Since I had already purchased my girlfriend flowers somewhere else. I stopped at another spot in the Los Angeles area, and I got some balloon service for the flowers. They had nice looking colors of red and other colors. Purchased the Balloons and they were not expensive. NIce employees, and I will be back in the future. read more

I live in Northern California and did not want to order flowers for my kids 25th wedding anniversary who live in Redondo Beach. He worked with me to come up with the best bouquet for them and would make sure it got delivered today even though it was already 3:30pm. Came here to get a couple bouquets for my mother and grandmother for their birthday. We parked and as we entered the shop we see a sign that states "Welcome to Conroy's!" And underneath is a promotion that states "Buy1 arrangement get 2nd for $20! ($80 or less)". So we excitedly walked in and the person working behind the desk was friendly and directed us to the chiller. Another worker in the chiller heard me and my fiance talking about how we thought the promo was really great. She asked what we were talking about and I told her the one in front of your store. As we were coming out of the chiller with our choices she tells us they can't honor their promotion because she doesn't know why that was out there and it may have been left there from a different time. I told her that you guys should really take it down if you're saying it's not true. I head to the register and the gentlemen proceeds to ring us up and says "how much did she say I was supposed to take off $20?" I said well your sigh says buy one get one for $20 but you're both saying that's not true. He then says oh I don't know how that got there we should really remove that and I said you should because that's false advertising. He then rings us up for 2 full price bouquets. As we were getting ready to leave we waited a bit to see if they would take the sign down and they didn't. They just kept working which I thought was really sad that they didn't honor a promo that was clearly in front of their store and then had no sense of urgency to remove it. My son and daughter bought me flowers from the Conroy's in Redondo beach off of Artesia and Inglewood Ave, my kids paid $99.86 and it was not worth that. I used to own and work at a flower shop and I know prices of flowers. It was mostly mums which are cheap flowers and 3 roses, 2 stems of stargazers and hardly no filler flower, and the flowers were NOT fresh, but the vase was nice. The lady that was there was very friendly and made me smile even more. I placed a custom order for the corsage and boutonniere set to match my daughter's dress. So my builder (B&R Creative Builders) sent us some gifts when we had our baby a few months ago however I don't know who messed up (I don't think it's the builder though) but it never made its way to us. A few weeks go by and my builder's office manager called you ask if I received anything from them for the new baby and I replied that I had not. They contacted 1800 flowers again and a second attempt was made and it was (again) delivered to the wrong address. In an attempt to make things right 1800 flowers made a third attempt and I guess by the third try they decided to use Conroy's? Unless they had used Conroy's all along and not another local florist? If I could, I wouldn't give it a single star. Ordered a bouquet for my wife's birthday. Paid an extra couple dollars for morning delivery. The bouquet was supposed to be from 9 to 12. In the end, 2pm, no bouquet. Support service as scripted write the same messages (this is after switching from answering machine to a real person) spent another hour, after the 4th time, and another lost hour, managed to call and ask for a refund. I was disappointed that the store closed early on a night I had planned to be there before their posted close hours. After chatting with one of the store workers on Yelp several days after I decided to change may rating from a 2 star to a 4 star review. There were a couple reasons for this: 1. When a store was enter takes the time to reach out, apologise and offer alternatives it shows they care about their customers and want to do right by them. 2. Nico explained that they hadn't gotten much traffic since 4pm that day, and couldn't justify staying open till 6:30pm given the current low volume. 3. I hope to stop by again in the future. Next time I'll call ahead to make sure they are open. read more
