Food was great looking and tasted okay. Looked like creative dishes. I had ordered the meatloaf burger but did not think it was like a meat loaf sandwich like other restaurants, big and bulging out of the bun, but it tasted okay. Felt like a regular hamburger for a child. Friends meals were scrumptious! Buttermilk chicken, loaded fries, and the pizza. The inside of the restaurant was nicely decorated, service was medium because it just opened and so many orders. Wait to get into the restaurant was one hour but it went fast. I recommend this place even if you have to wait. Lots of breakfast meals. Staff was nice. Bathroom was okay.
The Burittos, pasta, tacos, sausages, soups are amazing and honestly fire. But the fried chicken, pizza, and salads are mid. banana pudding was okay imo, but I only had 2 in my life so idk what banana pudding is supposed to look like. The horchata and lemonade is fire, kinda pricey but worth it for beverage lovers. Staff are really nice, no mean managers or Karen's really help the staff be happy, which in return they treat us well. good vibez.
Food: Got the Veggie Omelet (with an upgrade from toast to Banana Pancakes) as well as the Shrimp n' Grits--the former was pretty standard for an omelet, while the latter was rich with flavor. Portions were pretty big! Service: Great! While the establishment is kind of small, we didn't have to wait long (~20 min) to get seated on a Sunday morning. When seated, our server was attentive and periodically checked in on us. Ambiance: Casual, rustic. Parking: Limited parking. Street parking available.
I didn't have any food pics because we ate it all! This place is SO good! Best matcha I've ever had, ordered the steak and eggs which was super flavorful with a blueberry pancake instead of toast on the side, and I'm so glad I did! The pancake was perfectly cooked and I hardly used any syrup because the lemon butter just brought all of the flavors together. Our waitress Adriana was super sweet and helpful, including all of the other staff. The restaurant is clean and has a cute inviting vibe to it! We will be back when we are in the area!!
The Pan is a really good spot for breakfast. I've been to a few locations. This one has patio seating which I why I often choose it. It's very casual and relaxed. The breakfast is pretty consistent and there are many items to choose from. The service is friendly and never had any issues getting someone's attention. Recently I tried their short rib eggs benedict which was really tasty. It was a good portion and not overwhelming. The chipotle cream sauce is a nice alternative to hollandaise. Their pancakes are all pretty good as are their omelettes. There is nothing frilly or fancy about their dishes but you probably can't really go wrong with whatever you choose.
Ordered the pastrami and egg sandwich. It was unique because it had crispy hash browns inside. The sandwich is huge and could easily be shared or saved for another day. It was very filling, but also pretty heavy and oily. My wife ordered the loaded hash browns with guava pancakes. The hash browns had way too much aioli sauce and the guava pancakes had a lot of sauce as well, so I'd recommend asking for the sauce on the side if you want something a little lighter. My 5-year-old got the sausage, hash browns, and pancakes, and the portion sizes were great for him. The food is good, but most of the dishes are on the heavier side. Service is solid and ambience is chill.
Good food, generous portions, and an enjoyable atmosphere We went to The Pan for breakfast and overall had a really good experience. I ordered the Pan's Original / Old-Fashioned Hash, which was a very generous portion with good flavor. The hash browns were well cooked but not crispy, topped with shredded cheese, bacon, sausage, and two eggs over medium. I added the chili aioli on the side, which I enjoyed. Everything tasted good, but I eat pretty light and couldn't finish it -- portions are definitely on the larger side. My sister ordered the French toast with eggs, bacon, and sausage, and she enjoyed her meal as well. We also tried the seasonal salted caramel latte. It had good flavor and came topped with whipped cream. It was a bit sweet for me, so I added some half and half, but it was still a nice hot drink. Our waitress, Des, was great -- friendly, always smiling, and checking in on us throughout the meal. The ambience was enjoyable. We ate outside, and the space felt rustic and comfortable with wooden benches, metal chairs, and a country-style vibe. The heating lamps made the outdoor seating easy to enjoy. We didn't have a long wait, which was a pleasant surprise since this place often has lines. Parking is limited (only a few spots), but there is residential street parking nearby if you pay attention to the signs. I'm giving this four stars, which for me is still a very good rating. A five-star review usually means there's no room for improvement. While the menu does offer à la carte options, it would be nice to see a few clearly labeled lighter or smaller-portion options for those who don't want a full plate. Overall, good food and a spot I'd come back to.
