

The sandwiches are incredible. PCH and Fitch's special are my favorite-- they're warm, toasted, and quite big. Ingredients are fresh. It's attached to part of an apartment complex, but it's directly accessible and you don't need to live there to eat there. I highly recommend it. read more

I am a lunch fan. The fact that I can walk here with my dog, get a sandwich and walk home, gets me exited. The Sandwiches are not cheap. Around $13. But they are big and full of flavor. Every day is a new special and if you give your number, they will text you random specials which can come in handy, when hungry. Just a basic sandwich shop from the outside, but the food is fantastic. Random entrees and salads too. Good place to get something To Go. read more

II brought my aunt here from Wisconsin and we had the turkey sandwich. It was really delicious. After we took a walk on the pier. I would definitely come back. Nice little hidden spot. read more

Fitch's Kitchen - Caterers Near Me - Redondo Beach, California

The only reason that it is a 4 star and not a five is due to a credit card fee ($0.75) a personal pet peeve of mine. Other than that, the Chicken Chipotle sandwich ($9.00) was just as good as what everyone else has been saying! Parking: plenty of guest parking Location: followed the advice and guidance of other Yelpers and found it easily! Follow the signs for the Ocean Apartment leasing office off of Emerald and just go down the stairs to your right! Chicken Chipotle: a little spicy kick. I don't like sprouts so i asked for it not to but included. He friendly suggested lettuce as a sub. Awesome sauce!! Around 8 duo dining tables. But you can just eat standing while enjoying the ocean view a block away! read more

hubby and I ordered delivery through Amazon prime I asked for tomatoes on the side so it wouldn't get soggy during delivery and they packed them in a little plastic container for me =) onion rings were good/average but the sandwiches were great! chipotle chicken 5/5 la Costa nostra 5/5 I haven't been in their restaurant yet so I can't review that yet.. but ill definitely check them out for lunch read more

Fitch's is a large deli in The Villages that serves really good hot and cold sandwiches, pizzas, a few simple entrees and has an ample beer cooler by the bottle. It's a pain to find, especially if walking from area hotels, pier, etc. Follow signs for the leasing office then go DOWN to the pool. It's right in front of the book BELOW the leasing office. But the walk is worth it. Excellent sandwich. Good value. Check out their website & menu. read more

I tried this place out for the first time yesterday with a friend. We both loved it! It is a hidden spot under a building. Just follow the "leasing office" signs, it is downstairs right next to the pool! My friend & I got the Chicken Chipotle sandwich. It was amazing & filling. We also got a side of the garlic Parmesan fries, which were delicious with the sauce it comes with. I also asked for some ranch on the side because I love ranch. The ranch was perfect with the sandwich & fries. I would def come again! Fitch was there & he was a really nice man. I felt like I was visiting his home instead just being at some random, small eat-in. The place has more of a "home-y" vibe. Highly recommend trying his restaurant out! read more

I went with my sister and broinlaw. clean nice little sandwich shop. I had the pastrami sandwich it was really nice. They had just finished up a huge catering order so my family couldn't get what they originally wanted but that being said we were still able to make very nice substitutions good times had by all. read more

Fan-FITCHing-tastic!! It took some sleuthing to find the old Leonardo's Deli that was on PCH in Redondo - so thankful we did! We ordered about 20 of the box lunches in advance for our post-wedding ceremony lunch. Everything was exactly as ordered and SO DELICIOUS. Everyone was impressed and wanted to know where we got the food. Fitch was super helpful with the advance ordering and payment. LOVE THIS PLACE!! read more

The subs here are amazing! Super loaded with ingredients that it has an amazing taste and they have s little supermarket to buy chips and beer. I'm wishing I was s local just because of this place haha. The only downfall to it was that finding the restaurant is a little confusing but just pay attention to the directions!! It is directly below the leasing office and next to the pool!! read more

Best Breakfast Burrito and Egg McMuffin in South Bay. So delicious and delivered through door dash. My go to after a late night out. Haven't had anything else from there but the breakfast sandwiches are top notch. read more

Went here this morning on a whim, as I've just moved into "the village." Man am I glad I did! I had the omelet! It was amazing. And my other dining person had the special- open faced pesto meatball sandwich. I tried that too and it was spectacular. I will definitely be going back here. Looking forward to them getting their coffee machine up and running. read more

Fantastic deli. Location is tough, but once you find it you will be pleasantly surprised to find the best sandwich shop in the south bay.