Sometimes you just want a no-frills, feel-good brunch spot -- and The Pan in Gardena hits that sweet spot. Came here for a late-morning weekend brunch and left very happy. This spot strikes a great balance between cozy comfort and solid food. Parking: There's a small lot in front, but if that's full, residential street parking nearby makes it pretty painless. Wait Time: About 10 minutes on a Saturday around 11 a.m. for a party of two -- totally reasonable for brunch hours. Vibe: Super cozy with quirky Southern-inspired decor. It feels warm and welcoming, not pretentious. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, which is a nice bonus. Food: * The chilaquiles with carne asada were good and satisfying, served with rice and beans -- hearty without being overwhelming. * The guava pancake was the standout: fluffy, moist, and lightly sweet. * The tiramisu pancake was a bit of a letdown for us. It leaned dry and didn't really deliver on the coffee flavor we were expecting. Still enjoyable, just not a reorder compared to the guava. Service: Truly fantastic. Everyone was sweet, attentive, and quick without rushing us -- exactly what you want during a relaxed brunch. Restroom: One single, gender-neutral restroom. Overall, a solid brunch option in Gardena with great service and a cozy atmosphere. I'd definitely come back, especially for those guava pancakes.
There was a 25 min wait when we arrived for brunch. No complaints, just goes to show how good their food is. Service was quick after being seated. We ordered three items: the loaded hash browns, Pan's scramble, and guava pancakes. If you are lactose intolerant, come prepared with your Lactaid pills or whatever you need to do because you'll want to try them all.
Love coming here. You definitely get that out of the cityy on vacation quality both look & taste breakfast, in the hood lol. You don't find too many spots like these in LA. Personally, i normally leave the city for satisfaction guaranteed. Atmosphere, service, location, all definitely play a roll, at least for me. Let's dive in shall we; The things on the menu will make you go crazy and come back again (like me). I definitely love a variety of food which intro's a personal favorite thing about them. They allow you to add literally just one pancake or toast which goes great when you wanna satisfy that wondering eye, but having your eye completely somewhere else. I love how you don't have to get the full order, it can just be added on. The banana pancake hit home, ended up taking the toast home. The Short Rib Benedict was amazingly good. The corn gives it a lovely taste. Potatoes with veggies was a cool choice. For a side. Btw, ive had the chorizo scramble i think its called? BOMB! Really enjoyed the service. Everyone was so attentive, even the greeter. Location is nice and surprisingly big for its size. The breeze you get inside and outside feels nice. Parking might be one of their cons, but you can easily find some on that residential block behind them. I would've given them a straight 5, however i was not too pleased that i overheard one of the staff members mention to another one that they were sick, that they couldn't taste or smell. The employee had a face mask, but being the one bringing your food over? Yeah, that did not sit right or should slide. If you are sick, especially with symptoms like those, you should stay home! This won't affect me from coming back, but i hope they read this or consider it for the future. That can also get the whole team sick and bring the flock down one at a time! Anywho, dive in!
When I think of a hearty breakfast that will hit the spot and that is local to me I will always think The pan's loaded hash browns. It hits the spot every time. I also love their mango lemonade. The chilaquiles and pancakes are yummy too. Service is friendly but maybe a lil too friendly to the men iykyk ambiance is country style and is always busy and parking lot is usually full so you might have to park on the street. The atmosphere was good, pretty clean restaurant. The food was ok, I expected so much better. We ordered the stuffed French toast, the chilaquiles, loaded hash browns, pancakes, and a burrito. The hash browns were burnt from the bottom, not crispy, burnt. The burrito was ok. I ordered country scrambled eggs and got the regular non seasoned boxed mix eggs. The potato's lacked seasonings and it looked like the seasoning was added to the bottom of the plate after cooking. Chilaquiles were mid. Nothing special, also lacked seasonings. The pancakes were the worse pancakes I've ever tasted. Tasted like flour or pancake mixture. Our server rarely came to our table to help us. We had to wait about 15 minutes for the check. Not sure if they were understaffed our what. Considering our section has no people besides us.
If you only knew how excited I am writing this review. I first visited this location in 2015 before becoming a Yelp person. In 2015 I decided this was the best breakfast restaurant I've ever had. I returned today, and ordered the same loaded hash as I did in 2015 and tears fell from my eyes. The amount of flavors that exploded on my taste palette. 20/10- I would definitely recommend. Service was great and I would be visiting on my next trip to LA. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great breakfast.
The Pan, Gardena is too poppin' I really enjoyed my food. I wish they had better parking though. I did like how organized they were re: wait time - they sign you in and then you can see how many people are ahead of you/how many total are waiting to be seated from your phone (that was cool to me). We had Turkey sausages, Bluesberry Pancakes & Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. It gives mom and pop. Servers are friendly. Food is delicious. I will be returning. read more

The Pan - Gardena Review I come to The Pan in Gardena pretty often, and it never disappoints! Sometimes I go for the waffles, but when I get pancakes, I always choose the Foster Banana ones -- they're so flavorful, fluffy, and just melt in your mouth with the syrup . I usually add a side of fries or a chicken breast for something savory, and it pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the pancakes. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast or brunch, I'd highly recommend trying their pancakes or waffles -- you really can't go wrong here! If this review was helpful, give it a like! read more

I was looking for a good brunch spot and The Pan did not disappoint! I ordered the loaded hash browns that can topped with a delicious sauce bacon sausage cheese and eggs..I added jalapeños to it as well. Definitely will be back to try more on the menu! Party of 6, we sat outside on the patio, very casual brunch spot. The service was fine. Everybody enjoyed what they ordered! -Raspberry pancakes (3)- very thick. I could only finish half of it, I should have ordered a single pancake individually instead. Supposed to have a filling but I don't think I noticed any. It was topped with some raspberry sauce but I would have liked much more on it. It was more like regular buttermilk pancakes with a drizzle of raspberry on top. -Side of hash browns- I ordered it extra crispy but it wasn't. I still ate it and they were good, just regular hash browns. read more

Small intimate setting. Metal chairs outside option. Parking is very limited. We had to park on street. Was greeted like a minute after arrival. Staff were busy. My Dad and I used to come here often, but for whatever reason we hadn't been in years. We visited on a Monday, and I was happy to discover the food is still delicious. We were seated immediately and our server was prompt and attentive throughout the dining experience. I ordered the loaded hash browns with the chili aioli sauce on the side, and a single specialty pancake, banana nut. My Dad ordered the stuffed french toast. Everything was fresh and divine! What can I say? This is my favorite breakfast spot every single time I come here and eat. I'm never disappointed today. I love this place for breakfast!!!! The pan never disappoints!!!! I got the chicken sandwich which was on a croissant and fries. The sandwich was great especially the croissant and the fried chicken. I'm just like how did they pair a croissant with fried chicken?!?! My mom enjoyed her breakfast as well. Our waitress was nice and very attentive to our needs as she kept checking in on us. The Pan is small as I feel this place gives a small classic dinner feel as decor is placed along the walls. If you haven't tried this place and are contemplating coming here!! Stop thinking and come here! You won't be disappointed! read more

They have another location about 2 miles away from this one, although this location is definitely their most popular. It's somewhere in between a traditional diner and standard breakfast restaurant. Our server was very polite, although it took quite a bit of time for all of our food items to come out. They have a very small free parking lot attached, and we were lucky enough to find a space for our Sunday brunch, but most other people I noticed had to do free street parking which is fairly plentiful in this part of town. I'm giving it a 4/5 because the flavors were good but not great, I have had better recently, but I am still happy that we tried it. For my meal I chose the Short Rib Benedict and thought it had some nice flavors although I was surprised it did not come with a side. It was just the Benedict. I have to give it a 3/5 though because the eggs were completely hard-boiled and any true good Benedict has to have poached eggs or at least a soft boil. That really took away from the flavors. I also ordered a Cinnamon Roll Pancake on the side and was sad to see it was full of nuts. It really took away from the cinnamon flavor and I felt like I was eating a nut pancake. The caramel latte was nice and I would recommend ordering that. Overall a decent breakfast spot, but considering I drove down from West LA specifically for it I don't plan to be back. I came here for breakfast with my sister since she was really wanting steak and eggs. The steak was incredibly tender, juicy, and full of flavor, and it was just $25. I'd choose this place any day over spending more than $100 at a fancy steakhouse. Plus, the service is outstanding; they're quick and super friendly. I've been a regular here for years and will definitely return. Oh, and take a look at my pics... they even shaped my steak into a heart! read more