3 Out of 3 stars for the sandwiches. Very tasty. 1 Star lost for how long it took to get them and another star lost for having spent $50 on sandwiches and drinks and not being able to use the restrooms! What a joke. Isn't that illegal? Won't be back. Eat This Sandwiches down the road are still the go-to read more

5-Stars!!...We receive a lot of catering solicitation and I'm glad I decided to give them a chance for our 20 Yr. Anniversary celebration. I had never tried their food before but took a leap of faith and decided to go with them. I ordered for 300 ppl and received so many compliments from our employees that it was the BEST food we've had!...In my opinion, we've had many "best" food ordered but Fitch's Kitchen is definitely in top the "Best" food group but what makes them different from others, are the menu options. They tailored our menu for us, their staff was warm and professional and they served us during our event. Their wild-caught shrimp scampi was amazing, their chicken Dijon, salads and sides were absolutely delicious!...Oh, their mac 'n cheese salad was out of sight! I will definitely order from them again! --Thank you Fitch's Kitchen! read more

Worst service ever. Waited 45 minutes for a sandwich to be made and then got some lame excuse as to why. No apology for waiting, just excuses. Careful when you order because these guys can't keep orders straight at all. read more

Super long wait times for two sandwiches. I'm talking like over 45 minutes. $0.75 charge to use a credit card Snappy (as in rude, not quick) help behind the counter A beer (tall can) is like just under $5 which is INSANE. Way overpriced and not good enough to be worth it. It's close and convenient to those in the area, but it's been a complete disappointment 4/4 times I've visited. sandwiches are fine; fries are gross Salads are gross and the chicken was squishy - not sure if it was undercooked. read more

Great food. Recommend the tuna. Fresh and sooooo good. Also they take pride in their food.

During the weekday for lunch we waited 30 minutes for our sandwiches to be ready. This is an incredibly long wait time for a sandwich. However, I must say that the sandwich was very tasty. I don't think we will be back due to the poor service. read more

Food was not bad! Wouldn't drive to get it unless I was in the area but even that there are better options. Bread was borderline crispy and the sand which was nothing special. I ordered onion rings and the guy said they were coming out then he came back 10mins after I pretty much finished my food and said they were out of onion rings and offered me fries instead with no other choice I went with it. The fries took an extra 15 mins on top of that and now im full. Garlic fries are gross and there huge. Most likely wouldn't come back unless I had no choice but even then ilI have a water thanks. The tall guy was cool he had customer service and that's why I gave it 3 stars. read more

Poor service and rude. I assume it was the owner working today who looked overwhelmed and basically told us it would take 40 minutes to get a sandwich. We politely ordered and came back 50 minutes later. I gave him my receipt for pick up and his response was , what is it? Who says that? Why don't you read the ticket. The sandwich was small for the price and the food wasn't even bagged and ready to go. The sandwich was nothing special. Very disappointed, definitely will not be returning. read more

Tried this yesterday. Had the Whatever Sandwich lamb gyro meat, Not gyro, thick chunks of previously frozen and quite dry meat. Want a glass of water - you get tap water from the sink and no ice. They also charge extra 75 cents to use credit card which is against the law. Pretty poor place to go and prices are fairly expensive. read more

I want to change the name of this place from Fitche's Kitchen to The Hangover cure 2000. Was sitting on the couch enjoying a massive hangover and knew that i needed something tasty to help get me back on my feet. So yelped "breakfast" and this place popped up. What really got me was when i saw that this place was .1 miles away. Intrigued, i set out for an adventure to find this place i've never seen. Once i did, i realized why. The shop is under the leasing office of the complex next to mine. I walked in and thought the interior was pretty charming. Turns out the guy working behind the counter was Fitch himself. Nice working class type dude. He noticed the fog i had surrounding me and said,"don't worry, im gonna take care of you." Ended up walking away with two croque madame. The over medium egg on top of these delightful breakfast creations was the cats pajamas. So the fact that this joins is stumbling distance and makes food quick has earned Fitches Kitchen a triple thumbs up. read more

Seemed promising from the yelp reviews but we failed to notice that they had a C rating until after we had already received our sandwiches. We decided to give them a go anyway since we paid and they looked good but a few hours later we ended up with horrible food poisoning. read more

Horrible experience. Ordered delivery and after waiting over an hour I tried calling to get an update on the order since the order was for my family, including a child. I called the number listed 8 times and no answer each time. Then, 30 minutes later I get a text saying the order was cancelled. I tried calling again, no answer. I was willing to pick the order up if they didn't have a driver, but couldn't speak to anyone to try to do that. Well, there goes that experience which is too bad considering the great reviews about the food. read more

So, I'm not sure what the big deal is about this place. It's in a weird location and it's not an actual restaurant, but a store that has a deli that makes sandwiches. The person behind the register was insistent about me getting "the most popular" chipotle chicken so I got it. Um...not good. There's nothing special about it and the chicken has that rubbery weird fast food chicken texture. #don'tgetit read more