We stopped here for breakfast this morning. I ordered the two eggs( over hard) , bacon home potatoes, sour dough toast. My hubby had one waffle. When the server brought the food, immediately I knew it was not going to be good. 1st- their potatoes are FROZEN cubes. They were dry as the Sahara desert,I counted maybe 2-3 pieces of bell peppers and 2 specs of onions. Who serves potatoes like that? 2nd- overheard eggs means just that! I should see NO RUNNY YOKE. 3rd, most restaurants serve 2 pieces of toast. Here,only one. 4th, cheap,thin,see- through bacon. It looked like paper. Overall, I could of had a better fast food breakfast at McDonald's. They pride themselves on this NOT being fast food,yet if you can't even serve a fresh,hearty breakfast? Come on now. Their cooks just slopped this mess with no effort or care. One of the most simplest foods to cook? Is breakfast and this place failed... It's shameful. I resent their menu listing " home style " potatoes. Trust and believe, they pulled them right out of their freezer. They didn't even cook properly with oils and adequate peppers/ onions. A family favorite! The pan is always reliable, and yummy! You know it's good because it's always packed. This is a go to for me after church on Sunday! Great service, the food comes out fresh and hot, and it's flavorful and filling. I like the loaded hash browns, pizzas, salads, chili fries, burgers especially the meatloaf and skillet burger and the fries. The aoli is so good and the service is quick friendly and attentive! Came here early on a Friday morning, the outdoor seating had heat lamps but was still a little chilly. Craving pancakes this is a great spot, ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes and it totally hits the spot, added the coconut syrup and it was perfect. Moist pancake with nuts and a balance of sweet syrup, I didn't even have to add extra syrup. The biscuits with gravy that accompany the southern dish was creamy, savory and the perfect carbs to get my morning started. Can't wait to be back. For a busy breakfast the service was excellent. I went to this place on a Saturday with a medium sized party (3 adults, 2 kids). I would recommend making a reservation. We got there around 9:30am and the wait was about 20-25 minutes. The parking lot is VERY small and you are better off finding street parking. The server was nice and checked up on us twice after we got our food and we did not wait too long for our food. I got the guava n cream crepe and a side of hash browns. I really enjoyed the guava purée. If they sold a jar of it, I would buy it. I did not enjoy the cream cheese on the inside. It was WAY TOO MUCH. I ended up taking out most, if not all, of it out (just used my fork and knife). I think if you are like me, the guava pancakes would be the better option. The whipped cream was amazing and very tasty. It was light and I ate most of it (the three dollops was the perfect amount). I got a side of hash browns because there were $5 and it is pretty much what you pay for. I have no complaints about it, it hit the spot! read more
Wow what a variety they have on this menu ! Depending on the days and times you come, it could be very crowded and parking is limited. Small lot with neighborhood street parking. My 1st time coming here it was a weekday morning and it was fairly empty with no wait. We sat inside at a table to the right. That day I tried their Cinnamon Roll Pancakes, and they were very filling, but delicious. They did take a long time to come out though. My 2nd time coming it was a Sunday morning, so it was a bit crowded, which was expected. The wait was about 30-40minutes, but once seated, the waiter was very attentive. She came to check on us many times. We were seated to the left which is partially outside. The food came fairly quick considering the amount of people that were there. We ordered steak (medium well) and eggs (poached) with shrimp & grits. Everything was pretty good and flavorful. However, the eggs could've been made better and drained of the water. Other than that, the place is small and cute and has cute decor. I would come back. read more

I absolutely love this restaurant. It's one of my favorite places and I tell everybody to come here. I'm very happy to see this place expanding and opening more locations because that's more opportunities for me to stop in and try their delicious pancakes! I believe I've tried every single one on the menu and my favorites. Hands-down are the blueberry and the pineapple upside down. The cinnamon swirl is pretty good, but quite sweet! The service is always wonderful. They're very nice and attentive even when it's a busy day. I love coming here for the good food, the good service and good atmosphere. read more
It's been a while since I had been here. It's always busy so there was a long wait. After all this time, food still is still reliably delicious. We got chicken and waffles and loaded potatoes. So good! Even the pepperoni pizza was amazing. Parking May be a little tricky but we can usually find parking on the streets near by. Can't wait to go back. read more

If you come right when we open you should be able to sit down right away, less crowded will be after 1pm. We serve breakfast all day.
Do they allow dogs in outdoor seating areas?
Yes. They also accommodate the dogs by offering water and beef patty !
What are the vegan options?
There are no vegan items on the menu. Could you possibly tweak items since they offer Beyond Meat for an additional charge? Sure, but my experience dining in was subpar and their hesitation verifying vegan ingredients was alarming.
Can I make a reservation over the phone?
From experience, they do not accept reservations. Best bet is to join the waitlist and be sure to let them know when you arrive.
When do u stop serve breakfast?
Breakfast is served all day, yum! We had breakfast at 2pm yesterday! Lol
Just tried to place an order on-line for pick-up but it's not allowing me to do that. I guess since it's mother's day, a holiday, Pan doesn't accept on-line orders for pick-up on holidays?
Yeah, we tried the same thing and they canceled the order within 2 minutes. We then called and they left us on hold for 30 minutes before we just hung up and decided to eat somewhere else. I take it they were really busy.
Do people physically there waiting get less priority than the yelp waitlist?
No, everyone is on the same digital waitlist - if you wait in person you input your party info upon arrival. Yelp waitlist just means you add onto that list without being there physically in person. Same big list, in order of when info was submitted.
Do they serve mimosas?
I’m pretty certain they don’t serve alcohol so no mimosas...☹️ But they have excellent lemonades!!
